I still believe Coach Ware is a good coach and the right coach for Dayton. One thing that’s obvious from looking at the Broncos on the hoof is that they have a participation issue.

As for the having players going both ways, there is one particular play I’d like to point out - The two point conversion where we had 3 lineman in front of QB. Why wasn’t #55 (Jordan Smith) one of the 3 blockers? Heck, I could’ve scored behind him. Defense played great, and Smith had an exceptional game. Secondary is one of the best Vidor has had in a long time. That said, why can’t they win? For whatever reason, no consistent enthusiasm/drive. I would go so far to say Vidor’s record may have been better if they were in 5A. As someone pointed out in another post, they play better as underdogs. Meanwhile Vidor fans buy Rolaids and Alka-Seltzer in bulk.

Yes I am! There will be some great RBs on display next Friday night. Both teams have studs that could take it to house on each carry. Coach Mo is definitely familiar with that Coldspring offense so it should be a good coaching matchup as well.

It’s real simple you can’t recruit kids for athletics, Fannett has had 4 new players in a year because of recruiting, they are putting a stop to it, I mean most schools don’t get 4 good move ins in a year that play basketball. It’s not hard to see what’s going on here so it seems like the sups are putting a stop to it.

Nice win Jasper. I didn’t think this game would be close. Saw some other people posting that this would be a close game. I never saw it. I thought Jasper was a much better team. It showed tonight. Center is a pretty good team, but Jasper is one of the top 5 teams in 4a DII.

I'm proud to see the Mustangs rebuilding their program. Great game Burkeville! These kids played hard every single snap. Regardless of the score...they brought it. I must say, there are some really good athletes on that team, and they only dress 14-15 young men. That says a lot in my book. I'm hoping for a bright future for y'all!

I’m not trying to pile on, but if we are being honest, the whole preseason was nothing but talk about Vidor steamrolling this district, so the Smart A?? comment from him is somewhat justified. @LC-M has never said anything but how the LCM team needs to get better. So your not going to shame him by talking about their loss to Vidor. The best thing is to hope your team does better. It’s the only way to squash the sideways comments. Trust me, I know. I’m from Lumberton.

This is really the issue. Both teams suffered. This wasn’t a legitimate game. The spots for Vidor were generous the first quarter and it’s like they overcompensated in the second quarter for Huffman. the TD that was called back was iffy, it wasn’t blatant or much different than what they had not called all night. The interference call on Vidor was iffy but, yet again, they had been letting them play earlier. Nobody won this game. Huffman had more points when the clock expired. both these teams kids deserved better than that.

I wouldn’t expect Diboll to go to the deep ball often. They will certainly try to lean heavily on the run game and pass enough just to keep the defense honest. Coldspring blitzed a lot against Crockett and was successful at getting into the backfield. Diboll will need to pop a couple of quick routes across the middle to keep the LBs in coverage because Coldspring always has good LBs.

Ok because I just watched where we don't play our safeties far back enough and usually blitz most the time something that we have to work on or we will be beat by the deep ball often

I had Vidor winning this district before season started. I just didn't have them beating the likes of Jasper and Silsbee like some were saying.

Y'all say what you think you need to say about #32 Keamodre (Red) Horace, but he's one hell of a RB. The young man has earned almost 1700 yds before this game and it wasn't because he had the best offensive line to get behind. He earned those hard yds with his talent, his strength, his speed, his mobility, his endurance, and his love for the game. Jasper definitely had a good game plan to keep him in check. It was obvious from the start the Bulldogs were beam lining on him. Which every team should when facing another teams main weapon. But the young man deserves some respect from which he has accomplished, basically on his own.

Just seen on Twitter, a player from HH praising both fronts for a great game and praised Vidor coaches and players for being very respectful. Kudos to that young man and his great sportsmanship! 🤝

I didn’t read this whole post or any recent post about Vidor, but I thought them moving down to 4A was going to produce a DC and a long playoff run? What happened?

It was bad enough with my son playing Tennis, I can only imagine the changes you guys are having to make on a daily basis. I actually feel so lost without basketball. I wish college basketball would hurry up and start already.

I know every parent out there is proud of their kids and as well as you should be but just think about the fact that they're not just athletes but student-athletes. School work is hard enough but especially in this day in time with the pandemic it is even harder to juggle your school work with Athletics. I'm just saying if they've made it to Friday night that means they've shown the responsibility and the determination it takes to play on Friday nights and probably made a lot of sacrifices to do so.

Isn't that something? And that's with two PN-G alums as voters.
