To win a state championship is impressive period.

players + coaches + strength of schedule = wins. players > coaches strength of schedule > players and coaches. Even bad coaches can win games with great players. Even bad coaches can win with an easy schedule. Good coaches will win when preparation/experience come into play with comparable talent. EVEN GOOD COACHES CAN NOT WIN (deep runs) WITHOUT GOOD PLAYERS I don't care what you say.. sometimes graduation is the difference between a state contender and struggling to make playoffs. Sometimes UIL cutoffs/alignments make the difference between winners and losers.

Why did Herman give the double rods to LHN? Bad joke? I'm guessing that is not how the BMDs at UT-A want the HC to represent the flagship university. Unless he beats OU, gets double digit wins, and secures a NY6 bowl game, I see Texas parting ways with him. Most of the Texas Exes that I know want to give Herman the double rods. As long as you have satisfied the 5-day requirement prior to the 26th, you may PRACTICE or PLAY a game or tournament game on December 26th because of the exception when the 26th falls on a Thursday, as it does this year. Additionally, there have been questions about the player ejection rule in section 1208(i)(5), below is an excerpt from 1208. PLAYER EJECTIONS (5)Player Ejection. Ejected player misses the remainder of game they were ejected from plus all of the following game. To clarify, once a player is ejected the player cannot play in the next contest and is considered an ineligible player. On most occasions you will receive notice from the UIL; in the event you do not receive notice from the UIL, the player is still required to sit out the next game (it is the responsibility of the coach to make sure the one game suspension is served). The ejection cannot be appealed or overturned by a game official, even if it is coming from the official who ejected the player. If you have questions about an ejection, call the UIL office, the official has no jurisdiction over UIL rules. Ejected players are considered to be ineligible. Playing an ineligible player, who has been ejected from a game, before they have served their 1-game suspension will result in forfeiture of that game and any subsequent games.

My experience was doing a live televised broadcast for KFDM Channel 6 (actually I believe it aired on their other channel) on a Saturday afternoon at Orange Community Christian. Me and Mike Freidman did the game sitting in the bed of a pick up truck with the KFDM production truck sitting next to us. Loads of fun!!

With Robinson signing today, there maybe some 4 and 5 stars that have an offer from Texas but haven’t committed or are leaning somewhere else that might follow him. It might be just what UT needs to get those other high ranking recruits they are after.

The LCM job would have AD tied to it... Right now the WB job is only Athletic coordinator, not AD. Big difference. But if this is true, he may just be tired of dealing with the headaches and want to be an assistant or a coordinator... There have been some that do it.

This is a big week for us as we head into Christmas break. At 1A #14 Chireno on Tuesday - I expect a tough environment - well coached and great shooting team then on Friday we host TAPPS 3A #5 Legacy Christian Then some time off for Christmas!! (and maybe a little Duck Hunting!)

Beat an unbeaten and very good Hudson team Tuesday night, then lose to Gary by 16 two days later.
