I may open this back up a little later. But it seems that we are at a point in this thread where things are getting taken just a bit too personally.

So the lesson taught last night was integrity and morals account for very little in the times we live in now. Michael Jackson said it best "CHANGE" starts with the Man in the mirror. Curious if he can look at himself in the mirror this morning. A true champion dont tuck theirs tails and take a whipping to live another day to face a lesser challenge then chest bump each other and be proud. The last one was 32 yard. The first one was 38 yards and the second one was around 35 I believe. The last 3 LU games I have been to a fan has been pulled from the stands for a prize giveaway and made a 30 yard FG. I think we might want to re-think kicking FGs or possibly re-think who kicks them.

Not that I love Babin or anything...but I'm really glad somebody is defending coaches on here. It doesn't happen enough.

I went to school with 3 of them and played for Babin, the only one not worth a crap is you for posting something like that. All of them are knowledgeable and passionate about the game and the kids. Lumberton is lacking in talent not coaching. So why don’t you tell the whole story and let everyone know that we lost both our options at qb tonight due to injury, both of those happen to be our better runners as well. False starts aren’t really helping us either. But yeah, “crappy coaching” is our problem. Whatever dude. Heres some numbers for you and you tell me how these piece of craps are doing: 5 years prior to Babin taking over: 9-41, no playoff appearances. Since Babin, 25-24 with three playoffs trips, plus one this year. One of those in 5A. This piece of crap coaching staff is getting more kids involved in football than in the past several years in Lumberton, and we are no longer a pushover like we have been in the past. But when people like you set your expectations so high in Lumberton that’s when a good coach who is improving the program gets run off, and then we end up be irrelevant until the next decent coach decides to take over. Which may be never again at this point.

BH band did bring it last night, but fans on both sides just seemed out of it. I guess because neither could stop the other, and there really wasn’t any big plays. I think our longest play was 30 yards not sure on the PNG side. We have a group that try to get our fans fired up, but overall BH needs to get off your butts and yell for this team!! PNG band always is good!

Yea, Jasper has a scrappy bunch that plays good defense and they have like 3 guards that can get to the cup any time they want. Its just they have no real length down low. Once United figures out that they'll have many opportunities for them to shoot and they should actually TAKE the shots, SheWolves will be fine. Also, our bigs need to work on their shooting touch on the block. Memorial has a couple of guards that can play. Nice handles. Actually, there's a nice looking big on JV that should be on varsity, IMO... Didn't really see anything out of the ordinary from West Brook...

I’m sure the coaching staff spent all last weekend and week away from their families coming up with a game plan to lose the game. WRONG. I spent the last 2 years as apart of this coaching staff and I can tell you that the guys on that staff are some of the best men and coaches your kids could be around. From what I’m seeing, the team had an off night and that happens. Seems like more people are mad that WB has the chance to be successful in the playoffs again. I’m not from Beaumont but WB is my school now and good luck to my boys and this coaching staff. Hope I get to a playoff game. BGOE

Congrats Barbers Hill! What I’ve noticed for the past two months of working in Mont Belvieu is its an awesome community who gives a ton of support to the schools, athletics, and any other extracurricular activity. Couple that with one of the better coaches in the state and over time this is what you get. Y’all are on the rise, keep it up!

Boast (sp) looked good in the 1st half. BH had opportunities in the 1st half to stop the PNG O , but just couldn’t do it. PNG receivers catching everything. Good game plan for the Indians. BH O pretty much drove the ball pretty effectively, but the BH D came to life right before half so hope that continues. Good game so far and the Indians have scored the most points against us so far in district.

I had the opportunity to be sitting beside Coach Foster at the regional tournament a couple of years ago watching a couple of 4A powerhouses warm up. I asked him how it would be to have that kinda talent jog on the floor the first day of practice. With out hesitation he said, it would all depend on what kinda attitude they brought with them. Told me all I needed to know. The small school guys don’t get enough credit, especially the ones who do it year after year.
