How many years have we said this about BC concerning football? 🤣 BC is a baseball school, hell one could say track and bball now after that then football. Football isn't a real priority in BC in my opinion.

Hmmm. I recall several Kirbyville faithful coming to this very forum to back Craig Jones for the job, many even wondering why the school board, many who were involved in the Jones' hiring, chose Todd Doughty over Jones as Greg Neece's successor. Once the hiring was made, several swore that the Wildcats were going to shoot to the top. I know none of those supporters signed on to the acts that are alleged in these ongoing investigations. I just find it ironic that fan base that was so sure that Jones was the ticket to the promised land are so critical of the school board that agreed with them 3 years ago. On a somewhat related note, I recall that when Greg Neece left the AD/HFC position for a position coach/coordinator position at Newton, he was roundly criticized for doing so and many demanded to know what his reasoning was for leaving. Perhaps, his reasoning is becoming clearer each day.

I heard that King coordinated the defense for the FB Marshall playoff game. The defense exceeded expectations in that game.

Yet again, The governor under state law chapter 418 of the government code has the authority to declare an emergency and to require masks or businesses restricted. You do not have to agree but it is within the law. When I just cut your statement to, I don’t like the law. I am not surprised by the new AD decisions at all, everything he has touched has turned to crap . Whats surprising is, the worst athletic program Lamar has had in the last 20 years or so haven't been touched which is Track and Field . Tic Price was at least trying to recruit local talent, and out of 7 seasons only had 2 losing seasons . This new AD is a looser and has come in and is destroying Lamar entire athletic program right before our eyes.

They lined up with a simple and straightforward game plan: We are going to pound you into the ground. Stop us, if you can. VHS district champions in 1978, back when only one team advanced. The district was no slouch. Vidor, Thomas Jefferson, Lincoln, PN-G, Nederland, WO-S, Forest Park, BC-P, and French. Go Indians. Peace.

Crosby had a fantastic year. Aledo has been to state many times and is well coached and used to this type of game. They also have as good or better athletes than Crosby. Remember that they barely lost to a 6A team that is playing for a state title tomorrow. Hats off to both schools and incredible seasons!

Time to scrap all the coaches and the AD. Every program consistently underperforms every year. With the exception of women’s soccer. Since Marco Born has taken over baseball has went 37-72. Basketball is 40-38. Football is 9-12. Volleyball is 16-42. Softball is 60-74. Women’s basketball is 36-34. When you have a guy from Memphis running the show what do you expect. Hired a guy from San Diego as the football HC. SETX is home to some of the best talent in Texas. How can the home town school continue to fail to get these guys to commit? My guess is the AD and HCs don’t see the value and talent in this area. Baseball is atrocious. No reason it should be like that. 37-72 over 3 years!!! All Marco Born cares about is raising money and doesn’t care about wins and losses. He needs to go. We need a local guy running the show who will go after the best talent and can compete with bigger schools. I know Lamar isn’t going to compete with A&M, UT, or Tech. But there’s no reason we shouldn’t be competing with La Tech, ULM, UTSA, Rice, etc. Obviously the people in charge don’t have a clue how to get wins and build programs. They are just happy to be there. They simply don’t care.

Crosby went to OT with both Huntsville and Liberty Hill. I think those two were better than FBM and Texas High. Huntsville and LH were very different types of teams so Crosby folks can decide who was best. I personally had Huntsville-Aledo in my predicted Final.
