The Officer showed an excellent ability to act/fire under duress. Whether he’s ex-Military or not is immaterial. The fact that he made a (correct) split second decision, and followed it with four shots dead center, indicates to me he has the tools to be a great Policeman. Wish we had thousands more like him.

Everything the left does is all part of a grand scheme. Call me paranoid, stupid, ignorant, any of a number of names, but to defeat a people without military support, the attack must come from within. You must destroy and/or condone these things.... in no particular order..... 1. Religion 2. The family unit 3. Indoctrination 4. Gun control 5. Legalize marijuana 6. Chaos 7. Protection (police) 8. Borders 9. Voting rights 10. Racism 11. History 12. Heroes 13. Control Lots more, I’m sure. These are of the top of my head. Remember, you can put destroy or condone in front of where they apply. I’m still locked and loaded.

I am very frustrated with what some people are saying. This is an open and shut case. I feel sorry for the officer.

The problem is that too many people with too much influence are not taking a reasonable stance on this shooting. I completely understand the African American community's distrust of the police. For a long time mistreatment was commonplace and widespread. Things are a LOT better now. But as long as the media continues to show the rare outlier 24/7 (George Floyd, Walter Scott, Philando Castile), and as long as activists try to make issues out of legitimate shootings (which are about 99% of police shootings), there's never going to be much improvement. You have people with millions of followers tweeting for justice for MaKhia Bryant. Now millions of people immediately assume the cop did something wrong. People are watching the video questioning why a cop needs to shoot someone trying to stab someone with a knife. It's asinine. I saw a video awhile back of a young black man getting shot because he shot at an officer. His brother witnessed this and claimed to the media he was unarmed. Before bodycam footage was released, dozens of activists tweeted and posted and instagrammed about this grave injustice. Millions of people were outraged over this young "unarmed man" being killed for "no reason". Then the bodycam came out, proving his brother a liar, and none of those activists mentioned it again. They let the outrage fester, and did not admit they were wrong and that the officer was right. For things to get better, we need justice for people who are unjustly killed by police. But we also need for police who are doing their job properly to be allowed to do it, without fear of being convicted of murder when they're part of completely justified shootings. It's a really difficult situation.

Interesting opinion. My thoughts are they are playing on the feelings of liberals and young folks, while setting up a villain at the same time. I hear constantly that cops: 1. Should not be in their job if they are scared. 2. Should physically try to remove guns from people 3. Should use a taser instead of deadly force 4. Should shoot in the knee, hand, arm, leg, etc 5. Should never, ever, ever make a mistake. 6. Should always make perfect split second decisions. They want us to lower our standards and accept looting, burning and criminal behavior as normal. We had a city block taken over by terrorist and the left was perfectly OK with that........think about that and what America is becoming......not a great outlook in my opinion.

If the black community wants to be outraged, why not use their anger appropriately, ask why the four adults present did nothing? Why didn’t they defuse this volatile situation before it went this far? The officer did the right thing. The scary thought, will the next officer, or will he let the killing and stabbing continue? Will he let the next black person with a weapon kill at will? Wonder if the girl was fixing to stab Lebron James if he’d rather the Police not shoot? Good grief, has so many in the black community lost their minds?

I'm sure that he, like most, had bad information when they started assassinating the character of this policeman. But, given the time and opportunity to make a correction, Lebron neither apologized to the officer he'd wronged or admitted that he'd made a mistake at all. Instead he gave this garbage... What's he still so angry about? What does he mean by "may justice prevail?" Instead of admitting that he messed up, he whines about "i was just angry and everybody else "used my words to create more racism." No Lebron, your words come from a place of racism. She was mere milliseconds away from stabbing the young lady in the neck. The officer made the right decision. I am impressed with his accuracy and precision. Most people that I have encountered that are mad do not know the full story. They think she was in her yard holding the knife in her hand, and the cop jumped out and killed her. When they see the video, most understand. I am glad that the cop had his dashcam on. The deceased family was telling a different version of events.
