I have officiated HS football and baseball for years. Fans, coaches, players have all gotten out of hand with belittling umpires. We could care less, what teams are playing and do the best we can to call a fair game. I have a great job and make more money than most, at my regular job. So officiating HS sports is a hobby that most of us take seriously. We are going to make mistakes in both sports, but nothing is ever intentional. We have always had shortages of officials and its 100 percent due to parents and coaches totaling bashing us for the 3 hours they have on the field. Some of TASO officials work 4-5 nights a week to make sure we have some sort of coverage for your games. We spend time away from our families because we love the game and not necessarily for the money. Sometimes I wish that I could walk away from officiating, but guilt sets in when there are 2 teams, 1 driving 45 minutes away to get to a game, only to have no official show up do officiate the game. I have been the only official on the field for a 9th grade and even a JV game only to have coaches screaming at the top of their lungs, about a hold that I didn't see. Anyways, if we had more of the fan base, put on some stripes, and take on some of these games, you might get a better called game due to officials just not being overworked. Thanks for listening.

Thought Whitley had a good game too. I sometimes cringe when Abreu or Hader take the field

He is correct...... This entire "threat to democracy" is the biggest hoax. It plays to the weak minded, but is simply not true. No one is a trat to democracy. We have measures in place that prevent it. Honestly, I think the majority of folks realize it is political nonsense ,,,,,because if people truly believed it, Trump would not have gained support and won AGAIN......... -
I do agree with you that they will make Silsbee better in both football and basketball. Which is very scary with how good Silsbee already is in basketball.

Much more info than my post. Thanks

Well, in keeping with tradition of my not posting unless the stocks are up, voila…they’re doing great so far today. I hope everyone keeps their stocks and makes tons of money, since that’s what we’re all about. 😂

Astros pitching is pulling it's weight. 3rd best team ERA in American League (3.46). Top 5 in save opportunities and WHIP. Top 3 in strikeouts. Houston's team batting is currently middle of the pack in AL with team batting average at .226. Hitting is getting better over the last 10 games bringing that average up from .204. If the Astros can continue to pitch this well and the hitting continues to improve, then I can see Houston atop the division by the All Star break.

Hunter Brown pitches a 2 hit shutout and stretches his scoreless innings to 24. Thought that was worth mentioning. Astros get back to .500 and 2 games back. Dezenzo had a good outing and may have swayed being sent back down.

In 2013, the Committee to Protect Journalists released a report titled “The Obama Administration and the Press,” which began with this paragraph: “U.S. President Barack Obama came into office pledging open government, but he has fallen short of his promise. Journalists and transparency advocates say the White House curbs routine disclosure of information and deploys its own media to evade scrutiny by the press. Aggressive prosecution of leakers of classified information and broad electronic surveillance programs deter government sources from speaking to journalists.” I've got a whole lot more where that came from. The liberal New York Times stated: “Over the past eight years, the (Obama) administration has prosecuted nine cases involving whistle-blowers and leakers, compared with only three by all previous administrations combined. It has repeatedly used the Espionage Act, a relic of World War I-era red-baiting, not to prosecute spies but to go after government officials who talked to journalists.” Politicians are scum - both sides. "Your guy" ain't no better than the other guy...

Unfortunate for my horns. with what they have coming back and coming up, I felt like they were a favorite to repeat as district champs. If the Bryants transfer in that changes a lot.

I went to the WW vs Columbus game. I'm not sure where you are getting they played them tough. It was a complete blow out. At one time the Franklin vs Columbus game was 42-35 in the 3rd. 1. Columbus 2. Franklin 3. Hitchcock 4. Yoakum 5 WW

This is good advice. Not not just for cops, but anyone who writes. Writers should always say what they’re saying in the simplest, most direct way. Avoid jargon, filler words, etc. “It should be noted” is a great example. I also love “detained in handcuffs” when “I handcuffed him” would be more direct. I think people — Even experts — are afraid to write simply, as if that would betray a lack of expertise or professionalism. The truth is the opposite. A straight line is the shortest distance between two points, and a good sentence is the shortest distance to an idea. I enjoyed your write up.

I was perusing the news on Breitbart and The Gateway Pundit and I came across where they said that the Pope has died. But, according to what you say about these two being fake news I can only presume that the Pope didn't die and is actually still alive. What say you? [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]

Stock Market Losses Under Trump
Separation Scientist replied to HuntersLaptop2028's topic in Political Forum
The younger people who are contributing into a 401K or similar are getting a MUCH better bang for their buck right now vs. the greatly overpriced market they were buying into a year or so ago. People don't understand stocks are "on sale" now instead of being "overpriced". My best investing ever happened during the Covid crash. I made a ton of money then. - Yesterday

So what happened when greater losses happened under Biden during almost the whole year of 2022? Were people happy at Fidelity then? Did you post in 2022 that people were cussing out Fidelity then? -
