Win or lose, LCM's tough preseason schedule will help them through district play.

WOS is a Great team. Every year. I give them the respect they deserve. Newton is a great team as well. I can't confidently say who I think is going to win this game. But I'm a Newton fan and am pulling for them. But the scoreboard is really all that matters

I have absolutely nothing to say negatively about WOS. They are one of the best programs in Texas as is Newton. I look for a great hard fought game and I expect it. Not likely a blowout in either way. But anything can happen with a momentum shift and a few mistakes. Both of these teams k8nda mirror each other with great athletes, great coaching and great fan base. Looking forward to a great game. Go Eagles!!!!

WB is of course the favorite going into the game but if Deer Park or Channelview don't get in (which I don't think they will) BU could have a longer playoff run then the Bruins this year. It would be nice though having both Beaumont schools as the D2 representatives...

I'm looking for a close game this week. Newton almost got beat by Silsbee until they pulled away in the second quarter plus they gave up 21 points. If Newton wants to win this game they better improve on defending the touchdown.

LCM has the potential to have one of their better seasons. Play calling has to improve and be a little more aggressive.

UPDATE: Update on injured Kirbyville football player. According to an administrator the player was diagnosed with spinal cord shock. No vertebrae damage or significant spinal cord damage, he has regained sensation in his extremities but has not regained full motor control yet.

That's the visiting team's band section. A little research beforehand would serve you well. The coonasses behind me were complaining about the same thing. I straightened them out and they were very cordial afterwards. We actually hit it off really well and had a great time talking trash to each other.

You have some valid points in your paragraph that are note worthy. Dj played football in the WOS system and has had and still may have family members who have playing. He knows what he is talking about. Your team is very good and has had a lot of success in their division, I support them 100% except when we play each other. I'll take WOS we are not the same team as last year, Defense is much better, OL is very very good it should be a good one.

You may be right. I was looking for that one player that can't be checked. Looks like this 2019 Bulldog version is the RB. So there is talent. Just gotta fix the defense. O-line play I wouldn't say it is yall problem. Hard to gauge. United's D-Line might be the best line you'll face all year.

How can you tell someone who played the game at Newton was raised in Newton and been part of the Newton tradition that they don’t know. Nawl what it is you all don’t know. It's great that they play each other.the only point that I was making is w.o is the only team that has something different that makes it hard for newton on defense and offense. If our kids just hold on to the ball and continue to slow down with the drops .this will be a 4th qtr game.

I know he completed a total of 5 passes last week with a loaded box for about 100 total yds and one pass was over 75 yds, so that leaves about 25 yds passing for the rest of all the offensive plays.

Most of what I was going to say was already said. But the thing that bothered me the most is the HORRIBLE tackling and HORRIBLE interior blocking. Newton exploited these Silsbee deficiencies all night long. These are the main things that need to be fixed ASAP if Silsbee are going to do what they are trying to do. There were some better playcalling that could've been done, but seems that it would've been an uphill battle anyway because Newton is just that good. And I can say it with my chest out. I was wrong. The loss of the 3 d-1 players appears to not have slowed this team down. Low on numbers (I counted 28 kids on the team), but they get after it, ESPECIALLY in defense. If they stay healthy, no doubt they make it back to the 'ship. Coach Smith and staff made a believer out of me since he's been in Silsbee and I won't doubt him and his staff now. Silsbee will get it together in these next couple of upcoming games. P.S. Silsbee quarterbacking was NOT the issue tonight, contrary to 'popular' belief...

Yep and the exact same excuses from Coldspring fans for four years. I agree Coldspring was bigger, faster and more Talent. That wasn’t all on the coaches. If you go in at halftime with a two touchdown lead and can’t keep it, then your team didn’t want it as bad. What I seen is Coldspring got tired and was a totally different team in the second half.
