People will go to where the jobs are, and as long as the Beaumont Port Arthur area has a large part of the population hostile to industry, and their largest schools are a wreck, stagnation and decline will continue. Companies know this. Sad thing is this bad attitude ends up hurting the good people living there that do want to work and grow. The rest are content to just hang out and collect government money for not working.

Agreed. They’re not many good paying jobs in the area anymore. The refinery’s only employee XX amount of full time employees and contract everything else to people who take no ownership of the area.

I don’t think so. Our major growth recently is in our lower level. About 6 more years is when I expect 6a.

LOL, there’s not one area 5A school that jump up to 6A and have a lot of success. 6A is way different football. Ask your Titans after combining 3 high schools, PA got knocked around, and then they dropped to 5A and can’t get out first round now. Lol

Traden you know your wasting your breath. Everyone outside of BH always know what’s going on, what we should do and how stupid we were for making decisions. I have a co-worker who’s son attends LCM and is going into the 10th grade next fall. He plays baseball and played football in jr high but not his freshman year. He said Peevey had a meeting with all parents of anyone in athletics and told them he had an open door policy but if the topic of why thier kid wasn’t playing enough or playing a different position then the conversation would be over. He Said the coach stated very throughly he would not tolerate that at all. We shall see. I hope the best for them, but it’s gonna take a culture change from the parents to make it happen.

I didn’t miss too many games last year. This year i think I might have even more of a reason to be there 😉
