  2. Coach is doing a good job we are spread really thin - we stack the defense one game then switch and stack the offense another and a few players get injured and then were lacking depth with only 33 players to pick from. Next year should be a differant story.

Mouthbreather, I hope this name survives longer than the last couple of ones. You just aren't very good at this.

  6. They have people that can catch the ball. Livingston was very lucky no one knows how to catch in 10-4A-I

  7. Coach not the problem the talent just not there anymore. Maybe the 8th grade class can bring Dayton back to life.

  10. Great game. Even though Huffman lost. Just a great game. turnovers and penalties. Huffman has missed the turnover and penalty bug all year. Caught up to them tonight. Good teams will do that to ya. Congrats Livingston!!

  11. I saw the game winner on Vype, Livingston brought the whole town to Huffman, them fans were hyped!

  12. Thanks. He also said the hitting was slobberknocker wicked. He said in the 3rd quarter a BC coach got naked, just so he wouldn't, even by accident, be mistaken for a player. Not sure about that one. I'll check. Either way sounds like the Stangs are getting into playoff mode.

  13. Heard a WO-S linebacker hit a BC running back so hard that the WO-S player who got the fumble called for a fair catch. Don't know, my source may be wrong. Just sayin.

  16. Oh well, I'm going to always love my Raiders whether I'm still here or not. Good luck Pirates you really man handled our guys tonight. See you on the Bball court and the soccer pitch. Raiders let's hope next year treats us better.

  17. Deep shot middle, picked #12 took it away from the receiver. I wish they would use him on offense but what do I know, I’m very biased lol.

  18. Anyone taking the Pirates here? They are definitely in a tough spot after underperforming in district play. But the team is finally healthy, they have improved and made some needed changes as the season went on. Will it be enough to keep the game close and hope to catch a break or two? Crazier things have happened right... haven’t they?

Does this mean it is time for the right to burn buildings and steal flat screen tvs?

  21. I'm not counting the Pirates out, a little bias but I think they found their identity the past few weeks with getting back under center and doing what they do best, running the ball and mixing it up with misdirection. The defense speaks for itself, but this will probably be the best offense we'll see since Jasper which I think will help us against Lindale. Pirates going into this with some momentum and finding their offensive identity again with a deceiving win/loss record, it could possibly have a recipe for upset but we'll see.👀

  25. Yep! I questioned his leadership after that game. So coaching does have a little something to do with it. Heck I havnt met a WOS fan yet that has told me they wanted Crouch back at OC.

  26. The reason I think we haven't been consistent. #1 Lack of athletes, #2 parents not buying in the program and worried about little Johnny getting yelled at. #3 band first, #4 everyone gets a trophy mentality#5 coaching. Ill give example that I witness several years ago where I saw a LCM kid quilt on the side line during a game. He refused to go back in the game. Well let’s just say the next week he started. If the coaches are not holding the kids accountable and letting them do what they want and when they want on their football team we will never be good. We hold no discipline at our school. Are you from LCM Elvis ?

  28. People "move in" to Barrett because they want to play for Crosby who has been a very successful program compared to the Baytown schools. It wasn't that long ago that Olin was able to recruit some pretty decent players (including a QB) from Barrett to Lee. And yes, it seems that Crosby's current QB started his high school career at GCM. No matter what, you play with the ones that stay. Been like that since the program killing move to 6A at GCM. Those two years set them back 5 years and they are working hard to recover. The "losing" mindset is a tough one to break. It's at that point kids look for greener pastures. The Hispanic players at all three schools in Baytown have been valuable contributiors to the football programs. However, most of the Hispanic athletes in the district do not play football. If you watch NCAA or professional football you see that is not out of the ordinary. If look at all 3 high schools, there is plenty of football talent in Baytown. It's just spread too thin. Bottom line, it was a great win for GCM and a tough loss for RSS. To start a rivalry, you have to win a few. I hope this kickstarted that rivalry. Baytown needs it.

  30. exactly - still a lot to prove. BH proved a lot about themselves tonight. There were moments PNG looked solid as well. However, given the size advantage BH has on the lines, it’s hard to think they wouldn’t win again. Some of it was momentum too - opening the game with two big turnovers put PNG in a mental, as well as a points hole. And of course PNG having a nonexistent defensive line means we are going to be at a disadvantage against every even sort of good team we play. It’s been the story all season - PnG is playing with one hand tied behind its back. That we’ve had success at all is a testament to Bost + Co on offense. The defense is abysmal. No one should ever be able to run that consistently against us, but BHs runners chewed up yards 9 or 10 at a time. No open field tackling, no fundamentals, no wrapping up. After six games it’s fairly certain these problems won’t be fixed this season. So we’ll hopefully be the third seed, lose in the first round and march out another good offense next year, with a water polo team for a defense. It’s frustrating because the defensive players are playing tough and hard, but they are completely out of position.

  31. I was mostly judging by the loss to Santa Fe. I do realize PNG’s defense is terrible as always though lol

  32. So I was a little off. lol Congrats Dawgs! District 10 should make some noise in the playoffs. At least in the first round anyways.

  33. Yea one of the players showed me the endzone view, it was the defender who grabbed the blocker and slung him. He went flying into the sideline and tumbled to the ground at the end of the play but we got the holding penalty.

The LP/FW game is on youtube. 1st impression is FW's Oline can't block and they run a 3/4-5/2 look and both lines are smallish. LP's receivers can't catch Edit: FW offense scores 6. A 70+ yard fumble return and 2 safeties on LP punts........

  36. Great win tonight! Defense played their game like usual and run game opened up after a few series and the RBs weren't afraid to hit holes and turn it up field. No missed XPs and the punting was the best I've seen this season. If y'all didn't notice, Jordan wasn't wearing #55 tonight, he wore #99 for offensive packages but only played a handful of downs on O.

  41. Although the Lady Rebels fought to the end there just wasnt much they could do against Iola. But hats off to this lady rebel group for making Iola call a time out in game 3. After losing the first two sets 25-8 and 25-9 it would have been easy to roll over and die but just dont teach that in Evadale. The ladies stormed out in the 3rd set and were tied at 11 before Iola recovered to win the final set. Congrats on your season lady rebels it was great fun. Will miss all our seniors. Madison,Sierra,Mikayla,Chelsea and Kinzi.
