  2. It’s my understanding that Lumberton’s new baseball coach, wait sorry, new head football coach is not playing a single starter both ways. If you have the personnel to do that - go for it. But if you’re a team that struggles to win, like Lumberton last year, then don’t you agree that you should start your best 11 on all 3 components of the game and sub in when they need rest? I’m not just speaking for Lumberton, they’re my unfortunate example.

  4. I think it’s plenty of blame to go around from bush Obama trump and Biden. Other then that, what was we doing the last 20 years we spent all that money lost 1000+ soldiers and they took it like nothing. I’m just curious what was the game plan.

  6. I have noticed that too, last season was stressful with all the quarantine and evacuation going on at the start of the season. I have heard nothing but good things about this group of kids though, excellent turnout during all of the offseason workouts. Who really knows if they will be better than last years team but they might have a better end result if they catch a few of the breaks we couldn't capitalize on last year. RBs and LBs should be strengths this year, got the nose guard covered we'll have to see who wins out at both DE positions and most of the secondary. O-line will be young but should be solid and the new QB will be exciting to watch.

  8. Oh man is it football season again already... got my season tickets ready. Got to catch all the home games and have to make it to this scrimmage every year. Turns out I was a year early with my Vidor 4A district champs prediction last season, this is definitely the team that gets it done.

Put your best 11 on the field

W.o has been doing it since the late 80's and it still works today.

  10. thank you 1st time was bad. Pretty much like having the flu but it lasted 12 days, fever as high as 103.7 and it took me a couple months to get back to running my normal mileage. I was constantly spitting green mucus for those months....felt like an elephant was on my chest. This was dec 2019 before the coronavirus actually got wide spread.... they couldn’t diagnose me....just said you have something similar to the flu. Only meds I took was ibuprofen. Drank a lot of Gatorade, apple cider vinegar, pedilyte 2nd time wasn’t bad at all...low grade fever few days. 3rd time wasn’t bad either low grade fever, Only ran fever in the evening, muscle aches, some loss of appetite, sweet tasting food was extra sweet, but was able to continue to work in the humid heat of setx. After 2 1/2 to 3 weeks I couldn’t take deep breathes without coughing. When I went outside my skin became very clammy and I sweat profusely...got to were I couldn’t be outside for more than 30 min without the feeling of suffocation, fever started spiking to 102.5, coughing up blood with mucus...wife finally told me to go see dr. After the 2 1/2 weeks I mentioned above Covid turned into pneumonia. Covid was nothing the pneumonia was whipping my tail. Still not 100% but a lot better than I was. Dr said more than likely that if I would ve taken it easy during the 1st 2 weeks and not going from the heat to the AC to the heat that the pneumonia probably wouldn’t have set in, but having a small farm there is no such thing as taking it easy. crazy thing is out of the other 6 people in my house none of them got sick or at least didn’t show symptoms....except my wife (we both had it together the 1st and 2nd times, she didn’t get it the 3rd time like I did.) All in all. I’m 3-0 versus Covid as far as not needing dr or meds. And I’m 0-1 vs pneumonia. And in my opinion my immune system is now equipped to fight this manufactured virus.....

    Life ain't easy

I lost a really good friend last week. Apparently life got real bad for him. Nobody has the answers to so many questions. Nobody knew the stress he had. Nobody can analyze the actions he took. Nobody can justify what happened. The things I wish I could've done to help. But it's too late to go back now. So I'll get to the point of this post... If anyone feels like they could end it all, please seek help. Reach out to someone, anyone, even me. Tomorrow isn't promised for any of us. Live everyday like it's your last. Sorry but I had to get this off my chest.

  12. How were you having to deal with Twitter tantrums? Did it affect your ability to live a normal life? I bet you REALLY didn’t have to deal with them at all. This is just some talking point you heard from some lib news source. Deal with Twitter tantrums, good grief Charlie Brown. Guess you really are a snowflake!!

  17. Could you say that person died as a result of his/her cancer? For instance, my Dad died from heart attacks brought on by pneumonia which was brought on by his cancer. I feel comfortable saying he died from Cancer, although (to your point) he technically died from heart attacks brought on by pneumonia.

  19. I like a guy that knows his high school football history. If it was lonestar they was missing some scores. I think it’s going to be 14-15 LCM leads. Also tell your buddy that the 90’s wasn’t good for Vidor against LCM they won one game in 99😂. But anyways good luck on the season I’m not area anyways. Let’s go Tigers!

  21. They couldn’t block him but we lost that game somehow... so many games our D played great and still took the L. Hopefully they have the offense figured out this season. I’m hearing there’s no more tinkering around with pistol or shotgun snaps, just straight up old school under center slot-t with a more capable passing game mixed in. 3 years in a row the offense has been off just enough to cost us games, we’ll see if they have returned to form. Changing quarterbacks each season probably didn’t help, they need to find a kid who can run it for a few years. I’ll be watching the special teams too as that was a huge problem that directly cost us a couple wins last year. I hope to see a tradition punt formation, no more scramble and squib 20 yard punts or pooch kicks that put your defense in terrible field position every time. Also hope to see a capable punt returner and kicking game.

    Jaylon Guilbeau

Texas out of it. It'll be TCU unless Bryce convinces him to go to A&M. The Aggies have of chance at having Anderson, Guilbeau, and Harris of North Shore in this class.

  23. When you realize that those guys have been at each others' throats since the time of Alexander the Great it adds a little perspective. I definitely can't claim to have the answers, but I'm certain that a nuclear device is NOT a good idea. I CAN state with almost certainty that we haven't lost a single troop in Afghanistan in over 18 months. It wasn't much of a war, if you catch my drift. Our presence in Korea, Japan, and even Afghanistan has kept the "bad guys" in check. But once we pull out, there isn't anybody left to keep the "bad guys" (in this case, the TaliBiden) from overrunning the country. While I place a TON of the blame on Afghans who were unwilling to fight the Taliban, I also recognize that without our support, they wouldn't be able to win against the TaliBiden. I disagreed with Trump's push to leave the Afghanistan just for the sake of leaving, and I totally disagreed with Biden's abandonment of our allies, many of whom now face certain, horrific death.

  24. I hate the term anti-vaxxer. I have been inoculated all my life but it was with vaccines that had been tested, sometimes for years before FDA approval. Even though I was behind Warp Speed, I lost interest with all the misinformation about Covid and came to my senses about testing. Love me, hate me, my decision.

  38. Open your eyes.... we went from "our diversity is our strength" in the early 2000s to "how DARE you appropriate our culture!" Those Indian community is too busy complaining about perceived slights and imagined insults instead of fixing the real problems in their own communities. The Chief COULD be worried about rampant drug use, alcoholism, poverty, violence against women, poor educations, etc... but he's offended that some community a thousand miles away honors his tribe's history. Makes perfect sense to me.

  40. Sounds like a good scrimmage on both sides. PN-G gave the Stangs what they needed, a good test. A PN-G observer with a doctorate in Officiation said the WOS line held every play. The guy is evidently legit, I checked him out on dollartreediplomas.com. If this is the case however that will need to be cleaned up. This offense could be dynamic. Once the rubber bullets are put back on the shelf the WOS D will be the WOS D.

  41. I thought Vidor looked good especially on offense, quick off the ball, ball carriers are hard nosed and hard to bring down and had alot of YAC unlike the past few years. QB threw about 6 or 7 passes and only had a few incompletions. He also has great vision and very speedy. But had some miscues with false starts and fumbles which was expected in the first scrimmage. Defense looked salty like expected, Buna scored on a long pass play on their second drive. I don't think they crossed the 50 yard line maybe twice all night. But WOS will be a much better measuring stick next week!

    WOS VS PNG Scrimmage

It went about like I figured it would. Offense ahead of the D at this point. "Blown coverages" means the secondary "needs work" just fyi. 🤣 I like seeing the quick passes in space and letting our athletes be athletes. The new QB has a quick release with accuracy which is vital for those type of plays to work and has been missing the last few yrs. Downfield passing will have to get better, but I believe that will come. If we can spread the ball around like that we'll be hard to deal with. Not that worried about the defense. The PNG offense is pretty dynamic and is a tough assignment for a young D. You know they'll be where they need to be when it matters. T and Pierce will get the pieces in place. Thought it was a good dress rehearsal for both.
