A lot of friends and family have been flooded again some not even finished with Harvey repairs. Also a young man lost his life in the Fannett area today pray for his family. Not a good two days for SETX.

Hey JDawg I like how Lumberton rescheduled a game to play evadale but avoided to play y’all.

This morning, multiple barges became unmoored and struck the I-10 overpass, damaging two pillars. I-10 at the San Jacinto River (both directions) is closed........INDEFINITELY!!!! It won't affect too many games this week because of scheduled open dates and Tropical Storm Imelda. However, folks from West Brook, United and Port Arthur Memorial will want to consider this when traveling to district away games and folks who travel to the Houston area for the playoffs might want to also keep this in mind.

What do you mean borrow? Heck, they can have an iPad. Us Indians are resourceful & PNG has plenty to spare!!!😅lol

No team is running from competition. Or scared to play in the rain. It's not the field conditions that dictated the cancellation of the GAME. Destiny/fate was put into place way before this was ever a storm. After walking through flood waters tonight to rescue my 70+ year old parents. This all seems so irrelevant. Hug your children. Count your blessings. Enjoy the moments. Live on to fight another day. Tomorrow has to be a better day.

After WOS coaching staff carefully reread all of 14.2's post the school board thought it would be better to cancel game and save the embarrassment of getting beat down on a wet field.

In view of the fact that most ot the pickem games have been cancelled and some more probably will be. We will skip this week on the Pick' ems. Sorry folks! And Imelda thank you for screwing up this weekend.......B&*4H!!!!

Don't take it so serious folks...this is just a couple programs who want to and are able to play. It doesn't matter...At least they are fortunate enough to have kids/parents/students who can make it to the game. Let them play. Some local areas are still underwater with players/coaches who've been flooded out, again.

Well, guys. It is not picking on a small school. Concordia was scheduled to play in Lumberton tonight. Coach Babin spoke to Coach Lindquist at Concordia and was assured that Concordia was coming. Then early this afternoon, he was told that Concordia would not be able to make the game tonight. As conditions in Lumberton are a lot better than a lot of areas, Coach Babin wanted to try and get a game played, especially considering that Lumberton had lost one game (WHICH.......ONCE AGAIN.....WAS A MUTUAL DECISION BY COACH BABIN AND COACH BARBAY AT JASPER TO CANCEL THAT GAME!!!). His first choice was an opponent that already who had a cancellation but that team had already picked up another game for tomorrow. His mind clicked to Evadale as they had also previously lost a game due to cancellation (last week as O'Connell cancelled on them). He then called Coach Williams at Evadale who was of the same mindset.....his kids just wanted to play some ball. That is how this game came to be. So this crap of Lumberton trying to "back out" of one game to get a smaller opponent has nothing to do with this. BTW, if you can't make the game, SETXsports.com will carry it.

That's the defense they ran against Vidor in that playoff game at Lamar University where the Pirates rushed for over 400 yards against them.

Vidor really needs some long, sustain drives with points. Without those, it’ll be a long night. Problem is, the Cougars have played two good teams, so it’s hard to get a read on them. .

I’m not gonna say I’m surprised with United 180 change. I just knew it was going to be kind of be difficult the first year for the kids from different parts of town coming together to gel... and the crazy part is some of the best athletes at United aren’t even playing but I’m pretty sure they’re noticing and may be more willing to join the team now that it’s becoming appealing. Going to the small schools I have been impressed with what Evadale has been doing through the air, The QB has several good receivers and that line has been protecting him to get the passes off. After last year everyone thought because of their running back putting up over 2,300 yards of rushing office that would be the office this year. Well he is putting up large numbers but the passing game has also been putting up the yards. They are looking well early in the season in the air and on the ground. Of course it helps having a line the size they have also. As the season gets moving we will see if they can keep it consistent, if they do I feel its going to be a long season for them. Great job Rebels......

So let me get this straight, in comparing two teams the head to head record really doesn't matter, correct? I would have to say that if one team beats the other 9 out of 12 times they are the better program.

Well, in addition to that, we're also suppose to be getting Jakobi Holland back in a few weeks. So, he will definitely help in making the offense better before the playoffs. That being said, this years defense is definitely lacking something that made them much better, last year.

Mond and the offense need all of the practice they can get
