Yet, the Coogs are going to drop 42 on Huntsville. The most points Huntsville has given up all year is 29 and they have played 6 playoff teams. Most likely, the Huntsville DL will be living in the Crosby backfield and Code Red will be looking to make a Code Blue. Huntsville wins this one.

Newton is doing their best to stay on top. The talent is still there. But coaching style has changed. It’s obvious. New Diana read those plays like they where calling them. Coaches have to be able to recognize that and make adjustments. They are going back to that 2015 season. Neece is truly missed. TW has got to do better if they expect to repeat.

I am the statistician for WOS I have many seasons of stats archived. The program I use does all this. This is what I send to the coaches after every game. Since this was 2014 and not relevant I shared this. Keeps season stats and trends also. No way I share current season stats like this to the public.

Pretty sure not one single 4 seed from a 4 or 5 team district won or at least not a 0-10 1-9 team. That's my argument. Want to send 4 teams, then don't have 4 or 5 team districts.

I hope your right. The key to winning any game is not just how much you can score. You have got to limit your opponent. Defense has got to step up big time and get to that QB.

If he continues to do stuff like this and Silsbee start to win these games I'm sold. If he does this when United and PA PA Memorial comes to town, I'll go out on record and say this kid will start getting some big d-1 colleges start offering.

23 was MVP but I think the real mvp was setx HS girls basketball. What a championship game! Our girls played their hearts out and had a chance to win at the end. And it was good basketball at a high skill level! Congrats to Shabralyn Watson (19 points against BH) and Aaliyah Robinson for making all tournament team from Jasper. Both are Juniors. Thanks to Coach Sanders and Lumberton for putting together a great tip off tournament and hopefull we can all grow it and get even more top area teams in it We are excited for this next week. Home opener Tuesday vs WOS. then splendora tournament. As someone on here said after our scrimmage with United “Jasper is legit”.

This has been a thing for decades. I remember Cosch Stump holding it up after we won a bi-district playoff game and were heading back to the locker room. We had fun with it for a few minutes then moved on.

The ignorance of these posts are astounding to me. Especially the guy who said these coaches should be ashamed to take a paycheck when these coaches deal with so much more than your coaches. As for the community support, it takes money to travel and most of these parents don't work a 9-5. If Coach Surratt of Carthage coached in this environment I don't think he would excel. It's a different battle and headache altogether that only a few can deal with.

Have you ever been to Houston’s 5th Ward? Do you know how many hours those coaches put in and how much they love those kids to keep them off the street? Yes they live in a poverty stricken area and may not have the best coaches, the most amount of players or cheerleaders. But to say these people are negligent or need to be thrown in jail just makes you sound ignorant for multiple reasons. Oh and at least their negligent and incompetent band and drill team shows up to their games on time.

The fact that Kountze lost this game last year by 60 is a definite sign of improvement.

Diboll has outscored its opponents 465-42. Yoe's got their hands full, but I think this is gonna be one of the better games in the state this week.

Morton Ranch out rebounded Yates 52-33 but committed 33 turnovers to Yates 14. Yates also had 23 steals.

It was sad to watch them play this last game , always hate it for the seniors. Proud of them all and especially proud of my son. This was only second year to play football in high school. He started both years and ended his senior year with a great season. He wore the blue and gold with honor and respect and always left it on the field. Now to Basketball and baseball the sports he has played on varsity every year. The Rebels finished the season with class and respect. Great year Rebels you had to overcome one of the smallest teams in numbers and then fight through more injuries than anyone could keep up with. Again you did it with class and never laid down.

If they are in an economically challenged area, then maybe the school district can supply a fan bus for the parents and fans. The district can afford it. It would be if the fans amd parents want to go. All those athletes need support.

I’m not saying WH would’ve won this game, I’m saying going into it with two starting lineman out, then you lose another starting lineman/LB and your QB you never recover when you carry 24 on the roster which the 11 starters go both ways. WH didn’t have an answer to marts running game and Mart was struggling with WH passing game. It was a 4 point game until the second when we lost those two kids. People can say what they want about WH. The fact is there has been some really good athletes come through the school.

The Tree Restaurant Player of the Game is Silsbee RB Chris Martin. Martin had 172 yards on just 6 carries with 2 touchdowns (62 and 65). He also had 2 interceptions. Congrats Chris!!
