Being in a district with NS, Atascocita, King and WB you had better be able to put together stops when need be, they couldn't do it last year, prime example: the WB game. Go watch that game.

It’s all about what you want. If you want to watch Newton beat the crap out of teams you’ve never heard of, they’re a solid pick for an annual post season run. No food, though. At all. WOS is sparse on food as well, but always a playoff team. Silsbee has a consistently decent team, also, with marginally better chow. For the all around best package I’d pick PNG. Food is alright in mid county, the atmosphere is the best in the area hands-down, and you get one of the best rivalry games in the state with mid-county madness. Don’t let them lie about the stadiums. PNG’s top notch. HOWEVER, Bridge City can offer a stellar band performance, a statue commemorating our ‘66 State Championship, and a ceremonial flyover by the mosquito plane. Season tickets ARE still available, believe it or not.

Personality wise Coach Saveat is similar to Coach Rideaux and would fit that of the kids and parents coming in from the outside. Many of the kids would be familiar with his name and face being he's the former head coach at Ozen. But like I said the protect fit for the job would be the current assistant Coach. Young and very knowledgeable about the game. Was the JV coach so he's also familiar with all the young talent. He would also be looking to start his own legacy I believe and would be at HF for some years. Coach Knowles, who coached him in high school and is also on the coaching staff, is about as good as it gets as far as wisdom and knowledge to draw from.

I personally like the current assistant coach. Coach Cam is young and already has the relationship with my son and the other players. Of 3 named here, only Coach Saveat would fit the makeup of the school and players. Hopefully they keep Coach Cam. I'd like to see that preferably.

He won the mile as well in 4:26. He earned Onalaska 2nd place in the team standings for 3A. I am going to try to do research on it but I believe he is first athlete in state history to win all 3 distance races at the state meet.

Add a 5th place 4X100 finish at the state meet to the resume.
