Well another year of high school football in the books. Congratulations to all the champions on a great year. Everybody else, hold your heads high. You put a lot of work and sweat into this season. In 9 months we start all over. You better not shout, you better not cry, cause Newton’s coming to town. LOL No I don’t know how good or bad them Eagles will be, only time will tell. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all SETX members. See y’all next year.

Look at it this way. I am friends with many coaches in the area. Love to watch the game and wish I would have coached but I like to make more money and not deal with idiot parents. The only thing that has changed in the last 6 years are the players,. Coaches are all the same. Maybe they are not the type of athletes that have come though WOS in the past. Even in most of your coaching careers as a jr.midget coach you know you put the ball when your suppose to! smh

Yeah just went to state 4 yrs in a row.40 game winning streak....need to change the way we coach??I'll agree I would have done a few things differently against Silsbee but I'm not the coach and this is still a young team learning.I think coach T did a hell of job getting us to the semi's.But hey that's just me.

A lot can happen between spring and August.. it seems to me that the extra week in August would be better because you have a truer picture of what you'll be working with. Just my opinion.

1.) This is recruiting.. it's recruiting without having to recruit. Yes, money plays a huge role. First class facilities brings them in and wealthy families provide the kids with everything needed. 2.) You are 100% going to get judged for this. Several years ago I made this same argument and was blasted on this site. Back when WOS couldn't get past Carthage and I brought up the difference between having a 100 yard indoor practice field and riding a school bus to the state championship game. For the most part, people (SETX) refuse to believe that "what my grandaddy had" isn't good enough anymore.
