I don't believe the "Fox" poll either. If you scroll down you'll see that's it's not a Fox poll per se. It's only paid for by Fox. From the article: "Conducted April 18-21, under the direction of Beacon Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R), this Fox News survey includes interviews with a sample of 1,104 registered voters randomly selected from a national voter file. Respondents spoke with live interviewers on landlines (127) and cellphones (703) or completed the survey online after receiving a text (274)." It could be slanted towards the D. It gives you a total number but doesn't give the actual break down. Plus you don't know how many were truthful in their answers. Questionable: Overall approval of Trump’s job performance comes in at 44%. (Why? He made promises and kept promises. Maybe people just aren't used to this.) Forty-two percent approve of the job JD Vance is doing as vice president, while 51% disapprove. (What has he done bad that would cause a 51% disapproval rating?) For Elon Musk’s work with DOGE, 39% approve and 56% disapprove. (Now this is really weird. Why would anyone be against cutting waste, fraud and abuse?) Remember, their was a long list of polls that had harris winning in 2024. How did that turn out? This is why I don't believe either poll. I can see with my own eyes that he's doing "exactly" what he campaigned on and "won!"

That's great if he does but we need a solid DC also since our DC went to Lufkin I believe. We have a OC who knows our kids. Don't want to lose all the people who allready have relationships and a good guage on our kids abilities

At least it is HC that has been a part of the offensive staff on State Championship teams. He should be able to help with his experience with championship offenses. Probably has good connections to get some quality offensive coaches.

That is how search firms work. Businesses or boards pay the search firm to find candidates. They typically do not hire a search firm and then do the search themselves.

Did the search firm make the hire? Or was it the school board?

I'd be interested in knowing what kind of hires this firm has gotten for other programs in the past. Is the firm known to get good hires or were the school leaders being lazy and willing to let anybody handle it long as it didn't have to be them?

I grew up in Tyrrell Park - a predominantly black neighborhood. Those stories I told about looking back on the good times were with both my white & black friends. No matter the color - WE ALL SHARED THOSE GOOD TIMES! Sometimes, life is what you make of it. We were on the poorer side than most. I never knew it though. I said this about my Mom at her funeral. "She made EVERYTHING out of NOTHING". You can't tell me your Dad never laughed, never smiled, never enjoyed anything when he was young. YOU have chosen to spotlight the difficulties in his life instead of the shining points, though they may be few. Try reversing your approach, and I guarantee you'll be a better person for it.

My guess is he is using their internal polling which has a better number. I recall during the election when polls had Kamala wining the Presidential election and trump and team telling folks it was in conflict with their internal numbers.....and by who is President right now.......they were right. Then add, who are these Republicans that regret voting for Trump? None of my Trump supporting friends regret it.... Lets be real - are we to believe the same media that told us Biden ran circles around his staff??
