Darwin played great when his name was called this weekend. Roney Elam had the best game of his career with A&M and is finally going to be a starter for a full season. So, I see him having a big year. The Foster brothers had good games with McNeese this weekend as well. It is exciting watching and hearing about all the Newton boys doing well.

This will be a great game. I do not think Newton will win easily like most expect. Silsbee will have a lot more depth than Newton this year and has a great backfield that will see the endzone quite a few times. Though, I think Newton will outscore Silsbee to find the win. Win or lose, Newton will be a better team from playing a solid and fast Silsbee team.

He will get his 1st win this week because he has in trusted the most important aspect of this team to the right assistant coach...

Yes y’all do, which I believe will be a great test for Nederland and could be a big deciding factor on what they do on offense. Can the bulldogs O line block and open holes in the inside against United... like I stated earlier. We have one great experienced player Ngyugen on the o line right now. Was all district last year and etc.. can the other 4 rise up and gel as a unit. That’s the key. United is bigger and faster then last year while we got younger and inexperienced in that department

Watched this game.and boy am I impressed with the team speed of TCU. Patterson has some burners. I didn't get to see Darwins TD, the time ran out on my recording. Blasted thing. I did get to see a replay of it. I'm sure proud of this young man. He has a great future ahead of him. Also I noticed that TCU has some doggone good Freshmen. That cornerback that played for an injured guy looked stout.

Coaches did him no favors with the play calling. The kid will be alright once he stops staring down 1 receiver. The d played way better in the second half. 1 positive to take away is we had no unsportsmanlike penalties.
