I wouldn’t worry too much about Trump supporters being brainwashed, it’s not an issue with the right. The folks that tune into CNN and MSNBC and voted for the fools in the White House are the ones you should worry about. I think Trump simply wants to tout his policies that actually worked against the dumpster fire we have now. He’s got to find a voice somewhere, the honorable folks at Facebook (who you should also worry about) won’t give him one.

The greatest time of the year is upon us, Texas HS baseball playoff time. There has not been a lot of talk from the fans this year. A few questions to think about: 1). Who will go the deepest this year? 2). Who will get surprised and knocked out the first round? 3). Do we have any teams locally that can make a legitimate push for Austin / Round Rock and a state title? I think Barbers Hill is the highest ranked team we have in the area. Orangefield has played solid ball, as has PN-G. Silsbee always makes noise come playoff time. Evadale has quietly put together a solid season as has West Sabine, Colmesneil and Big Sandy. BC had people wondering if they would miss the playoffs but rallied in the second half of the season - could they be peaking at the right time. HF is in the top 25 and they always are competitive. What about Woodville - the Eagles are solid from top to bottom - could they make some noise? Let’s hear what you have to say. We should have more chatter on the baseball forum. Keep us updated on your team, your city and your kids. Beat of luck to all the players and the coaches who have put in long hours. Enjoy every minute because it’ll be over in a flash.

I really enjoy the playoffs and this site is R3 heavy. Enjoyed watching PNG highlights with RJ a couple years ago but I dont have anyone in particular I follow. Cheered for Barbers Hill, PNG, and Crosby at different times these last few playoff seasons.

United definitely on the list. Intriguing and would like to see what year 2 brings with the coaching staff. I heard the up and coming talent in Beaumont is extremely high. Cheddars before and Deaux after doesn't sound bad. Best band in the area is a definite plus. Basketball is not a convincing arguement. Does that mean early exit to get ready for basketball season? How many basketball kids play football (I know Rivers)?

To each their own.. to me.. being ridiculed by unrealistic parents at the end of a working career doesn't offer the same satisfaction as you're describing. And that's exactly what it will be if they don't meet the mob's expectations. And a high school football team rarely does. So when that inevitably happens, whatever genius he may or not possess will be called into question. And that's fine if it's what he wants. Like I said.. to each their own.

One athlete who was truly worthy of the term “role model.” He was a hero of mine growing up, and happen-stance allowed me to meet him as a young man (I worked at a summer camp where a couple of his daughters worked, and his son and youngest daughter attended). Was one of those rare cases where the man met or even exceeded the image. What an incredible athlete and, even more important, human being.

What ever the young man wants to do for his future, I wish him the best. I am sure there will be a QB leading the Mustangs to victories next football season. The last time this happened WOS had a winning year. We all know that one player will not stop the pursuit.
