Stangs 42-0 Watched the LCM/Woodville film, don't see LCM stopping the run game. Only player on offense that shined was QB for LCM, he will be running for his life. This WOS team has some really good chemistry.2 points

LCM VS WOS

LCM has gotten much better. Defense played well vs Woodville. Offense left a few TDs on the field. But this is not Woodville. We def have to step it up if we want to compete against WOS2 points -

I believe WOS is much improved this year especially at the QB position. The most impressive thing I saw from them was their heart. For the dogs I believe they will continue to get better as the season goes on. Staying healthy is always been key for Nederland. If QB play and tackling improves I think the dogs can have a real good year. Their running game was good and will get better. I feel like they were getting a little over 5 yards a carry against a pretty good defense. Hopefully WOS is on the schedule next year!2 points -
Conditioning is done or not done at any level, 6A to Six Man. I didn’t see the game, but reading the thread, sounds like another part of the game Silsbee needs to work on. Not sure why some seem so sensitive about it. Anyone who watched the North Shore vs Katy game will recognize that North Shore wasn’t in as good of shape as Katy. If (when) they meet again in the playoffs, Katy will face a completely different team. And Silsbee will be much improved as the year progresses.2 points

Newton vs Silsbee Who you got?
BADSANTA reacted to BMTSoulja1 for a topic
I know about Silsbee's run blocking scheme, but theyll have to do something different to keep the Newton DL Sylvester from getting penetration on the slower developing stretch plays. If this can be done and Silsbee runs the ball well, I can see Silsbee pulling this off. I plan on making this game.1 point -

Verlander's record this season would have been even better had there been any run support in select games. It's pretty impressive to have two potential Cy Young contenders.1 point -

You might want to check into Shadow Creek. They're the reason Manvel, Pearland, and Dawson came back to the pack as football programs. Shadow Creek is beasty.1 point -

Here are some 2018 Daks stats that matter: yards: 3885 (15th) TDs: 22 (16th) completion %: 67.7 (10th) yards per completion: 7.4 (19th) sacks taken: 56 (2nd most) ints: 7 (7th least among starters) Yards per game: 242.8 (21st) fumbles: 12 (3rd most amongst qbs) qbr: 56.2 (18th) Overall rating: 96.9 (14th) But this guy just turned down $30M a year, which would’ve tied him for the 5th highest qb in the league, because he thinks he should be the highest paid qb in nfl history? He has been a solid player for the boys, but I’d rather see him cut that get paid that much.1 point

Well we didn’t slide anyone under the bench. Matter of fact we only had one unsportsmanlike conduct for a boneheaded late hit on their QB in the 3rd. Coach Louis chose to set the tone by getting the ball first, taking it to them and never looking back...1 point -

There's been a few games this season where he was close. I think that sealed up his cy young award. He also passed 250 Ks on the season. It would have been a perfect game if not for a walk to... Cavin Biggio.1 point -

It's the negativity factor. You only notice when projects run behind, you do not notice when things go right on time. Kind of like you only remember the bad calls referees or umpires make not all the good ones they make.1 point -

I will haft to say I love playing PNG. And last night I believe both teams was surprised on how well both teams played. Both need a little working done but just seeing them play the first game I" going to predict you just wacth to district Champs from two different classes play a great season opener.1 point

That slant route was a great play call because it was a play action using their best running play formation, then throwing to the opposite side into the slot and it nearly worked, but #40 from WO-S deflected the ball. I'm sure you'll see that one break a few big plays for Ned in future games. In last year's game, both Ned and WO-S looked like average teams IMO. Much improvement for both teams at the starting point this time around. That was a playoff-like quality game.1 point

Coach t... Not gonna face a better team for a while. If we quit shooting ourselves in the foot, and we're gonna be pretty dang good.1 point -
I noticed that too. And Allen has long been a “transfer Mecca” for football. And if we’re honest, they are only picking up where the Odessa Permian teams of the 80s and 90s left off. Sure those teams were tough, but if you think all that talent was homegrown among the tumbleweed... During the hay day of Big Oil, many a lucrative job existed in West Texas for parents of talented gridiron stars. And all of that makes the recent titles for Silsbee and Memorial even more an accomplishment. Because as someone said earlier, each might occasionally get a transfer, but nothing compared to the “big city” schools they compete with deep in the playoffs.1 point

We smile when we ask kids in High School what their plans are afterwards. Many haven’t a clue. On the flip side, many old folks retiring haven’t plans, except not going to work, and getting up when we want to. But I saw a post on FB recently that this old fellow had his plans, and I thought they were worth repeating here, for you future retirees. I’ve often been asked, “What do you old folks do now that you’re retired”? Well....I’m fortunate to have a Chemical Engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy the most is converting beer, wine, and vodka into urine. I do it everyday and I enjoy it.1 point
