In 2017 PN-G sports won more games than any other graduating class in our 95 year history. In 2018 every single sport at PNG High made the playoffs.

Well, as the 'happenings" that lead to that banishment are no longer here, I think we can reverse it. Sometimes, you have to be able to laugh at yourself.

Lumberton recently won their first ever playoff game in basketball. The school board reacted swiftly by firing the super. The community is well aware that winning starts at the top, so they wanted to nip "winning" in the bud.

Make no mistake, the Sanders crowd are not die hard Dems, they’re die hard Sanders. Dems will vote on anyone to beat Trump because they hate him. Sanders people love Sanders more than they hate Trump. In fact, they’ll probably hate Biden more than they hate Trump. Imo, they are a new species of political supporters.

One item of good news is that Life doesn't have much of a height advantage among the starters. Just the Johnson kid who's listed at 6-3. We'll lose the opening tip as usual but I don't see them dominating inside. Johnson did well against Connally and looks like the kind that doesn't easily get in foul trouble either, doesn't make many mistakes. In fact the whole team looks like a group that doesn't make too many mistakes.

Hard to compare, but I know Nederland consistently does well in all sports; football, baseball, basketball, softball, soccer, track, cross country, golf and tennis.

Ball has a new coach thats coming from Katy or North Shore, can't remember. Friendswood reminds me of Nederland, not flashy and the bad years they can go 6-4. Laporte gonna be that grind it out team and win close or lose close. no disrespect, but Lee is the baytown school i think will be the best. last i saw looks like every year they improve. United gonna disappoint imo. new coach have to get his system in...losing key guys etc... PAM- not saying we gonna win district, BUT if the QB has physically grown and let the JUNIOR #28 run ball and NOT Cheney(except in short yardage and when the defense is winded) coaching will hold us back from making any kind of a deep run. i see PAM finishing anywhere in the top 3, but realistically top 2. depends on which united team show up for the season. crazy, but united actually dictates where everyone will fall.

I agree with this 100%. Silsbee took an absolute great player and a very good one and rode them into the regional tournament this season. You gotta tip your cap to that. I felt like last years club underperformed and this years overperformed. The region is definitely down this year.

True. Have to get the community back into having a competitive athletic program instead of just trying to be good at a one or two sports. We see that a lot of smaller schools can do this well but somehow has been lost as you move up classifications. It goes both ways too. Football coaches/parents should encourage athletes to play other sports like basketball/baseball and/or track instead of just training year round for one sport. The competitive mindset is a hell of a tool in athletics.

Did you read the article? A lot of Dems are fed up with their ideals, then some Dims, as yourself, vote Dem because that's what your parents and grandparents did.

Lets hope so. The way HS sports is now most kids want to play ball no matter what sport they're playing. The more kids a school signs, chances of more players coming out increases. Look at BC for example, labeled a baseball school because so many kids just play baseball because they have a chance of playing at the next level. I'd be willing to bet if BC got all of the baseball kids on the football field they would be better. Side note, Johnny Dishon and younger brother both played football at BC, 1 went to LSU and the other to Ole Miss for baseball. BRING BACK THE MULTI SPORT ATHLETE AND ATHLETICS WILL BECOME BETTER.
