The news feeds are saying that "unity" was a major theme/talking point of president bidens speech. What a joke!!! How can he stand up in front of America and talk about unity after what the DEMONcrats did the last 4 years? How can he talk about unity after the last 8 months of racist hate from blm and antifa? There hasn't been unity since President Trump took office. Why does he want it now? Maybe he and his party can receive the same form of unity that has been shown the last 4 years.

Quick question......would we be even debating this if this was a boys team? What these girls are doing is AMAZING! Averaging almost 100 ppg (1st in the USA) getting about 90 possesions a game! 5 players are averaging double digits, they are averaging almost 25 assists a game while only committing about 13-15 TO's a game. WOW! The grind is real over there at HJ and they start them young. You cant call yourself a basketball fan and not applaud what these young ladies are doing. Now if they dont finish the deal, then we will have something to talk about! In the meantime lets keep it moving.

Has nothing to do with “Crosby team”. I would look at it like this: If I was fielding a “first-team” from 12-5a, Reggie Branch would be starting on it. Again I understand how they do it but also think that is ridiculous. For example, if a player played OL and DL and was hands down the best in the district at both positions, he can only get awarded for one. Back to my point that “everybody gets a trophy”. Just saying.

If we really wanted to cut spending, how about the majority of spending going to America. We can improve roads, bridges, parks - all of which would put Americans to work. We could then stop sending obscene amounts to overseas countries for incubation of anti-American hatred. However, with Biden’s stated objective of opening up the borders we will just continue to invite those in which hate us.

I assume you don't understand how all district works and that is ok. If you are named an MVP in a category that supersedes any first or second team placement in all district. So in fact Dunn being offensive MVP puts him above all other offensive players. Would you just prefer it be called the all Crosby team so you don't have something to rant about?

Calm down people. I wasn’t questioning the girls’ work ethic of if they are being bullies. No reason to get upset. I asked the question because I know a HJ basketball coach got in trouble with the UIL in the early 90s for the same thing. I get it. Your daughter and her friends play hard and they are really good and the teams you are playing are not.

Traditionally the MVP's don't take up an all district 1st or 2nd team spot. Also, defensively they have basically the entire Cougar defense on district 1st team or MVP Crosby's starting defense has literally 1 starter not on 1st or 2nd team or MVP. I guess it just shows how wrong coaches opinions were going into the playoffs. Fuselier is a really good player but he's not Branch or Dunn. That final district loss apparently swayed coaches who likely didn't even watch the film because they had no incentive to. Branch second team QB is just silly.

Silsbee is going to have issues with Orangefield Friday night. Not all of the varsity players will be back for Friday's game. Some more tested positive.

HJ girls should not be shamed for practicing hard, and putting their all into their program. They give 115% all the time. They do not try to run up the scores in the games, they just execute what they do in practice. Shoot, 90% of the district games have had a running clock! Play hard. Work harder. Be humble. CHECK. CHECK. AND CHECK for the lady hawks. ITS ALWAYS A GREAT DAY TO BE A HAWK! Go Lady Hawks!

I think the final was 62-42 Evadale. I may be off by a point or two.

Wow, who comes up with these ? Reggie Branch led his team to the state finals and the only accolade he gets is 2nd team all-district QB. Didn’t even consider him for what he did as a RB, not even 2nd team. Terrible.

Why do aggies worry so much about Texas’ coaching hires? They jumped around after Slocum, who I liked btw, with Francionne and Sherman, thought they had it with Sumlin, but it was more Johnny Football. Let us hire who we want and test the waters. If you are a HC, this is what you are after. If you are an OC, what could be better? Why all the shoot downs before someone has a chance? Maybe we will play again someday. We’ll call up Case and see what’s happening.
