You're right coach, the right thing shouldn't be difficult to do and following the rules is the right thing to do. However, the reaction in this very thread shows why it is the difficult thing to do. Coach Terrell, who honestly filled out the former school version of Demas' PAPF by checking yes on not just one, but potentially 3 of the 6 questions that coaches who fill out the form are required to answer. For that, he is called a "crybaby" and accused of keeping an athlete from playing because that athlete didn't want to play for him. He gets dragged to Austin as he is preparing his team for the 2019 season. It is easy to see why many coaches simply look the other way, as it is, to many, not worth the trouble. Remember this, of the 13 people that heard Demond Demas' case (7 at the DEC level, 6 at the SEC level), including 6 that would never be across the field from him had he be cleared to play at Tomball, 12 of them agreed with Terrell. coach bear is right, it is not about vindictiveness, it is about doing the right thing.

It was kind of a sarcastic comment because there was a whole thread about it a few weeks back. I was kinda poking at that thread. I agree with you that is was small on the bottom. I actually operated the scoreboard at the scrimmage. It was easy to work. The rep from the scoreboard company was there and there is a way to use the big screen for time and score also. Will see how they proceed.

Absolutely...and to be honest, if it was truly just about getting a better education and improving his environment then football isn't even needed whatsoever. So having to sit the year out won't mess up the chances of that ^.

From what I heard about the scrimmage, and from what I hear from some of the guys here at work, United practices differently, the players seem more engaged, and they look like a completely different football team. United may surprise some people this year! I wish Silsbee was playing them in football. I know we will play United in basketball.

I would like to honestly know the percentage of athletes that transfer for Academic reasons. Bet it’s less than 10%.

Nice facilities there, stable environment, I'm surprised they don't get more students transferring there.

Channelview 8.sterling My prediction, just feel that Laporte with the coaching change , especially a defensive minded head coach, will do well , tough kids are still there, talented kids there also and a small hometown feel with support. A special place in my heart for them since this was my last place to coach two years ago before retirement. Putting Deer 4th in hopes of helping Brook. So my prediction is done with my heart and not my head. I’m just glad I’m not putting money on it.

Just read a letter on an Aggie website from the mom of the quarterback at Tomball blasting the UIL. The young man in question lives in that house and seems to have been living there a while. Everyone is blasting the forest brook coach who to me is the courageous one. Like I said earlier, HISD is fed up with their good players leaving for the burbs. Tomball s district schools voted 6-1 to NOT let him play, what do they know, probably the same that the Forest Brook coach knows. There are so many questions in this case, it is an easy decision for UIL to UPHOLD what Tomball s district already decided. Sorry, but RULES are RULES and in today’s society everyone is looking for a loophole. I love all Texas pro, college and high school teams, but rules must be followed.

It would be nice if they balanced the 3 schools and played each other. I figure that would help travel cost as well since all of your sports would have 2 of their opponents across town. The way it is right now with all 3 in different districts is not ideal in my mind. Would make some nice, healthy competition along with some natural rivals. All of those are fun things when your in high school. Maybe that is just a pipe dream though. Lee is smaller in size than Sterling and GCM so maybe the best we can hope for is Sterling and GCM to be the same size and Lee to be the smaller school. We shall see.... It would be interesting to see a district with GCCISD, Barber's Hill, Dayton, and Crosby all playing each other one day, but first things first is GCCISD has to all be in one district.

Maybe they get lucky and get grouped with the Pasadena schools next year.

I wouldn't go there the scoreboard info was so small I couldn't hardly make out what everything was, I didn't have my glasses on so that is why it prob looked so small. lol I figured by the way you pumped it up like it was some kind of huge scoreboard like whats up in Texas Stadium lol :-)

He is... we tried to book Joe Buck and Aikman but they declined to see physical speed and atmosphere at y’alls game. Best of luck
