I certainly don’t know whether the whole season will get played. Based on info available, I think kids are less likely to be affected than MLB players. I will address the, “let’s wait” suggestion. Wait for District? Wait for spring? I think it should be obvious that this thing isn’t going away for several years. Only about 5% of the population has had it, and that’s counting those asymtomatic cases based on a Stanford study. Heat doesn’t kill it. Cold doesn’t either. This is not a short term thing. It’s a long row to hoe. Only question is, do we remain in our homes for X amount of years, or let those most likely least affected go on with their lives. Channel 6 shows 49 deaths, and all but one had underlying issues. The healthy can beat it. Those like me, 75 and type 2 diabetes, should be very careful.

I get what ATTITUDE is saying. This year, the road to a successful season is there, but it is awfully narrow. Whether that road is successfully navigated will depend on how well players, coaches and staff members AND family members adhere to protocols that are in place. Hopefully, the notion that all have something to lose if they are not compliant will be enough. But I am not optimistic that it will as that is a lot of people to ask to tow the line. Personal responsibility is always a key. But this year, it is more important than ever!

I have no issue with profanity. I worked around 100+ police office for over 35 years… I’ve definitely heard a few words. It is on occasion humorous and sometimes gets the point across. Can’t believe Pro Sports has gotten so political. Only pro team I’ll watch from now on is the Highland Park Scots.

We have to replace the starting backfield from last year so we will be relying on some young guys. We will have a Senior who is a road grader, takes multiple defenders to bring him down and does great work up the middle. Don't know much from there, not sure if we have a pure speed guy but we got some of them physical speed guys.

Per a reliable source, Vidor is talking to a couple of teams who also have Wk 2 openings as well. I won't jinx the thing and reveal them but it would be a good contest for Vidor if either one of these schools played them.

Only local school I know of doing video broadcasts is Silsbee. Texan Live will be doing their games using SETXsports for the audio play by. I had heard that BISD and PA Memorial were looking to do video broadcasts but nothing confirmed yet.

Last time Vidor played Jasper in 2015, Vidor beat Jasper 41 to 24 I believe an we were horrible that year. Of course that was 2015, all new kids now. My understanding is Vidor has some running backs that are gonna surprise some people to go along with a legit QB this year. Should be fun to watch.
