‘84-‘85 Tigers. I’ll take that pound for pound and raise you. Was #1 most of the season lost to Lincoln at home. We dropped to #3 and Lincoln took over the #1 spot. Then we repaid Lincoln by beating them at the Beehive and we regained the #1 spot. Lost to that Smith character and his team in the regional final by three points. Only lost two games all year.2 points -

I enjoyed watching (and listening lol) to him coach as well. I heard early in this season that it was likely he would not be retained as coach. Not saying the decision was made then but it sounded like he needed to have something special happen to retain his job. Basketball and WOS is a peculiar thing.1 point

31-1 Tigers would go toe fo toe with most teams on that list and might have been better than the state champ Tigers. Remember this is a Tigers team who beat Lincoln, Central, and West Brook by 15-20pts each. They were the only Tiger team I know who was ranked in USA Today!. This was a era of less high schools and 4A would be the current 5A for alot of schools.1 point -

It’s not a big deal. It’s an election year. The liberal press, left wing socialist radicals (you, for instance) and every other ra-tard pushing this vile crap are exploiting this to the point of ruining our economy in order to gather favor with younger uninformed voters and non-thinkers who are easily led by fantasy (you, for instance). Trump is throwing the proverbial dog a bone to calm the barking. Sometimes you gotta play the game. Read “Art of the Deal” Rover.1 point

Same with baseball, track, golf and other outdoor sports. That's too dangerous. But put all those kids in an enclosed space with adults who are more vulnerable to this particular virus because that makes perfect sense. Oh, and don't let those nasty parents bring outside food to kids at lunch because they might be sick. The people making these decisions get the bonehead of the century award. You can't have it both ways. Either go with the stupid idea that we are going to contain mother nature and prevent spread of a virus that many of us in setx already have anyway and just haven't been tested, or manage it with a controlled spread which doesn't overburden the health care system. But to contain, you can't put the kids and teachers in classrooms. And to control, it makes more sense to continue certain events and limit outside groups. Athletes at outdoor sporting events with only key personnel makes more sense than kids and teachers in the classroom if your true concern is public safety. But guess who doesn't get that state money if those kids aren't in the classroom?1 point -

Kinda funny how this works. 2 people 60 ft apart hitting a tennis ball back and forth is too dangerous, but piling 2000 kids into a school for 8 hours should be safe.1 point -

What happened to being Texans? Remember the Alamo! Remember Goliad! Now it’s “self isolate”, and elbow-bump. We cancel the Houston Rodeo? I’m ashamed; I expect this in California and New York. Sucks for all the seniors.1 point -
