1. This is why this is happening. You shamed the Cherokee Nation by getting your behind handed to you by Yogi Bear..

  2. Kinda hard to take any of that when you just dismissed Jewish people like 4 posts ago... Not an attack either, just saying if you want people to listen to you maybe don't dismiss other races and opinions. Jewish people may be one of the most oppressed races in the history of the world. My opinion, take it or leave it, just trying to help.

  4. Thank you! People My thoughts exactly, the Jewish community is indeed in fact the most oppressed community. Bad Santa, My grandfather and Grandmother both survived a concentration camp as kids during WW2 so you wanna talk about being enslaved.. and they both just passed about 12 and 7 years ago. The stories they will tell When they came to America they were beaten, denied jobs, because of religion just like how many other races are to this day. Heck just this week 2 known athletes one from this very area Stephen Jackson and Desean Jackson both used a major social platform to degrade the Jewish community.... Jewish Synagogues still to the day get shot at, attacked, graffiti all the time. Our very place in Beaumont roughly 5 years ago had been attacked...

  6. I truly appreciate your honest response. It is and has been frustrating for all parties. The initial response is to lash out and try to justify. It all starts with me. If I have said or done anything to offend you, I want to apologize and I ask for your forgiveness. It may not be much but if we pay it forward just maybe, just maybe we can effect change.

  8. In 2020, blacks are so IGNORANT of their own past and what was fought for on their own behalf that y’all are now advocating “separate but equal.” THIS^^^ It’s hard take you serious when you speak as if all black people are ignorant. STOP it. That alone is offensive. I am offended when I am lumped in with all bad law enforcement officers. Try a different approach or quit beating around the bush and just say that you have a problem with all people of color. I have much respect for anybody that speaks how they truly feel in the front and not behind ones back. (Flip flopping) I have a better understanding of who I am dealing with when the individual is up front. No love lost or feelings hurt. I may not like you and you may not like me but at the end of the day we will respect one another. I know all people of color are not hateful or evil. I work side by side among the finest men of valor and honor whom I would lay down my life for. I don’t care that there skin color is different than mine. I don’t live in southeast Texas and I won’t judge it based off what I have heard from this message board. I refuse to lump all of you in one category. It’s just wrong and there no place for it. I believe you had a bad experience growing up in PAT (sorry if I got wrong) and it must to have been rough and we may never know but your true feelings show.

  9. I’m a WO-S guy so this probably will be my only post on this thread as I don’t have a dog in this fight, but this is complete nonsense. I’ve seen many WOS-PNG games going back to the early 80s and I’ve seen PNG play in other games as well and nothing they do dishonors, discredits or demeans the American Indian. Political correctness will be the death of us all eventually. Why don’t we all just forget about mascots, traditions and team logos. I know some of you will disagree with me and say I’m ignorant or racist or whatever, well let me say I’m none of the above. Like I said this isn’t my fight but this is stupidity at its highest level. I’m calling it as it is and It is what it is. I hope PNG family stands firm. They have my support. I’m done, over and out.

  12. Texas!!! There were white, hispanic, and black people looting and studies showed 95% weren't even with the peaceful protesters. Understand for every good event, there will be people who come to tear down and destroy. I've seen arrest at the rodeo, Texans game, conventions etc... You can't judge the peaceful people by the ignorance of others who came to steal. I didnt agree with that either. It was dumb and I hope every single one is arrested.

  16. Truer words have not been spoken, my friend. And you guys are absolutely as capable-that's not even a question. Don't doubt that for a second. Anybody that argues that the black community is somehow "less" than anybody else by nature or race is a bigoted fool. I know of older people (now gone on) that literally believed that black people didn't have souls. Seriously. Like dogs. Not going to heaven. No souls. There are so many positive things that the black community collectively has. I'm envious of the amount of faith that I see in your community. The positive body image that black girls have over their white counterparts. The list goes on and on. There's no doubt that your community has so much potential that just needs to be focused... Face it. Life has gotten better for each generation in my family. My great grandparents were impoverished... they had hard lives. My Grandparents were what would be considered typical middle-class for the 40/50/60s... they still had to work hard. My parents' generation had it even easier... less manual labor and a solidly middle to upper middle class lifestyle. My generation all benefited from post-high school education and jobs that really don't demand much of us physically. Our quality of life is not bad at all. We're so blessed. Our kids grew up blessed. I kind of think we're hitting the ceiling for what can be accomplished, though. I'm kinda thinking that my kids and future generations are gonna have a harder time outdoing us based on societal changes... student debt, stagnant job market, etc. This is the first time in probably a hundred years that it's possible that our kids won't have it as good as we did. On the other hand, you guys have so much opportunity to better yourselves over the next few generations. Genuine changes that create a tide that will raise all of your boats. It just won't happen if the plan to move forward is to "tear it all down."

I don’t support either party but this is misleading. Democrats and republicans are just salesmen. They’ll represent anyone who will buy their representation. Campaign speeches are just sales pitches. They’re going to target the costumers who have been supporting as of late. The real labels are conservatives/liberals. In the 1800s the conservatives voted democratic because the democratic salesmen were pushing conservative policies. The liberals or people supported policies for slave abolishment and more government restrictions voted republican. Those “conservatives” were the southern confederate flag waving folk. The liberals were the union members from up North. You can pull up a map of it if you like.Near the mid 1940s Democrats began to push more “liberal” policies. Many southern conservatives noticed this and formed the “Dixiecrat” party. Most southern conservatives stayed loyal to the democrat party up until around 1964 when the civil rights act was signed by a democratic president. From that point up until now the republicans have been conservative and the democrats have been liberal. All the while pretty much working together to some extent

  20. Just because our ancestors fought for change so that we are able to live in better circumstances doesn’t mean they didn’t make some mistakes. In the case you bring up the little girl supposedly wanted to go to the white school because it was closer to home and more convenient. There were some blacks who just wanted to integrate because they felt the white schools were better. You have to keep in mind there was probably a spirit of inferiority in the black community because of slavery. In my opinion the spirit of inferiority has hindered our growth and progress as much as racism has. I don’t hate white people but I believe we are just as capable as they are if we get it together. We proved that with communities like Wilmington and Tulsa before those communities were destroyed.

  23. Lawman great question. You have to start with not looking at life as if all things are fair. There are many people of color who have been passed over, mistreated, done wrong by someone white and nothing is done. If you see wrong or injustice stop being silent. If you see someone being mistreated at work by a cop speak up. Understand there is a such thing as white privilege. Understand that a person of color is 80% higher to to be pulled over by the cops for no reason. When you hear people making racist comments or jokes, speak up against it. It's not that African Americans want something for free. We just want the playing field to be equal. We have to work 3x as hard as someone of the opposite color. Understand that all black people arent the same. The news will show the most ignorant person they can find. Seek information to understand what black people have been thru. Segregation is only like 60 years ago. Imagine your culture was enslaved, beat, rapped, and killed just to be seen as a HUMAN! You can start with your house hold by telling your kids that no matter the color or background, treat people with respect. Have you even been in a department store and been followed? Been to a car dealership and the 1st thing they wanna know is what you do? Stopped by an officer pulled out of your car and racially profiled. Being black is very difficult when you wake up every day and know the playing field are fair. It's like starting a football game in the 1st qtr before the kickoff being down 42-0. Befriend someone of the opposite color and understand their views.

  29. You’re a clown. As everybody here knows, I was born in raised in Port Arthur and I raised my kids in BC because it’s a great place for your kids to get an education. I don’t even live there anymore, and haven’t for years. Nice job on the assumptions, Genius. You’re right... we weren’t very diverse in Bridge City.... but if you (and all of your obvious intelligence) can point me towards a community that is 95% black that can compare to BC in regards to quality of life, academic success, property values, crime rates, etc.... I’ll move there myself. The mosquitos were bad in BC, and it’s not very scenic. And your illustration of the twitter posting just proves my point. The black community pretending to be upset by a word they all use every day. Trust me. You use that word to describe your own who haven’t applied themselves like you have. We all know it, lol.

  34. I'm sorry sir but you may have me mistaken with some show you are watching. Yes, I'm an African American who has 2 degrees, been a District Manager in Oil & Gas for 8 years before that DM with Enterprise Rent A Car for for 10 years. I'm married to a beautiful black woman who has a degree (academic scholarship from Texas A&M no loan paybacks). She has been a principal in Cy Fair for 11 years! I dont recall the N word being used in my home or me calling one of my fellow African Americans the N-word at all. See sir you are a stereotype. You live in a bubble called Bridge City which is less than 2% minority. I'm sure there are more people of color on my street than in the entire town you live in. Im far from ignorant and far from what you would call a (typical negro). I'm sure all you have been exposed to is what you have lived in that small town. Your ways of thinking have never changed. I have been in several conversations in my travels to Arizona and have meet many Native American. I have not met one who has said the term "Indian" isnt offensive. Its similar to call me the N-Word. I would challange you to read more or have a diverse group of friends outside of the ones you sit with in the losing section of Bridge City. Matter of fact Bridge City is one of the most racist towns in Texas. Didnt you guys just post some racist post about some WOS kids? Tell me Cardinalbacker, what time is the rally tonight? A town that is 95% white has no comments on what another should feel.

Nor cast any aspersions in my direction. Also, do not deflect attention away from the focus of my argument with your implied "racist" statements toward me. Your hatred & judgementalism speaks of your character. By the way, I will take that bet! I have a cross in my front yard with the word "HOPE" on it. Love that freedom of opinion. send those letters, express those beliefs, and after those senders are done with all of their correspondence, please remember that, in a free country, others have the rights to their beliefs too. God bless all those tribes that have the right to freedoms & beliefs, in this country. After all, disagreement on any subject, including mascot names, is part of the American Spirit. Gotta' love it!!!

  43. George Floyd's so called criminal past has nothing to do with how he was handled during his last interaction with law enforcement. No one should have a knee thrust in their neck for nearly 9 minutes while three other officers look on, no matter what he might have been accused of. It's alleged he had a counterfeit bill. The worst that should have happened is take the bill for evidence and write the man a ticket. Do you have any sympathy for your fellow man? Did your heart not break seeing injustice? A lot of people were stirred to righteous anger. We gotta a lot to fix in this country. Maybe momentum is on our side this time. BTW, Ty Cobb is a well known bigot in the baseball world. If there's a man who doesn't belong in Cooperstown for morality, it's him. Maybe you might want to switch your handle up before you get confused for him.

I hope he makes a lot of programs regret passing on him, including the one in Beaumont. If he was offered Lamar, I can't blame him for wanting to get away from home. Lake Charles is far enough away from Silsbee to force you to find new friends and grow out of your comfort zone. A talented kid that grows up in your backyard, you at least gotta ask, even if they're dead set on leaving home.

  47.
Forum is going slow so maybe this will pick things up. Who do you think is the best player to GRADUATE from a local private school in the past 10 years? Player that come to mind from Kelly: Edward Persia, Mason Moncla, Matt Pace, JB Brown, Taylor Mullenax, Torre Henry Don't know much about Legacy but i think i remember a pretty good player named Ford not to long ago?
It would help if three of the best players Kelly ever had were on this list. Ryan Zummo and Jude Messina are two of the top 4 scorers in Kelly history. Keenan Simon should also be on this list. He was a phenomenal athlete who earned a scholarship to LSU for track. The list of choices should look like this: Edward Persia, Taylor Mullenax, Ryan Zummo, Jude Messina, Keenan Simon, Blake Lognion. These are the best players Kelly has had in the last 10 years.
