When Yates dropped down a conference they were serving up the same dish. I was over here in Houston listening to Yates fanatics talking that noise: "JY is gonna when every game, they will win state every year." Tbh they have won more than they have lost. They have won the lion's share (no pun intended) of rings, but they haven't won all of them. BU's legacy won't be built on dominating the smaller schools in the golden triangle. It will be built on how they handle conference competition, year in and year out. Back when PA Lincoln was around their reputation was not built on how they dominated the greater Beaumont area. It was built on marching thru the playoffs and bringing home state trophies. Year in and year out, that is not easy to do.

The fortunate thing is that Coldspring has only 1 district game (12/22 vs. Onalaska) in that time period. Their next district game after that is 1/5 at Trinity.

So Huffman looks like the debate team? WHat does a debate team look like? What does a basketball team look like. If you watched #3 Iowa play on tv couple nights ago, one might conclude they look like a debate team.

After a few years of not much success, someone came up with the wild idea to go outside to an untested long time assistant coach. They hired some guy named Larry Neumann. I could have told them that it would never work but they didn’t ask me. Stay inside and keep the paperwork in order. That is the way to move forward!!

Tonight opens up the 1st round of playoffs for the Crosby Cougars @ The Jungle. Should be a victory for the Coogs that sets them up to face off with Texas High next round. Good luck Cougars and all District 12 teams who will be playing also.

That would depend on the rules set out by the DEC. Unlike football, there may be opportunities to make up these games.

WO-S appears to me to be a younger team than last year's squad that was senior driven. Plus they are adjusting to a new coach as well. From film I have seen they look athletic and fly around the court. Lumberton is coming off being shut down from this quarantine protocol stuff,and won't have a lot of practice time to get back up to speed before Friday's game. WO-S will have to be ready on both sides of the ball, however, as Lumberton has shown that they can point some points on the board, albeit at a pace much less than the truly loaded HJ squad. Just my take, and I am glad to see the Lady Raiders back on the court.

Let me educate on the difference: The difference is is that what Texas is doing, they do not need to prove any fraud. This case goes directly to the Supreme Court. This is strictly a Constitutional violation question. The only ones at the state level that can make election rules and laws are the LEGISLATURES!! In these states, the Governor, the Secretary of State and the state Supreme Courts were making/changing rules that 100% violates the U.S Constitution. So, with that being said, true, the Supreme Court does not have to take this. BUT -- if they do, then there's no doubt that laws were broken by these 4-5 states and Trump will win. I know you won't hear this info on CNN. Do your homework and prove me wrong!

By next year we should have a good idea of where Silsbee stands. I still think we'll be okay come district and playoff time this year. We go into district without winning a single game, I might start to worry a little. We've got some other kids in the pipeline that already look to be excellent ballers. A lot of them won't make it to high school in time to play with our current kids though. BU should make it to state this year. What's the main thing standing in their way of a title? FB Hightower and Lancaster? Either them or some other Metroplex school, I'd guess.

Alot of clock management and Jenkins really wasn't able to break many long runs against Vidor. I think his longest run against us was about 30 yarder which went for a TD. I know alot of his yards came in the 2nd half, cause he was held to only 50 something in the first half. I can definitely see him getting 200+ if LBJ can't manage the clock and keep him and that offense off the field.

I was thinking about that game when I made my last post. I also was trying to allude to there is no more Central, or Ozen. All the players and resources are concentrated in one program now. McCain, Adams, Bush, et al, not walking out of the dressing room for Silsbee anymore. They said the same thing when the greats of the past left too. It is time for the new guys to write some more chapters in the history books.

4a school playing a 6a school always tough and makes it’s tougher with a long road trip. BC vs PNG was a barn burner last night such a a great game to watch.

When I was in school at Vidor (1971-1975)...we were 0-40.....we were the butt of IH10 jokes....Interstate 10-Vidor 0....etc.....they NEVER won a football game while I was in high school.......
