    trying to buy us off, but also a different bill. I'd love a nice raise, but it doesn't change how terrible school vouchers will be. Also, I'm fairly certain I read somewhere that the state funding for teacher raises would be temporary, although maybe I'm wrong. If it is, how will my fairly poor district come up with that extra million or so a year to maintain those salaries?
