Wrong. HD turned in 155 which is what the UIL has them down for in realignment. Cutoff to drop to 1A is 104. [Hidden Content] Also, Hardin enrollment is 367. 4A cutoff is 515. Talk about your exaggerations. But that is pretty normal with you.

Both coaches agreed that it was not enough game played to determine a winner which is why it was ruled a no contest. There were no crying. Both coaches were quick to agree. My info came straight from both coaches.

That sounds like something deeper than HS Football going on... Lol. Sometimes talking out loud about issues helps.

It was 4th and 9 for Jasper and they were going to punt. Silsbee was about to get the ball back with good field position, three plus minutes on the clock, and having scored touchdowns on their last two possessions. It would have been a safe bet.

School Board meeting at halftime to discuss what they’ve seen so far.

Both defenses are playing tough. Huffman offense had a couple false starts and defense had at least 5 offsides that half. still in it but the offense needs to score. Starting RB is out so it’s gonna be tough. And Needville D-Line is big. The HH O-line ain’t backing down but they are giving up a lot of bacon across the line. They gotta keep scrapping.

Will they win district and how many rounds deep? I'm thinking at least 3 rounds but they years after could be even better. I'm away you the young man Mr. Miller but who else could make noise as a freshman or sophomore

I’m with you! I don’t dislike Jasper, but I LOVE Silsbee. I’ve been friends with more coaches there for the past 40 years than I can count. I just like the silly reactions. Lol. I wish I could’ve seen Jasper fake win and Silsbee fake comeback in person. But I will tell you, no way was Silsbee gonna pull that off at the end of the night. They might’ve had the momentum swing, but Jasper would’ve made the 1/2 time adjustments and shut that crap down. You know it’s true.

Good to see Kirbyville get a win but Shepherd is waaaaaaayyy down. 2 offensive starters and 0 defensive starters return from a very mediocre team from last year.

I’m sure Coldsprings has athletes they always do!! Maybe they are better than what most thought!!

Doubt it!! Silsbee would have won more in a row if Jasper stop playing us for 3 or 4 years. Silsbee is behind overall but has thr streak. Jasper has a solid team this year. Good Luck!

Hm that’s weird how bout the cheap dirty shot that Jaspers lineman took tonight popping Silsbee kids ankle out. Grabbed his leg and rolled. Film doesn’t lie. Then Jasper dawgs stood there for ten minutes and wouldn’t even take a knee. Poor training.

Kirbyville’s defense I thought looked really good , Coy Fussell had one of the best games I’ve ever seen at inside linebacker. Offensively we looked ok the wet field conditions had a little to do with it. Timing on routes not there, lots of missed opportunities with wide open receivers. The running game looked ok at times. Offensive line looked ok needs to work on run blocking. I thought the 2nd half of the contest Kirbyville looked awful offensively.

Confirmed by both coaches. Game ruled a no contest. No winner or loser. Both teams will enter week 3 with 0-0 records.

Silsbee was clearly in control of that game at the time of the stoppage and more than likely would have taken the lead before halftime.

Technically You are correct lol but I don’t think that’s the way coach Barbay is looking at their performance. Dawgs got a good team though, #34 is a beast, and #4 is quick and can pack a punch on defense, 74 and 73 are huge. Good luck this year!

Strange they called it. Seems like I remember a game a few years ago delayed by weather, and it was near midnight before they resumed. But I’m a tad bit senile, so I could be wrong. Cest la vie.

I'm not sure what the UIL rules are in this situation. Is it really going to count since they didn't get to halftime? I'll take it either way, but Silsbee had Uncle Mo on their side at the end. Playing it out could have gone either way.

The game momentum was completely changing .. not sure how the turnout Would have been but looking like it was gonna be a great game

Like he said, it’s not a hoax. The supposed guidelines are a hoax. How many of you wear a mask during flu season? Exactly. He already had to miss the regional and state powerlifting meet last year. He’s a senior. His time is up. I’m not gonna screw it up for him. It’s like having a gun to your head. You gotta do what they (whoever they are...CDC, UIL, State and Federal Govt) say or they’re gonna pull the trigger. I’ll be wearing my mask like a good boy at his game tonight. People's aversion to doing something as simple as wearing a mask so you don't infect your neighbor and so we can open society up tells me there are tons of people who take this as a hoax.

Look, I am slated to broadcast the Lumberton/Coldspring game on Friday night. I plan on wearing a mask all throughout so I apologize in advance. If I can wear it for 3 hours, so can you.
