  3. Having been in quite a few verbal discussions (fisticuffs😄) with Liberals, it’s surprising how often they end up name calling or excessive use of cuss words. Always a sure sign that I’ve won the point. 😄😜😄

  4. If during the black national anthem a group of white folks all held up Confederate flags and waved the during the song, then put them up when the song was over........I guess you would not find that disrespectful......?

  5. If someone just wandered into the forum they might think we are discussing North Shore or Aledo or Katy here. What's Crosby made it out of the second round of the playoffs three times the last decade?

  6. I would normally be worried too but we have all the pieces to replace them. This year’s team is going to have more raw talent, they’re just going to be young. Season will depend on how fast they get up to speed? What I would point out is that before we played Nederland last year our average margin of victory in district play was 40ppg. It’s not like we were winning squeakers. Even with some regression does that mean we only win by 20ppg this year? I wouldn’t be surprised if we started 0-3 but I also wouldn’t be surprised if we started 3-0. By the way, I’m hearing we may have a new free agent from 21-6A to help ease some of the losses on defense. Goes about 6-3 215lbs and will line up at OLB.

    Bias Media?

Anyone that doesn’t believe in Media bias, please explain how the MSM ran with the Russian Collusion story for three years, and it was ultimately proven false. Fake news, for three years, and they want to chastise FOX? Please, give me a break.

    Critical race?

I think everyone on here agrees that there is plenty of racial history in these United States. CRT is not trying to address those issues, however. CRT is based on the premise that race is not a natural, biologically grounded feature of physically distinct subgroups of human beings but a socially constructed (culturally invented) category that is used to oppress and exploit people of color (namely, blacks). Critical race theorists hold that the law and legal institutions in the United States are inherently racist insofar as they function to create and maintain social, economic, and political inequalities between whites and nonwhites, especially blacks. In other words, there is no fixing anything. Any white person is inherently racist and no blacks will ever be given a fair opportunity.

    Bias Media?

I agree, Smash. That’s why it is incumbent upon responsible citizens to check sources and read from different points of view before forming their own opinions. Don’t believe it just because so-and-so said it.

  17. So all of these democrats who are talking about voting machine fraud after an election are numbskulls. Shouldn’t the left on this board be saying “It’s Over”….”Forget It”….”Deal With It”? Now those same democrats are blocking voting audits in swing states. Isn’t that ironic? What say you Big Girl?

  19. It's hard to get too excited until we actually see him play. The biggest question for me on defense was if we could find two more d-linemen to go with Casey? Next question behind that was "who replaces Michael Ray?". I think this kid could possibly be a bigger/faster version of him? Really don't know until we see what the new defensive staff has in store though.

  21. It is what it is. North Shore has robbed a bunch of Channelview and CE King kids over the years. Katy has done it to their entire district. Allen and Desoto have been notorious landing spots for DFW free agents, Duncanville is now that team. On a less notable level Dobie has robbed PISD squads of talent for years. If you're good they'll start coming. I'm not aware of any Baytown kids that will start for Crosby this year? We have a couple of transfers from Humble ISD this year, one looks he's going to be a stud and one looks like he's already folded under the competition. People can beat their chest all they want about having all homegrown talent. When you're lined up across from squads like FB Ridge Point, FB Marshall, Pearland Dawson, Manvel, Cedar Park, Aledo, etc. getting your behind whipped with their transfers that sentiment changes real fast.

  24. Absolutely, Clay is the Man! Yes, at Jasper I don't know if he cut those returning starter players; or they left rather than meet his tough standards. And yes, he still won the district! I grieved when he left Jasper.

  25. There's all kinds of crazy rumors out there, I've seen Clemson, FSU and Miami wanting into the SEC. Conference USA brass chimed in today with a statement basically saying without saying they're open for business. I'm waiting on the Pac12 to release a similar statement soon. It'll calm down middle-to-late August. Only thing that's true is OU & UT not waiting til 2025 to join the SEC, they want in after the school year ends, and they'll have the money to do it.

  26. Latest rumors are Ohio State and Michigan are wanting to make move to SEC. I have a feeling this is a start to building enough power to break away from the NCAA.

    Bias Media?

[Hidden Content] From the article: NBC News anchor Chuck Todd dismissed the notion that there is a liberal bias in the media as a Republican talking point that has been repeated so many times that the left now believes it – but he wishes his mainstream media colleagues fought back to combat the theory. "I think objectivity and fairness are not the same thing in some ways. You can’t define objectivity as sort of being equal, that we know. You can’t balance the truth, that we know," Todd told The Verge editor-in-chief Nilay Patel when asked how he maintains a sense of fairness. "So you have to be fair and have an open mind," Todd added. "Where we did get lost in this, and this sort of happened to mainstream media in particular, is that we did let Republican critics get in our heads, right? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  29. Nederland has 4/5 starters returning for 2021 OFFENSE The Bulldogs will have a relatively young squad as only 4 starters return to the multiple set offense in 2021. The backfield should see some new faces as senior Luke Broussard currently has the lead in the quarterback battle and will be joined by senior Ethan Fobbs. The Bulldog receiver corp has a solid foundation to build around as senior wide receiver Kyndon Fuselier (12-5A-II District MVP, Honorable Mention TSWA All-State) returns. The skills group will be operating behind a veteran offensive line lead by seniors Mike Marshall (1st team all-district) and Holder Craver (2nd team all-district) as well as junior lineman Jack Bieber. DEFENSE Five starters return to the Nederland 4-2-5 defense in 2021. The front line will be formed around junior Landon Caywood (2nd team all-district in 2021) and senior Jacob Kotz and will feature the return of senior lineman Gabe Lopez from injury in 2020. Senior inside linebacker Jaice Beck (1st team all-district) will head a linebacker crew which will also feature outside linebacker Kaydon Gonzales. Senior cornerback Steven Bourgeois (1st team all-district in 2021) will lead a secondary which will also feature Fuselier.

  32. If the Big12-4 wants to keep the conference afloat I could see them reaching out to Nebraska and Colorado, but I think the ship has sailed for Mizzou, the money too good in the SEC. I like the idea of adding UofH and Memphis to make the number fit the conference name again, hell it made sense to add those two schools years ago but I believe a certain school in-state wanted nothing to do with UofH, at least that's what was told to me. 🤷🏾‍♂️

  33. Ironically, the man with the most right to be offended over this situation was Louis Sockalexis, one of the first American Indians to play major league baseball, who played for Cleveland. The team first dawned the American Indian mascot in honor of him. Wonder what he'd have to say about this situation.

    Cleveland Guardians

Baseball is steeped in tradition. The appeal of baseball is that it is unchanged and a constant throughout generations. It is great memories of our dads teaching us to play and throwing in the backyard. The Cleveland Indians are a historic organization and this just stinks. In 53 years I have never once thought about the name being offensive. I think of Major League, Jim Thome and the playoff series where the bugs swarmed the field, and lots of good memories. Keep on driving the divisive wedge and maybe next we can go after: 1) Mariners (they kill poor defensive sea creatures), 2) Brewers (drunk driving kills), 3) A’s (Being athletic is exclusionary), 4) Padres (Separation of church and MLB), 5) Rangers (They killed Indians), 6) Yankees (Some northern owned slaves) and on and on and on and on……if you want to be offended nowadays jump on a platform. Ridiculous!!!!!!!
