Quite frankly, Jasper, Silsbee and WO-S should be more concerned about last night's result than Newton.

I think this is worse than the L Vidor gave em at LU.

No shame for Newton losing to Gilmer. Watched KTRE Red Zone and Newton talked about the size and how Gilmer speed the game up to keep Newton off balanced. They didn't use it as an excuse, but it's a big ask when your kids are going both ways while the other team can rotate fresh guys in at anytime. Gilmer suits up 47 and plays a bunch of them. I would bet when Newton played Silsbee or WOS the number of players were similar or close. The streak was bound to end. Better on the road than in Arlington. I take 15-1 hoisting a trophy versus 15-1 and losing my last game of the season. Newton will be fine. As for Jasper, Silsbee and WOS, the playoffs ought to be fun.

It wasn’t terrible, my complaint was the whole first half the audio on their end was too low. I guess when you are used to Gary and crew broadcasting, thats just a high bar to have to jump over. Lol. Best overall record and in the case of a tie, best head to head record but since they didn't play the Dodgers this season it goes to the best division record (which the Astros own). Gilmer is a good team too, lets not ignore that fact

I haven’t seen Vidor or Crosby this year, so I’m not going to comment on whether they are better or not than any other year. I will say that the 2012 Vidor team that beat Crosby was pretty dang good. And the 2016 Vidor team that beat Port Arthur and took a much better version of Crosby down to the wire was solid. So it’s not that controversial to say this Vidor team is worse than those Vidor teams. If Crosby is not good (and we’ll have to see about that — it’s a long season) then this Vidor team still has plenty to prove to match up with 2012 and 2016. Things look pretty good so far. Hopefully PNG will be a loss, but i’m rooting for them otherwise . Great win, Pirates!
