Look, Silsbee had a wake up call last game and they weren’t going to overlook Lumberton and Mr. McClure. It is a testament to how far Mitchell has brought this program that this was considered a big game for Silsbee (that and the great divide in this district). Silsbee seems to be getting better each game, which is what you would expect from a young team with a veteran coach. They still can be beaten in this district if they don’t come ready to play. But I think tonight showed us that if they do have their heads on straight, young as they are, they are still the big dog in this district by a good bit. On a side note, good to hear you on the call again @AggiesAreWe

It sounds like everything had to go right for Crosby pretty much all year to make that date . . . and it did. Now we get to line it up with one of the most storied programs in THSF history. Win or lose I feel like Crosby just answered a bunch of the state’s questions about the quality of 5A football played “around here”.

Honestly he probably was about 24/25 from the ft line. Great players know how to draw fouls. His shots were not falling until the 2nd half. I was impressed with his game today overall. Probably had 40 points 15 rebounds (again). As far as Silsbee being dirty players, we have ALWAYS had that on our back lol people hate our style of play. You are exactly right, get tougher!! I am extremely impressed with Harris and Miller. To only be freshman, my goodness they are going to be unstoppable. Very bright future in Silsbee.

Rings or not I think we had/have a better chance against Aledo than we did against Liberty Hill. Conventional spread team we’ve been playing excellently against every game since Montgomery. Remember what we said about FBM not being the same FBM as years past? Same thing can be said for this version of Aledo. They’re probably even more gettable this year than the squad that lost to College Station in ‘17.

I see somethings doesn't change in this particular district, Silsbee is still the King of this district until proven other wise.

That was one of the most exciting and entertaining games I have ever seen in person. Both teams played their hearts out.

Definitely a season to remember for Crosby fans. 4 straight wins over ranked, undefeated teams. 2 OT playoff wins. State Final. Hell, I’m not a Crosby fan and I’ll remember it for a long long time. I’m so glad I’ve been able to watch these last 3 games in person.

i am the fan that was ejected. let my emotion get best of me. BUT nothing was said to any player, nothing threatening, derogatory, and no cuss words. i told ref he sucked and his mom must be disappointed in him. and he tossed me for that sentence. nothing more and nothing less. the tigers played a better game and not saying lumberton should have won, and not saying they would have won with better refs. im saying that offical sucked

Two defensive stops has Crosby ahead right now. Problem is that we need two more defensive stops in the second half I’m not sure we can get? See what type of adjustments the defensive staff makes? Not having the 42 points I feel like we should is very impactful right now. Hopefully 70 is enough for Crosby? And I mean “hopefully” as in 70 hasn’t been enough before for us in a playoff game.

Crosby D did well at the beginning. Those 2 long passes opened things up. I would go back to the way they started. If LH beats you passing, then oh well. Sell out and stop the run. Make them have to throw

Wow! I thought I would never see the day, I'm so happy for Crosby and our district. A big thank you to Nederland for the wake up call...big task coming next week I hope we just go play and have fun because we earned the right to be there.

Here let me say something nice about Raider basketball. Those other two games Lumberton played Silsbee tonight, they came out and were playing to win. Just a few short years ago, they would of had that deer in headlights look as soon as the ball was tipped off. They played hard tonight and didn't look scared at all, even though they did end up losing by 20 (freshman game). And really I'm starting to think our freshman team could beat the JV one. I really like Coach Mitchell. He was trying get it through his kids head all night to toughen up. Y`all had better hope he sticks around for a while.

That all starts with Silsbee’s youth (LD) program. Silsbee is one of the few places that actually teaches kids how to correctly play defense. They don’t feed them the myth that basketball is a non-contact sport. And while I have to admit I haven’t seen a single Silsbee little dribbler game that wasn’t against another town, I’m assuming they try to have games officiated properly. Conversely, you have other towns where they grow up used to getting every touch foul, momma’s get upset when someone bodies little Johnny, etc. So when you play Silsbee, they are playing dirty because they play hard, physical defense. Would grate on my last nerve sitting in the stands listening to that.

But according to some, they will beat United next time by 15.

Arkansas needs to offer Branch.

If Maxine Waters wasn’t inciting a riot, I don’t know what else to call it. No complaints from any yahoos on that one.

It’s a cold one, about 45 degrees.

I always find it funny how Coaches that have a winning history talk about how they don't have many "Players/Athletes". That it is all the program.... If they were doing well in just one sport I would agree but don't let him fool you.... they got DUDES!!! In the last 2 years basketball went 62-15 (Reg quarter-finalist/ State runner up) and baseball 43 - 7 (season cut short.. ranked #2, and Regional Finalist) with out having Athletes... sorry don't buy it... sounds great in a interview though..

BU is very athletic that can cover a lot of court. That half court trap was deadly along with the full court press. And to think how young they are is crazy! They may win State 2 out of the next 3 years. It's going to take a special team to beat them. And if they are hitting their outside shot, nobody will beat them. Last night they were not hitting the outside shot and could have beat Nederland by 60. Nederland's guards were very timid and way over matched! Any team that is athletic that can apply full court pressure will give Nederland problems. But no team will be as athletic as BU along with the length. These kid's will be studs by the time they are Seniors. That freshman looks like a Senior now. I was very impressed by BU and can't wait to see them play someone to see how good they really are. I will be at their playoff games. Then you throw in a proven coach like Green this team is scary good! If they stay in this district they may not lose a game the next 4 years. These kid's are really good and I'm sure watching them on a regular basis is pretty fun.

I was just having a conversation on another topic about this...Katy stays going into Missouri City/Alief and getting thoes athletes or even North Shore getting the kids out of Kashmier Gardens
