It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that Todd passed away this afternoon at 4:20pm at the Memorial Herman Hospital Houston after a battle with Covid-19. As most of you know, Todd joined the SETx sports family in 2005 as WOSgrad. Todd's work behind the scenes putting together scores, rankings, schedules and most of the online administrator tasks for the site are one of the reasons the site is successful today. Together we have spent many hours working, prepping, laughing, and sometimes cussing and discussing. Todd was a kind, soft spoken man with a passion for all things high school sports. My heart is broken at this news and very difficult for me to talk. I had a feeling that the worst would happen and it did. Words cannot express my sadness at losing my dear friend. The coming days are going to be long and hard, and it just won't be the same without him. My wife has been in contact with his sister's family and will keep us posted on pending funeral arrangements. He leaves behind his wife Rebecca and his beloved Bassett Hound, Sadie. Todd was a heart transplant recipient and has battled to stay healthy since receiving his heart. The Broussard family will need our support and prayers in the coming days. Please continue to stay safe during this pandemic, and if you can't do it for yourself, then do it in honor of Todd. Feel free to post a kind word, thought, story, or memorial so that we can share with Rebecca and family.

I think the best example of this is when Kamala Harris replied when asked if she was going to get the vaccine, “…if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I'm not taking it.”

Looks like Dallas Kimball is stacking up for a possible rematch with Beaumont United for the state championship. Arterio Morris had left Kimball to attend Ischool in Lewisville but after Keyonte George left to attend IMG he has decided to return to Kimball. But he also grabbed ischools highly ranked guard trae Clayton to come to kimball. Also hearing Kimball grabbed two more players one from family faith (not Jordan Walsh who's gone to cali) and another from Coppell ( not anthony black whos headed to Duncanville). Man I thought greater Houston kids were moving and shaking. WOW!!!

I'm looking for improvement in this game, from what I have seen and been told, we are making to many mistakes. I wanna see fight and effort no matter the score. This game is prep for District. When you have a Successful Program within your Area and close classification, You should try to get them on your schedule. As old District foes, I'm glad we have Newton on the schedule for a real game, no matter the outcome. I'll be there routing for my Son and my Eagles.

I still think Woodville is going to surprise a lot of people. It will take more than 2 scrimmages to get Offense to gel. But they better get it together quick. There is absolutely no excuse for all the stinking turnovers..!!! Players have get to hold on to the stinking ball and STOP throwing it to the other team. Defense has some work to do as well, defense looked just as horrible in this last scrimmage. They better stop people from scoring so much, they were getting ripped through like wet toilet paper. Now as far as this game against Newton, I think Newton will be way too seasoned for this Woodville team. Woodville looks undisciplined right now. Seems like some of the players just do what they want to...? 1 thing I do agree with is that Woodville looked out of shape, and that comes from too many kids missing during the summer workouts. Anyway... I think Newton will have too many seasoned players, from a prominent program with lots of game experience being in the fire. I hope I'm wrong, but I'll say Newton by 3 TD's.

Mask are helpful although not 100% effective. How effective? IDK but it doesn’t hurt to wear one unless you have breathing issues or something. Vaccines aren’t 100% effective either and are causing allergic reactions for some folks.

Just saw where the Dims were scoffing at the vaccine while Trump was President. More than one, including biden and his vp, were dead set against it. One dimwit said that the vaccine needed to checked to make sure Trump’s fingerprints were not on it. There has never been a more two-faced bunch than the Dims of today. Funny how all of a sudden, as soon as biden “wins”, they want to start pushing the vaccine. A truly disgusting group!!

We lost one of the best today. Prayers for his family, friends, and all the fellow Setxsports members. Da Warden will be missed.

When I started as just a member on SETXSPORTS.COM my boys were both playing football and basketball for Evadale. I was the PA announcer as well, so I signed on as Rebel Yeller. I moved to the press box at Kirbyville after my wife started teaching there. After one season I responded to an invite to do the Wildcats play by play from SETXSPORTS.COM. it was then that I began to message and talk to Todd. He has assisted me and everyone else on the website and the broadcasts. Todd and I did an entire day on air from the Evadale basketball tournament in 2019 as he was beginning to consider doing games himself. We did a Jasper game last season as well. Todd did so much and he will be missed not just because of what he did for the website , but as a great guy and a true friend. We all lost a special guy today and the impact of his loss will be felt for a long time. To Todd's wife and family our thoughts and prayers are with you. And to Todd, I hope that they have high school sports in heaven, because we know how much the athletes and the schools of South East, Texas.

I mentioned the drop off in the run game from what we’ve seen the last several years BEFORE last night’s scrimmage. It’s really a shame too, because we have a huge O-Line to run behind. Hopefully, someone will step up. I think the defense is okay but there’s been a few mixups in the secondary. Bottom line to me is this… if we don’t find a reliable run game, then we don’t beat good teams. I certainly classify WOS as a good team.

I’m glad he’s back too. Would love to see that rematch as long as the result is the same. So Arterio and Keyonte George were going to combine to form the best HS backcourt in the country. The heavy rumor floating this summer was they were both also going to commit to Texas and Chris Beard. Arterio commits in July. Then recently Keyonte commits to Baylor. Shortly thereafter, Arterio decides to return to Kimball. Would be very curious as to what precipitated what.
