  2. When Obamacare kicked in I saw my healthcare cost increase significantly and when we had our yearly meeting it was without a doubt the cause. Healthcare costs are absolutely affected by government. Do you have a problem with DOGE trying to cut wasteful spending?
  3. The 100 people that vote must be
  4. AND….. It is not Capital Murder to be committing a felony during a Murder. It is Capital Murder to intentionally or knowingly kill a person only in certain specific situations, some of which are felonies. Examples are, killing more than one person during the same incident, killing a police officer or firefighter acting in the line of duty, Murder for hire, during a robbery, sexual assault, etc., killing a child under 15 years old and so on. Possessing a stolen credit card is a felony. Just for example, let’s say the suspect in this case, had a stolen credit card in his pocket. He would then be actively committing a felony. That doesn’t upgrade a Murder to a Capital Murder. The DA kind of threw gasoline on the fire and probably caused confusion when he made a statement something like, he was not going to seek the death penalty. There was no death penalty to seek. First, it does not fit the elements of the crime and secondly, they cannot seek the death penalty for someone under 18 years old. Then we start seeing comments like, “Oh, they are going to let him get away with whatever!!
  5. First time for everything…. I hate reading police reports. I spent about 30 years trying to teach cops to speak normal English. One of my pet peeves, and it was at least a couple of times in the I report you linked, is the phrase, “It should be noted”. No kidding? Newsflash: Everything should be noted. I was approving a report one time and called in the officer to completely rewrite it. Almost every sentence started with, it should be noted. It should be noted that I have arrived about five minutes after being dispatched. It should be noted that there were several offices already on scene. It should also be noted that I saw a man who appeared to be unconscious in the front yard, and it should be noted that there were several witnesses nearby…. YOU’RE GIVING ME A HEADACHE!! 😳 Then the policespeak. 🤣 I then detained him in handcuffs (cuffed behind the back) blah blah….. Why not just say, I handcuffed him by in the back? Another favorite is, I saw a red in color Ford Mustang. I guess that’s for the benefit of people who don’t know that red is a color.

  8. Healthcare costs have nothing to do with the government. If anything, Medicare helps keep costs down by with their pricing schedules. DOGE can’t help much on this one. What is $84 billion against $3 trillion (total cost, public and private).
  9. Well the lady Cards choked up another series. Appears that they will finish 14-13 in conference and 27-26 on the season. I do not see them winning any of the last 4 and probably go 0-2 in SLC tournament They either can’t recruit well or simply don’t compete well or possibly a combination of the 2 plus poor coaching
  10. Yes, I was somewhat surprised to get a heart from Reagan. We agree on the symptoms, but I’m pretty sure we won’t agree on the cure. Without lobbying reform and campaign finance reform, Big Pharma and the Insurance Industry will continue to pick our pockets. We do pay the most as a percentage of GDP for healthcare with inferior outcomes. I did extensive research on this using the CIA’s World Fact Book a few years back. My career was in insurance. For all you youngsters out there approaching Medicare eligibility DO NOT buy an Advantage plan. Keep your Medicare rights. AARP’s plan with United Healthcare and Mutual of Omaha sell good Supplements. At least, United is good for now (that’s what I have).

  12. Another bad day. Stocks close at same amount as yesterday. Lol
  13. I can name multiple reasons to vote for Republicans to stay the course, can anyone list reasons to vote for the democrats, other than they hate Trump? What’s appealing, it it love for MS-13, love of wasteful spending, love of open borders, love of men pummeling women in sports?? Help me out, what’s the appeal?
  14. Will UIL stay in the same playoff profile next year as it was this year or will it be a full year D1 D2?
  15. Couple names floating around but w/the search firm its tough to get any intel
  16. I've had recruiting guys from 247 tell me Kavian Bryant is in their opinion the #1 dual threat QB in the country in the Class of 2027...not to mention he's a P4 basketball recruit
  17. Silsbee will most definitely be D2 in basketball
  18. From a football standpoint adding Kavian Bryant and his brother to an already strong Silsbee squad immediatley makes them a state contender....from a basketball standpoint it puts them in the conversation depending on if they go D1/D2....definitely puts them in the D2 talk
  19. Looks like the public disagrees with you. PS -- I saw the new democratic slogan: DeMS 13
  20. Any idea on interview candidates?
  21. If you have not read the police report, it gives a pretty good indication of what happened. While it only gives the statements of several officers, what I picked up on was there are at least 30 witnesses listed on the report (names redacted of course), and they collected cell phones, meaning a possibility that the murder was recorded. @tvc184 - one officer statement said they found the knife on a bleacher partially folded.....you were right about it being a pocket knife. 22. and IF they get him home (unlikely) - he's getting deported again - Trump administration already confirmed.....
  23. Kountze and Warren are tied 2-2 and will finish the game Monday. A Warren player was seriously injured and they postponed the rest of the game. Prayers for the young man
  24. Everyone that I have spoken to says Jones is staying in Silsbee. We will see. In order to be eligible for next season, he would need to transfer now. Otherwise, he takes a risk of not being signed off on or DEC rules him leaving for athletic purposes. If so, he would have to sit a year from when he enrolled at what school he transfers to. It's not as easy at it may seem.
