  1. Past hour
  2. I would keep a eye on FB Crawford in this one
  3. Winning wise it's a big step up. I've never met a coach who would rather be coaching a middle of the road 6A team opposed to a 3A that could win state.
  4. Today
  5. I don't agree with everything DJT does. If I did, then I would be a mindless automaton like many people seem to be. But I can tell you right now, between DJT and Crazy Uncle Joe or Kamala the Ho, the choice is simple and crystal clear. Those were the choices. I made mine, and I'm happy with it. The choice to me was to go in the exact opposite direction of where I thought we should be headed (Biden/Harris) or head in the right direction with a few roadblocks and detours to navigate (Trump). It may take longer than I'd like, and the detours may be a little bumpy, but I'm gonna have a better chance at getting where I want to go with DJT. The alternative choice (ultra-progressive) was not only never going to even get me in the vicinity of where I wanted to be, it was going to put ALL of us in a bad place. Piss...moan... do whatever you like, but we will be in a better position when this is all said & done.
  6. Interesting seeing this posted prior to the end of the season. Didn't they just get brand new baseball facilities? Turf and all that?
  7. Chester, Brookeland in the 1A division I believe.
  8. I understand. This will be a long post, so don’t read if you wish. I’ll try to explain my thoughts. To answer your gas questions, this was my business for decades. Gas is a commodity that fluctuates with the seasons & barrel pricing. While Brent & WTI are low right now, Spring seasonal blends (required for environmental regulations) add significant cost. I wouldn’t expect prices to come down a lot until late summer if the barrel price remains low. Mudbugs are expensive everywhere this year. Plus, core season isn’t until Mid May. You’ll pay more the earlier you buy. Now, to the core with some background. I grew up on a farm in far north Texas. We were literally poor as the dirt we farmed & went bankrupt due to a bad season & weather. My dad was able to get on at the local DuPont La Porte plant starting out bagging 100 lb bags and paid back all of our debts. I learned to be frugal at an early age. My wife & I have always lived well below our means. I shop for basics at Aldi as I find them much cheaper than anyone else. Other groceries I typically buy at Kroger using digital or regular coupons. If it’s not on sale—or I don’t have a coupon—I don’t buy it. We only eat out 1 or 2x a month. Then, it’s usually Chilis, or Subway, or our local Texmex. Sometimes, Popeyes—if I have a coupon. I use my Veteran discount everywhere that allows. My wife’s disease is untreatable & incurable. It is a Parkinson’s Plus disease (CBD/PSP) which has a life expectancy of 7 years. We’ve beaten that already by almost a year. Every day is a blessing. I’m sure you know what I mean & Im sorry for your cancer. Wishing you the best! What I don’t want is to lose her prematurely because of a side effect that we can’t get medical care to address. For the first time, I didn’t vote. So, I won’t slam. But, I can critique with—what I try to be fair—criticisms. I wouldn’t have voted for Harris—period. Trump scared me with his stance on medical. But, I felt he would be better on immigration & the economy. Not a fan of tariffs, but I understand his goal. I wish the tax cuts being permanent had been first on his agenda. I’m good with immigration. Basically, I’m okay for now with his performance. I haven’t seen a large spike in prices because of how I shop. The prices that are higher have been higher since the last administration and are because of ‘sticky prices.’ Once they go up, they rarely come back down to Pre-inflation levels. We’ll see how it goes from here.
  9. I have enough sense to not base Trumps term on his first 100 days. I also have enough sense to say I could change my mind in time.
  10. No teams in the Golden Triangle area. LCM has recently moved up to the top 15 in 4A. Nederland hung around top 15 in 5A for a few weeks until the loss to PNG.
  11. I think that’s what’s important to note. It’s important to remember that Herbert Hoover, Jimmy Carter, and Joe Biden all won elections, too. It’s okay to say “yeah, I voted for him, but this isn’t working out like he said it would-it’s a little concerning.” It’s the ones who say “oh, none of this matters… Trump won and this is all his plan. Art of the Deal!” Those are the guys who just don’t have any sense.
  12. Well most recently a local 5A school stripped the AD title from a coach and hired someone else… before the hire was made the local news paper said 6A schools and bigger 5A schools in the state are going to this method. I was thinking a multi HS district always has.. not a one town, one HS school district. Then seeing he did not have that AD title just makes me wonder if it’s true and will we now start seeing this more often… [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]
  13. Totally agree. The polling is the election, not from 1200 people.
  14. It should be noted that people including myself can be disappointed with certain areas of his first 100 days but would still vote for him again. Polls means nothing
  15. baddog

    Harvard

Ain’t it funny how people have an epiphany when their cash cow gets cut? Lmao [Hidden Content]#
  16. He does get to be AD, he was just boys coordinator in Elgin
  17. That’s a pretty big step down from Elgin (5A-D2) to Woodville I feel like for that coach…
  18. 6-4 come from behind again 3 over 500. Now sweep tomorrow
  19. Has any team around here cracked the top 10 all year? Seen a couple”others receiving votes but I think that’s all I’ve seen.
  20. 7 games left for the cardinals and really need to win 5 of the 6 conference games to have a chance 36-12 and still have a chance for 40 regular season wins. They are going to finish with a very good season, but rest assured the only SLC team to make it to the postseason will be the winner
  21. Round Top-Carmine vs Hull-Daisetta Game 1: 4:30pm Thursday, May 1 Game 2: 30 minutes after Game 1 Game 3: If needed, 5pm Friday, May 2 All games played at New Caney West Fork Spurger vs Richards One game - 6:30pm Thursday, May 1 @ Trinity HS
  22. Lol. There will always be a whataboutism from both sides. It has to be done because if one is not consistent with their outrage, then it is simply whining, not conviction.
