  1. Darwin played great when his name was called this weekend. Roney Elam had the best game of his career with A&M and is finally going to be a starter for a full season. So, I see him having a big year. The Foster brothers had good games with McNeese this weekend as well. It is exciting watching and hearing about all the Newton boys doing well.

  8. The kid was 3rd team All State last year! We are glad to have him back.

  9. Newton's D will be rude to the Tigers backfield. The run and pass game of Newton will be hard for Silsbee to stop. I wouldn't be surprised if Newton bust this game wide open leaving no doubt. Not saying they will but just in case don't be surprised.

    LCM VS WOS

4 fumbles the 1st week. But I think there was only 2 drops out of 13 attempts. Chain gang doesn't have that problem. Defense should pitch a shutout.

  22. They tend to forget that whippin Hines gave em and KJ shutting down McZeal to the tune of zero catches, I can't blame em, I'd be embarrassed too.

  23. to be honest it has been a long time since The Tigers have stopped PNG. I know yall made it to the state finals last year but that doesn't mean a thing when you facing a school with bigger numbers on a hot humid Friday night. Silsbees guys were cramping right and left, im sure because they were going both ways. the tigers have some talent should be fine.

  24. i think this game will be a lot closer then some people think.. ima go newton by a touchdown
    1 point
  25. I forgot cramping was the excuse for losing, my bad.
    1 point
  26. Absolutely. What I am saying is, Newton will have about the same depth as silsbee. PNG has how many kids playing both way? Probably not many IF any. Silsbee and Newton will be about even in that aspect of things. Should be a good game

  31. By the time week 2 and week 3 are over with, more people will believe that this is a different United team. If we can’t get a decent 6A school to replace St. Pius, we’ll probably try to get PN-G and keep Nederland and Memorial.

  37. Contrary to popular belief we ball versus NS normally win or lose, we need them back on the schedule next realignment.
    1 point
  38. Trust me, we're all familiar with NS. Central was in the same district with them many moons ago. Memorial is very familiar with them. And of course WB is as well. We know what they have. Yea, you dont have to play them, but in 5a, I want to say the two Marshals (Fort Bend Buffs and Marshall Mavs) are like the North Shores of 5a...

    2019 Houston Astros

Ryan is tied with Bob Feller for the most one-hitters, with 12. He also pitched 18 two-hitters. But he never pitched a perfect game, nor did he ever win a Cy Young Award. I was there for one of his 2 hitters back in the 80s. But the thing I remember most about Nolan was the strikeouts. We made K signs and hung them over the 1st row railing every time he got a K. And now that I think of it, I haven't seen that done in a long time.
