  1. Are we really the UNITED States of America anymore? As of the last couple of years, I would answer no. The States are very divided on many issues, but none more than what this country was made of. Good people with Christian beliefs. To be 100% honest, Im more proud to be a Texan than I am to be an American.

  2. Instead of arresting these DEMONcrat, piece of crap politicians, I wish we could just ban them from ever entering the great state of TEXAS again. Leave their sorry butts in dc.

  5. We would have to do away with the United States of America. I’m almost there. States that handle their business shouldn’t have to support states that don’t. Also, states that are concerned about border security shouldn’t have to fund it themselves while at the same time other states are providing sanctuary cities.

  6. They’re so happy. Big publicity stunt. Instead of doing their jobs and voting yea or nay on the Voting Rights Bill, they leave. The irony, they run to a location that has less early voting than the Texas Bill. Abbott has threatened to arrest them when they return to Texas. I’m all for that. To put it in context, had these folks been at the Alamo, they’d been over the wall and hauling azz for Louisiana. It’s the Dem strategy. If they can’t get their way, like children, they run and hide. Texans? Not hardly. [Hidden Content]

    Critical race?

A term used a while back making reference to women (not so veiled reference to minorities in public housing) that are on generational welfare with kids from different men.

  9. Well, even though they look like a 6A HISD squad you would eventually figure they stop playing like one? I remember a year or two ago when I made a comment about the team's performance Soulja said they just needed some time. Maybe this is the time he was talking about? One thing for sure though, with all the talent in that program you shouldn't need a bunch of it.

    2021 DCTF 12-5A-D2 predictions

Yeah i’m not sold on Texas City, but I think PNG has adjusted that defense and will be back in the top 4. BH has a good lot coming back on the skill side, but time will tell if Abseck can get them going by district. Overall I don’t think you will see any team dominating district this year which will make for some good football 👍

  16. Alvarez took over Kirbyville in 2000 prior to that Kirbyville had a 25 game losing streak. In 3 years He led Kirbyville to their first playoff birth in 14 years and it only got better after that until he left for Ennis. That fits my definition of turning a program around.

  18. Awesome. I can think of a thousand more. The topic is so wide open that it is almost impossible to discuss. Not only can a State reject you from moving into the state based on..., can they reject you from leaving the State based on... If ruled that a State cannot reject you from leaving, can they still tax you based on your former citizenship? We might want to ask California. What I find most interesting is that when the colonies were debating on unionizing, i.e. forming the United States, that this topic was not discussed more thoroughly...then especially after independence was won. It makes sense though, considering any breathing body was an asset. No benefits existed at that time. The "what if's" will render the topic either dead on arrival or hotly debated for decades. (Exaggerated of course.) But that is the also the most intriguing part of the debate. What other scenarios will pose problems in implementation? What solutions can be implemented to facilitate the realization of such legislation? Should it even be considered?

  19. Interesting topic. It brings up a lot of questions: does one only become a citizen by being born in the state? Can the state reject your moving into the state based on your political beliefs? What about college students who want to attend college out of state? I can think of a dozen more

  21. Really? Are you whining about mistreatment? Do you feel like you have endured the same level of biased regimental abuse as Trump? One little (wrongly) perceived injustice and you cry like a baby. Do you fit the definition of what you would call a "Trumper"?

    Hagar’s Ramblings

I got to thinking, someone reading this might think I read poetry, which is okay for some, but it isn’t me. I read a series of books (Hamish MacBeth) about a Scottish Bobby, and the author starts off each Chapter with a poem or quote. So take a deep breath and relax, Old Hager is still the same illiterate country bumpkin he’s always been. 😂😂😂😂😂

  27. I have to say graduated in 1984 from TJ. All great teachers, even the ones I didn't like. My Favorites were Mr. Tolar, Mr Sell and Mr. Lee (who got me interested in computers and convinced me to take his computer class) while staying after school in his room, after being sent there by Mrs. McMillian for acting up in math class......lol

Man at memorial most teachers I knew cared I’m talking spending out there pockets for supplies. Staying late to help failing kids. Buying uniforms/backpacks for kids. Most teachers I had were true blessings. And I went to memorial. You can’t force someone else child to learn but they sure tried.

  30. Been in Florida the last couple of weeks. Have not been to Bolivar since the red signs were posted. Going down there next week though. This happens when there is a lot of rain. Fresh water drainage coupled with the warm waters in the Gulf causes the high bacteria count. Plus, some people are just not sanitary.

  34. For me it's watching those old guys who are barely able to stand but still doing so proudly for the anthem. It's Bob Dole struggling to stand and salute John McCain's casket. It's the belief that we're all a part of something that's much bigger than we are as individuals. It's recognizing the mistakes of the past and re-committing to make sure that "for all" really means for all. But if you hate America I can understand why you'd kneel.

  35. Port Arthur Memorial is preseason #18 in DCTF (thanks for the earlier post @WOSgrad ) Guilbeau is preseason all-state at DB. Pre-district schedule: Lancaster #16 5A D1 BH #19 5A D2 Crosby #12 5A D2 Lancaster is losing more than I originally thought they were losing off last year's team. The rankings don't mean anything after kickoff of Week-1, but just for giggles: Region 3 5A D1 has 7 teams in the preseason Top-25, 4 of which resides in 10-5A D1. This region (mostly 10-5A D1) is a BEAST.
