A federal judge has ruled that the California ban on various assault weapons and magazines is unconstitutional. He brings up the obvious point that more people are killed with hands, feet and knives than with all types of rifles combined, much less whatever they deem as assault rifles. I. the judges opinion, true military weapons such as bazookas, artillery, machine guns, etc., can be banned but not what millions of Americans use in sporting activities and home defense. This will obviously go to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in California where the judge’s ruling will probably be overturned. The next step will be the Supreme Court of the United States. What the Dems have been doing to blacks since the 60’s is racism. In 1960, 20% of black children were born to a single parent. Now it’s about 70%. Not the type of progression anyone should be proud of. Note, in fairness, all races have increased some over that period. Not good for any of us.

Lots of changes for local teams. SFA MBB has lost its two top assistant coaches with coach Cox going to UTEP and Mason going to Georgia. No doubt that their salaries were doubled or tripled. Mason was a recruiting machine and will be missed for sure. Sometimes change is a positive thing for all parties... Looking forward to watching some good basketball in the WAC. Football will also be be very interesting.

They would be foolish to think that. Clearly BH has established themselves as a very good team. Having said all that I know Aledo expects to win. These girls grew up watching the softball program win back to back in '14 & '15. They believe its their turn. They have put in the work and are ready to write their own legacy! I still would have BH as the favorite but I know very well the will to compete in Aledo. These girls will be ready for tomorrow. Either way its been a great season for all the programs that made the tournament!

Oh, BTW -- nothing you've stated suppresses my vote in any way. I find out when I can go vote and I do. Unless you are trying to disguise it as racism?! Nobody's vote gets suppressed as long as the rules/laws are followed!

I don’t know the Superintendent or the AD that’s leaving. I do know half of the board who are the kinda people who you would want working for your kids whether it was youth sports or checkers. Warren has had some excellent AD/HC over the years that were average on the record books at Warren . One went to the staff at WOS I believe as the QB coach and helped the Mustangs win a State title or two. Another was dismissed and within a few days was on a staff in the NFL. There are more over the years who didn’t win at Warren. All these guys could coach. I haven’t been to many Warren athletic events over the last few years but I gotta say last year I went to check out a Varsity Basketball game. I was amazed to see the AD on the bench as an assistant coach . Maybe the AD got tired of wearing that hat . I don’t think you can blame Warrens lackluster record the last 6 years on the AD and I don’t think the school board sits around a coffee shop conspiring to run off a current or past coach. I think the parents and kids at Warren aren’t willing to put in the work in takes to be successful year in and year out. Until they decide to do that work Nick Sabin or Dabo Swinney couldn’t win there.

Control of the students. Loosen control of students and you get the 1978 graduating class of Nederland.
