Where do I begin… I just don’t have the strength. I’ll simply say I voted for Trump, I’d vote for him again and again. That said, I hope he doesn’t run. I think sensitive types can’t handle him and won’t vote for him. We are so wussified it’s ridiculous. But we are where we are. DeSantis would be an excellent replacement though. Maybe Kristi Noem as VP since women of power seem to be appealing.3 points -

But no one seems to bat an eye when folks worship sports stars and wear their name on the back. Or folks that live their lives through celebrities and react as if they're best friends when something happens to them. Celebrity worship has been around a long time, I've always thought it was weird.2 points -

I can agree with you on this one, some of this is strange. I would have never voted for him if he hadn't been the only choice and I sure don't think he's any kind of moral example but I was pleasantly surprised with the job that he did and would love to have that back over what we have now. I do see folks that seem to have a cult like following with the guy and folks like myself seem to get lumped in with that group just because we approved of the job he did and have the audacity to say we would rather have him back than Biden. lol, I've been accused of flying the Trump flag, wetting myself when he rants, worshipping the guy and being responsible for the Jan 6 riots. Those nuts are out there but I ain't one of them. I will continue to unashamedly say that I think the guy did a great job as POTUS.2 points -
There were several women who irritated British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. One was Lady Astor, ever a thorn in his side. During their conversation one evening, Lady Astor became so exasperated with Churchill she exclaimed, “Winston, if i were your wife i'd poison your soup“ He replied without missing a beat, “Nancy, if i were your husband, I’d eat it.” Gotta love Churchill.2 points

Hitler? Blind loyalty? Good grief! I would vote for Trump hands down again if I had the chance, not out of undying loyalty (I don't even like the guy) but because I like the way the country was going when he was in office as opposed to what we have now. Is what happened at the capitol worse that what's happening in Afghanistan and at the border? I'll answer...no.2 points -
When Trump ran against hillary I didn't vote for either party. I knew I didn't want hillary as president but I wasn't sure about Trump so I didn't vote. After 4 years of President Trump, and the things that he did for America, I knew that I would vote for him when he ran the 2nd time. If he runs a 3rd time he will get my vote as well. But to be honest, if Mickey Mouse ran for the Presidency, I would vote for him instead of biden/harris or any other combination of DEMONcrats that they can put together. I will never understand how any American can vote for what we have now instead of Trump. This is by far the worst administration, ever, in United States history. They are the biggest lying, hypocritical, do nothing positive for America pieces of crap that I've ever seen. biden can't even hold a press conference without his puppet masters telling him what he can and can not say. Heck, the British prime minister took questions from the media, in the oval office but hiden biden refused. There are thousands of illegals flooding Texas right now, because biden invited them, and the best this administration can do is ban drones from flying and taking pictures/videos. This administration claims that covid is a major problem. They are trying to force Americans to be vaccinated by banning us from flights, restaurants, and so forth but allow illegals to spill into the country without being vaccinated. They try to force social distancing and the use of masks but hold party's and award shows with no social distancing or mask use. I despise the DEMONcrat party and all they stand for, which is absolutely nothing. I hope the people of the U.S.A see what's going on and make major changes as soon as possible!!!2 points

I agree with pretty much all of this. But what is really stranger than the people that worship Trump, is the people that despise Trump. According to the election results, the people that hate Trump far outnumber the people who love him. So why do the worshippers get all the negative publicity, but the haters get a pass? (Rhetorical question...we know why.)1 point -
My apologies. Quoting your post was probably not the best approach to the topic, but my attention was to point out that nothing cost Silsbee those games other than the level they were playing at the time. Both losses were due to loss of focus and conditioning. Not a good combination for young players. The "accept it" phrase was not directed at you personally. Just addressing the number of statements that placed blame on anything but the reasons I just mentioned. And yes, we are on the same team. #TigerNation1 point

This might be political but since it’s the Ramblings of an old man, probably better here. This post is about who should be voting. There are two things that I’ll use to preface - First, The Bible, 2 Thessalonians 3:10, essentially, “if a man does choose not to work, he shall not eat”. So if you don’t have skin in the game, you go hungry. Second, the (goofy) movie Starship Troopers, a futuristic tale of earth fighting arachnids in space, but the thing was, only veterans got to vote. Our brilliant Founding Fathers never anticipated folks living on welfare. Had they, I’m convinced they would’ve enacted rules for who can vote. Take a local school board election. People living on the dole turn out and vote, but they don’t pay school taxes. If you don’t pay school taxes, why should you have a hand In electing people who might want to raise taxes? If you don’t pay, you have no skin in the game. Same thing for National Elections. If you don’t pay income tax, you don’t vote. To me, that makes perfect sense. But realistically, it’ll never happen. Never accuse our current politicians of having much sense. In Congress we have 535 people. I doubt their collective “sense” would equal those of the 56 who signed the Declaration of Independence.1 point

I don't think it's very hard to understand why people support/vote for Trump. It's not because they like him, it's because they like what he has done as President. I don't know very much about Donald Trump, the man, but I do like the majority of his policies as President Trump. On the other hand I don't know very much about biden, harris, pelosi, schumer, abc or any other member of the squad but I despise their policies and what they are doing as President.1 point -

Same.... like how does a 71 year old retired Pentecostal Lady end up feeling that Trump was sent here by God to save us from the Left? He's one of the most immoral presidents that we've ever had. So much love for Melania by the ultraconservatives.... you know, the ones who say Michelle Obama is really a man. Did you think we'd ever have a First Lady whose nudes are readily available on the internet? I sure didn't.... and I NEVER would have believed that her and her husband would be the darlings of the ultraconservatives! WTH? Bizarro World, I tell you.1 point -
I have no doubt on that. But he was recruited as a QB and volunteered to play RB and will now likely find himself playing at the next level. So to say he was being recruited out of high school as a RB was not correct.1 point

I have actually questioned a couple of dispatchers before, asking why they joined. I appreciate them donating money that we get to spend. I have heard them give the argument I gave above, they can be provided with a lawyer. Follow up was, yes but you have no rights other than federal law which is an EEOC discrimination in which case you don’t really need a lawyer. Our officers are covered by state law under civil service which covers hiring, promotions and all kinds of things and then by our collective bargaining agreement. Basically we have tons of rights and they have none except discrimination. But, I do appreciate their monthly donation to our association/union.1 point -
Considering that WOS doesn't shoot the ball all that well, there may be quite a bit of zone run on them by many teams in district. Silsbee won't do this, but IMO Silsbee's swarming defense is going to give the other guards of WOS fits. Size is negated when you turn the ball over before they can get the ball to them.1 point

Honestly? No.... to most people he's a cartoon character come to life, but somehow idolized by people who you'd expect to despise him. I know a handful of Pentecostal people who whole-heartedly support Trump. Despite the 8 abortions he paid for, confessed sexual assaults, foul language, infidelities, "Corinthians Two," etc..... I used to wonder how Hitler rose to power. Blind loyalty.... that's the answer, and there are a lot of people walking around with undying loyalty to Trump. Heck, a few thousand of them ransacked the Capitol back in January.1 point -

I've been watching his highlights and reading as much as I can find about him. Great all-around game. TX Hoops nailed it...TA keeps his teammates in the flow...and he plays defense (not much defense by some of the kids on the AAU circuit, but TA plays defense). Not to mention his ability to score...to jump up and shoot over people or create space for an open jumper. Love his game. As a UH alum, I am excited that Coach Sampson was able to make a connection with TA. Kellen Sampson is amped up on Twitter and social media. TA could be a game changer right away. Solja - I hope you are right...I hope TA grows to 6'8". Can you imagine a 6'8" guy with those skills? He may be a one and done to at most two and done recruit. I'm not a hardcore NBA guy, but everything I read about TA says he has NBA talent. Beaumont United has a new fan...me!1 point -

I don't know who the next Republican presidential nominee will be, but we already know a few things about him/her. The nominee will be racist (even if he is Black), will be misogynistic (even if she's a woman), will be xenophobic, will hate immigrants, will hate gay/transgender people, and will hate anyone that fits into a minority category. These are undeniable certainties. I hope the next nominee gets banned from social media in order to protect those who levy these accusations. We don't want the next candidate to be labeled a bully. That will surely turn off the "moderates" and doom the candidacy.1 point -
Several things about this statement. (1) Silsbee lost. Youth played a big part. Accept it. (2) Silsbee Coach does not prevent the QB from running. QB choice most of the time. 3) WR depth is deep. Not sure of best players not playing because the ones on field during these games are pretty dang good. Jmo1 point

Rivalry games…. You never know. I will go out on a limb and say this much. PNG will need to get it together for the W. We have some key players back from injury which should help tremendously. But, we will need to score some points in order to make this a game. If we are playing from behind, we just do not have the firepower to make it a shoot out. But as far as history goes, this game usually proves history wrong. 20 in a row. 7 in a row, 4 out of 5, means absolutely zilch…. So whatever team is prepared, usually takes it home.1 point -
