Well Evadale is in a tough spot. If they can win out they have a chance to get in. Deweyville is a must win. Overtime game the first time, hope the Rebs can pull it off. Got to go with the Rebels at home. Who y'all got?3 points -

B.H. & P.N.G. will dominate in the district & when they play it will be a highly intense competitive series. Both have solid hitting & pitching returning, Nederland has hitters returning but has to find some pitching fast. Which ever team makes the least mistakes will come out as champs. Nederland better worry about holding off P.A., Vidor & Dayton for a playoff spot. Here are the legit batting averages from last year Grant- .349, Butler- .333, Holton- .307, Cunningham- .285, Chandler- .2203 points -

There have always been transfers for a variety of reasons. Parents got a new job, divorce, new home, etc.. and I have always liked to have seen it happen in junior high grades or down. I know it's not always like that, though. Life happens and nobody can do anything about it. But.. when several athletically gifted kids transfer to the same high school.. as high school kids. Well, that'll make you scratch your head. Disclaimer: I'm not suggesting or accusing anyone of anything. Just saying..1 point -

Silsbee is going to be fine. And I know you guys think the second coming of the class of 2019 on the way. But you either do or will realize how special that group was. You had 4 kids on that team that will play D1 basketball (I hear glowing reports on Tyler constantly on what he’s doing in juco in Kansas). On a 4A team. And McCain had the ability to be the best kid on the floor in every game he played from freshman year on (and was the best player in San Antonio in that State Championship game). And if you haven’t noticed, Adams, as a college freshman, is already drawing the attention of NBA folks. Yes, you heard me right. Maybe you will catch lightning in a bottle twice, just maybe. But that group was a once in a lifetime type class. It will be unfair to every class that comes through Silsbee for the rest of time to use that bunch as the measuring stick. Simply enjoy that you will almost always be one of the better teams in the area.1 point

Nobody ever doubted or said Ned isn't always Scrappy and we'll coached. Unless they have someone none us know about step up pitching wise, and fill the shoes of the leadership lost year, I'm picking BH and PNG ahead of Ned. Just my opinion, and he'll, I could be wrong.1 point

The WH coach retired from Georgetown High School a while back. He may be the best coach in the area for rebuilding programs. He knows how to schedule, discipline, and create expectations for the team he has. His full coaching record reflects that. He is from SE Texas and it is sad that because his greatest successes were out of the area, he is disrespected in his home area. He is teaching the game he loves to players and making them better. What is the “best” expected to do?1 point -

Great TEAM win tonight on senior night! Lady Hawks move to 26-8 on the season and 11-0 in district behind a career high 31 point game from Asia Wheeler. Delberta Guillory-Smith added 22 and Makenna Henry had 16. The girls shared the ball really well! Proud of our seniors, Kassi Hardy, Delberta Guillory Smith, Asia Wheeler and Imrie Collier!!! These girls have dealt with alot over 4 years! Floods, deaths, hurricanes etc! The score doesnt really reflect it, but kudos to coach DJ Wilson over at WOS. Changing a culture is a hard thing to do.... he has it going in the right direction.1 point -

Anybody who says Pat Abel's teams weren't fundamental or well coached is clueless. They were almost too disciplined and fundamental whereas Chris Smith lets them play with some freedom. Two different philosophies, but neither is wrong. Saying all of that to say this...huge win for the Indians!1 point

This pretty much says everything. A player doesn't leave Green or Boutte to play for another coach unless that player wasn't getting any playing time prior. Promises promises. I can certainly agree with a parent taking their child out of BISD and moving to HFISD for academic purposes.1 point
