On a completely unrelated note about church vans… when I was in high school I went to FBC Bevil Oaks. During that time they sold our church van and got a new one. The guy who bought the old van was supposed to remove the church name from the van, but never got around to it. He apparently had quite the drinking problem, because people kept calling our church to report that the van was parked at Lucky Liquor. Us high schoolers got to calling the new van “The Lucky Liquor II”, much to the fake outrage of our youth pastor.3 points

I know most of us don’t like watching an 8 min video, but if you have time, take the time. Btw, this Brit, Tom Tugendhat, is no armchair politician. He spent 10 years in the British Army and several of those in Afghanistan before getting out as a Lt Colonel. He was decorated by the 82nd Airborne. [Hidden Content]2 points -
Since when does the Education Dept really have any power to dictate to local school districts anything??!! Jimma carter created this in the late 70's as a payoff to school unions for their support! This, along with the Energy Dept, also created by Jimma, should have been done away with a long time ago! Both colossal waste of taxpayer money! Why the mask talk and not much on the fiasco? Because the mask part is easy. The total fiasco in Afghanistan is to hard for the "not ready for prime time" players! We have seen the results of their incompetency!!2 points

But don't forget. ID requirements for voting is racist. Also don't worry about the 40k US citizens stuck in Afghanistan. We'll send them their mail in voting ballots.2 points

Lol. I think the school board gave up on a football head coach. Lol. I’ll still be supporting our boys though. I’ll be at every home game hopefully. My baby boy is a freshman at UMHB. I doubt he will play this year, so I’ll still be able to watch my Raiders.1 point -

12-0-1, semifinal game vs San Marcos was tied 21-21, but the Rattlers advanced to play Palestine in the championship game with a 5-4 edge in penetrations. Second tie breaker was first downs and the third was total yardage. Vidor had a significant advantage in both of those. The 2011 Montana Quirante led team would be a close second IMO.1 point -

Crosby vs Angleton Scrimmage
Mr. Buddy Garrity reacted to purple reign for a topic
Angleton will have a pass heavy offense this year, though they will run some too. Last year they were transitioning to a spread from the wing-t and didn't get the spring and summer drills to make the change because of covid. Angleton does have a player on Dave Campbell's Class of 2023-Top 100 list, Kariyen Goins who transferred from Brazosport. Angleton's QB, Ewells, is a sophomore who started the last part of 2020 as a freshman. Last year's early starter at QB is still there but has been moved to wr. Goins was a QB at Brazosport but will play wr/fs at Angleton. There is a video of highlights and stats from Angleton's scrimmage with Columbia on Maxpreps and Hudl. It is the one marked "Recap..." and not the one marked "Highlights..." which appears to be from a subvarsity scrimmage. Ewells is wearing #3 at the scrimmage, with #11 at QB being a backup.1 point -

Dems the rules. If you win District or come in 2nd, you get a home game 1st round. Remember, Dave Campbell had that team pick 4th last year and I was thinking the same but was pleasantly surprised when FW and LP didn't live up to previous rep. Anyway, calm down and just watch1 point -

TECHNICALLY, I didnt drive to these but longest I've traveled for a HS football game As a fan, Beaumont to Aldine to watch Central vs Bay City 2003 playoffs. That Central team should have gone to state. One of the best high school defenses I ever saw. As a player, Beaumont to Katy. For West Brook vs Katy.1 point -

That was a shared championship. PNG beat Vidor, PAM beat PNG, Vidor beat PAM. But honestly, Vidor’s win over PaM was huge. Without it, PAM had the championship outright, but Vidor forced them to share and let PNG in with them. Very considerate of Vidor.1 point

JC got the chance and took it due to injuries with the RB's. Now If KJ was a 10/10, he's an 7 or 8/10. Kid wanna play now and maybe start mid season or next year. at UT, he will wait and see garbage time.1 point -

Sorry your comprehension is lacking. I was simply reminding you that Vidor has been in 4A before not that our record was better against LCM. But recent history (past few years, not 20+ years ago) would suggest that if we played LCM every week then Vidor would be state champs!1 point -

First of all, this fiasco is 100% owned by Joebama. The President, Vice President and Press secretary are all on vacation while this disaster was happening. If this was happening while Trump was president, can you imagine the field day the press would have?! I saw him say this last night on TV: From the article: "“I told him (Taliban leader) up front, I said, “Look, up front, before we start, let me just tell you right now that if anything bad happens to Americans or anybody else or if you ever come over to our land, we will hit you with a force that no country has ever been hit with before, a force so great you won’t even believe it,’” Trump said. "If anything bad happens to Americans or anybody else we will hit you w/ a force that no country has ever been hit w/ before. A force so great you won't even believe it. And your village, and we know where it is, and I named it, will be the first one."" You can believe Joebama NEVER said anything like this!! [Hidden Content]1 point

Hagar reacted to thetragichippy for a topic
Big Girl.....you seem to suggest Republicans did not want to leave Afghanistan. Trump did set up the deal. If Biden didn't like the deal, he could of renegotiated.....or hell, he could of did the opposite like he does with all other Trump policies.....but he didn't. The intelligence was faulty and the method was faulty. I'm no military expert, but maybe they should of got the citizens and Afgan's out BEFORE the military.......1 point -

Then on Monday, I returned to Norway. In 1998, I flew from Dammam Saudi Arabia, 7,927 miles, to see Tenaha play Wheeler for the Class A Championship game in Ft Worth.1 point
