Uh, folks. I am not saying that these post do not contain important issues, but many of them are starting to take a political bent. There is a thread down in the political forum for posts like this. I have even done you the courtesy of posting the link to that thread here:2 points -

You just quoted the democratic platform. Congratulations. I believe in the bill of rights and the Constitution. Protecting all law abiding citizen’s rights is of utmost importance. As an American, I can’t come up with anything more important. These little turd heads trample our rights in order to express themselves through violent rioting and looting, not to mention the occasional murder. Something is amiss when one can destroy property and people’s livelihoods, attack police, all under the cloak of free speech, expression, religion.....etc. Even freedom has its limitations and that it where I draw the line. Freedom to do anything or your rights have been infringed? BS and you know it.1 point

Actually, if one is involved in criminal activity, the only rights they have are Miranda. Noise is what I hear when people talk about criminal rights and totally ignore the law abiding citizen’s.1 point

All I have to say is TAPPS and if UIL follows the same better hope a hurricane/tropical storm doesn’t come and disrupt anything. We tend to get the major hurricanes in September/October...1 point -

I’m sorry if you thought I was being critical of you. It’s just silly to pay a teacher to educate your kids, except they “can’t” because of Covid, so parents are forced to HIRE the same teachers they’re already paying to come out and educate their kids. It’s like having a yard guy under contract, except he won’t come cut your grass, but there’s this whole thing of the contract so you’re stuck paying him, and now you’re stuck hiring a new lawn guy while you’re still paying the old one, except the new one shows up and it’s the first yard guy in the same truck using the same mower, but with a different name. And you pay him twice to mow your yard once. I cancelled my housekeeper for two months while we were doing stay at home. For starters, I didn’t want to break quarantine, and I also was sitting around the house anyways. I still paid her, though, because I was the one calling her off. Now, if she had told me that she wasn’t coming, but I still demanded that I her because of our agreement, we’d have had a problem. Even if she did offer to FaceTime me and tell me how to clean my toilets.1 point -
Biden - Sucking off the government tit for 47 years! 47 years of selling out the American People to foreign countries! Sounds like a wise choice! Just curious what has Trump done or not done for you to not vote for him again? Serious question.1 point

The NYC mayor announced that the city will be providing childcare for 100k NYC children this fall. It will use community centers and organizations, libraries and other space to set up care. The number could increase in the fall. It’s too dangerous for the TEACHERS to go back to school, so they’ll be opening these big childcare facilities (like schools) for the kids to attend while school is cancelled. You can’t make this insanity up. [Hidden Content]1 point -

No. I created and graded assignments. I was available for video conference at a set time every day. I was available via email 24/7. I do not have to back up to the pay window. I do my job and I do it well.1 point -
Well I hope each city will be allowed to do what they thinks best for their city. The science and data shows they need to be back in school. Take common sense measures, accommodate the vulnerable which is a small percentage an rip the band off so this country can get going again. This country can’t function in fear are it will crumble which is what some of these parasites want in this country!1 point

Way more kids died from the Flu this past season than the Covid-19, and way more adults have died from Covid-19 in the ages 65 and above and with underlying conditions for the most part. Now the vast (not all) amount of teachers are well under 65 years of age. So in my opinion we just need to open the schools and quit living in fear that some politicians and a lot of the media are shoving down our throats.1 point

What should really happen is give in to them. Let them have their own little space. How about an island paradise? It’s called Alcatraz.1 point

I consider myself a conservative, not so much a Republican. But Republicans are more in line with my principles. Believe me there are a lot of RINO’s and Republicans I’d like to get rid of. I don’t live on theories. Look at what the Mayor of New York has done to that city ( De Blasio). Crime, Financial Disaster, people leaving the state left and right. When Giuliani (Republican) was Mayor he cleaned that city up an made it one of the safest cities in the US with a rainy fund for emergencies.1 point
