I wanna say thanks to all of u. Damon was my best friend. Just know my friend had a long hard fought battle with things nobody knew about. Not sure if I can/will continue to follow local football anymore. He and I been doing this since 94. It won’t be the same without him sitting with me in the stands... RIP D... rest easy my friend

Not as embarrassing if they didn’t have a running clock in the 4th. Actually, I don’t know if you call it embarrassing or not, you just got beat by a group of girls that dedicate and put work in to be better at there craft than you do. PNG for years has done that in Volleyball, if they ever make more of a shift in basketball they could be good there too. Mine dedicated herself to basketball for four years at PNG and she lead them to the playoffs the last two years and that was with only one other dedicating themselves. Got to put in the work and time to be that good and you should never let up to not “embarrass” a team because they didn’t work as hard.

FBM is solid, but Ned was so bad on Saturday that I could list pages and pages of teams that would have beat the crap out of us, including Crosby. If Dunn is healthy, I think Crosby will win this game.

One of our longtime members and big PA Memorial fan, bigd92 (Damon Bowden), passed away last night. Condolences to his family and friends. Damon was a great guy.

You guys need to pass on FBM. Nederland dropped an early pass for TD and seamed like liked they got away from it. The only thing FBM had to do is shut down our running game. Which they did very well. Pass to set up the run. Only my opinion. On defense have your best CB on Marshall, maybe two and good luck.

Enough of the inner district bickering 😁 12-5a is still in it with the Crosby Cougars. Supporting our district mates and wishing them much success against FBM. We should all be Cougars right now. Go stomp a mud hole in the Buffalos. I'm not wearing red though.

No dunks. Baltrip almost had one. I think Jones played his best game today. Would have payed good money to see the look on Coach Sigler's face when he jacked up that 3 though 😄 This game felt more like a group effort than one or two kids going off. It's nice to see because sometimes your star players are gonna have an off night. Wasn't that fun to watch. I swear there must have been about 50 fouls called in total.

It just doesn’t happen. You’re more likes to find humans on Mars than validly break a record by 22%. So let’s see how this pans out. Lance Armstrong won Cycling’s Tour de France an unheard of 7 straight times, repeatedly passing drug test. An investigation found he was using drugs and he was stripped of his titles. Mark McGwire broke Roger Maris’ HR record of 61 with 70. That’s a whooping 14.7%. After an investigation (including Congressional), McGwire admitted he had used steroids. What do these two incidents have in common with Biden’s win? All three records were broken by an unrealistic number. The difference is, the two sports records were investigated, yet no one wants to investigate this election. How strange is that? This wasn’t an election, it was a choreographed stealing of the most powerful position on earth.

What HJ has going on right is very special and very rare, and should be viewed and enjoyed. What they have in terms of the combination of personnel and coaching skill level is extremely ATYPICAL for most girls programs at any level, save a few of the long standing programs in others parts of the state. As a player, my daughter has been fortunate enough to be taught by a group of coaches over the years who have instilled a "RESPECT EVERYONE, FEAR NO ONE" mindset. They have taught her that when you compete on the court every play, and you don't look at the scoreboard, you have played the game the right way. At that point, if a player has competed as hard as they can regardless the outcome, like Teddy Roosevelt said one is able to say, "It is not the critic who matters....."

Nederland is a big smash mouth running team with couple good pieces they need to hold people down. That's why they don't do hurry up very often, use a lot of flank backs and TE/FB formations and are completely happy getting 3-5 yards a play. Similar to someone like Huntsville although that team had some playmakers particularly their D1 DL and their #4 wide receiver. If you're Nederland game planning you thought is we have to score efficiently. and play great defense, they feel like the Huntsville style of team. I think Huntsville is a bit of a more dynamic defensive team, but you have to use your size to move the ball and control the game. Which is how you would describe both teams this year. How do they win they hold down their opponents and win without having to score a lot. Huntsville was beating everyone 28-0, 35-7, Nederland was winning their games 35-28, 28-21. This is very different from what Crosby will bring which is a highly dynamic offense, being bigger and stronger won't matter as much because most of the Crosby offense is putting you in double trouble. do you go for Dunn or Branch, or the Wide receiver. It was very effective against Texas High, and pretty effective against Huntsville. Was it as effective against Nederland? No but Dunn also wasn't playing QB against Nederland. The offense has looked completely different since Dunn took over which also explains how much we need him to be healthy. 66 versus FBW, 62 Versus Texas high and then 32 against a defense that hadn't given up more than 17 all year. BH scored 19 in a blowout late and Crosby put 32 on that defense to win. Without Dunn for a quarter. I can see a shootout coming with Marshall because of that awesome Wide receiver they have he will create so many problems. but these are two completely different styles of teams.

I was thinking if they can stream and record games other places why not in Silsbee? I didn't know til just now it was already going on. I'm guessing the UIL is allowing this because of pandemic restrictions on crowds at games. I am glad I can see the Tigers this year. It is not as good as actually being at the games. While yesterday certainly did not go as the Dogs had hoped, this team certainly overachieved...pre season, many had them as a question mark to make the playoffs...they won district and two playoff games to compile a very respectable 9 win season...only one team in each division has their season end the way they want, so hats off to a team that proved to be far better than most expected!!
