Man, thatās a toughie because my tastes have changed as Iāve aged. I grew up in the era of the hair bands and then grunge/thrash. I saw Pantera several times back in the day and they WOULD have been my favorite, but I just canāt handle it anymore. I guess itās my low T or something. Early Skynyrd is under appreciated. Motown soul (Marvin, Sam Cooke, Otis). Iāve seen John Mayer a few times and he is also under appreciated. George Strait will forever be the king of country. Lately Iāve been into a lot of alternative country I had a Blackberry Smoke phase, Cody Jinks phase, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, and Tyler Childers are just the kind of catalogs Iāve been through in the last few years. The Drive-by Truckers have a top notch catalog. If you check them out, youāll be going through it for months. The last couple of albums are too political for my taste, but otherwise they are a fantastic representation of the way a lot of white educated southerners from my generation feel on social issues. They were a favorite of mine for years. This week Iām all over the new Koe Wetzel. The Turnpike Troubadours are another current favorite of mine. It doesnāt get any sweeter than the Blackwood Brothers backing up Elvis. I love music, lol.2 points -
Isnāt it precious watching the Sunday hosts demand āevidenceā from Sidney Powell yet they promoted the Russian collusion lie for years without any evidence? Did they demand evidence from Schiff or their own colleagues they hired from the FBI and intel agencies? Of course not. They happily promoted And actively participated in a Democrat conspiracy. And letās talk about evidence. Notice how they all covered up the mounds of evidence implicating the Biden family in corruption and dealings with foreign companies dats prior to the election? Laptop, emails, texts, witnesses, etc. You know, evidence! But they censored it. All hacks.2 points

For sure.... the lead singer of the Gourds (Shinyribs) just played a music fest outside of Kountze about a month ago. Heās entertaining, no doubt. I think my problem with ācountry rapā is that most of it just isnāt any good. I say the same thing about the new hip-hop that the kids try to make me listen to these days. Freaking mumble rap. I really appreciated the staring outta Compton movie a couple of years ago because it introduced a lot of kids to genuine artists (even if you didnāt care for the format) from a few years back. āThe game has evolved,ā the kids say.... āno, youāre just listening to a bunch of pill heads with laptops and face tattoos who canāt come up with anything original.ā But back to the country rap... most of it is just fat white dudes rapping about moonshine, backroads, and mud. Oh, and hard work, which Iām pretty sure none of them have ever done. No offense, but country rap is kinda like most contemporary Christian music. Itās just a bad music.1 point -

Yep. Lol. I didnāt say it was good. Your comment literally made me laugh out loud. Shooter Jennings is Waylon Jenningsā son (since you brought up Struggle Jennings). The flip side which is a dark version of āYou are my sunshineā is good though. Dang, I canāt quit laughing. š1 point -

He got out coached period. Huffman had the better team by far last year and got exposed as a one trick pony. HF is much better this year and are deeper. It won't even be close this go round and the HJ game will be the same.1 point -

cornerbacks also aren't the fast kids that couldn't catch the ball anymore. Your DB's need ball skills because winning that 50/50 ball is now priority.1 point

I find Dayton to be a bit of an enigma. They certainly did not look like a winless team against Nederland when I saw them. I honestly thought they looked better than both Santa Fe and Texas City. It must be consistency issue.1 point

In my opinion this year we lack the depth to compete against teams like Crosby & BH or any other team in our district for that matter. On the positive side this is a complete rebuilding year from 8 yrs of being trashed from incompetent coaching. Although a few posters complain that some of our best athletes bailed before our season started Im kind of glad they did . We are young and with most all of our skill players will be returning with experience I think we will be one the better offenses in the district next season. We have shown flashes of promise - holding Crosby to 3 points in the second half - leading and controling most of the first half against Big Ned.- we just cant seem to keep pace for four quarters, and I expect that to be the same case with BH.Our new coach is on the right track so dont sleep on us or you might get beat by a bottom tier team.1 point

Crosby 54 Port Neches-Groves 7/FINAL
Cougar239 reacted to Cougar14.2 for a topic
Crosby has beaten or would beat PNG, BH and GCM by at least 4tds but somehow PAM hasnāt beaten any of them by more than one score? PAMās most impressive win to date is a 20 point win over 2nd place Lee who went 4-10 in our district last alignment. Thereās no value in even talking about hypotheticals being in two different divisions but I do think this version of Crosby would beat the current version of PAM by 20+, something like 42-21. I think Hightower is going to beat Paetow and yāall will struggle with Paetow in bi-district. Everyone else in the district will probably lose by at least 20. Congrats to your team on a great season though. Manvel just beat #5 Foster worse than they did Crosby so I donāt think thereās any hope of getting past them but good luck on a deep playoff run toošš¾1 point -
BH has played both and Crosby is the better team hands down. If you think our district is down PAMās is way down.1 point
