Orangefield, Silsbee , Vidor ....not in any particular order. Orangefield has a lot coming back and will be tough to beat. Silsbee is pretty loaded pitching and hitting 3 returning seniors in Hartman, Youngblood and Sundgren and A loaded Jr class Glaze, Simmons, Wise and Mitchell .....little bias but I'll take Silsbee to win district 😁

Man an Evadale - Colmesneil matchup would be must-see. Those teams hate each other. Last time Evadale played at Colmesneil (if I recall correctly), there was a scrum the first drive. There were several players kicked out and as a Bulldog player was walking off he saluted the Rebel sideline. Now, I’m quite sure something caused his reaction from the Rebel players, but it was heated. Again, if I recall correctly the coach (at the time) for Colmesneil had backed out of some games and tried to get other teams to back out of the Rebel schedule. Game would probably be played at Jasper and would be a fun playoff game. If I’m wrong please let me know.

So, I'm no fan of Alec.....but I do have a question. There have been a handful of people killed by real bullets in "prop guns".....Since a prop gun shoots real bullets, they would be a real gun.......right? Why can't they make a "prop gun" that can't fire standard bullets.......and if they use real guns, why let any real bullets on the set? Seems the easy fix is to not allow real bullets on the same property with prop guns.....

I’m no math whiz but I think a victory in this game will almost cinch the Pirates getting the #1 seed in District, plus give them an opportunity to win the DC outright. A win here and a loss to Ltown would make Tri-Champs with Vidor, LCM & Ltown, but Vidor beats LCM by 17 & LCM beats Ltown by 2, so Raiders would have to beat Pirates by 15 or 16 (just guessing here) to change order of finish. If Vidor loses to HH, virtually no chance of a stand alone DC. To sum it up, it’s all on the line Friday. C’mon Pirates, win this durn game.

A lot of people stayed home or went to see the Astros play. But, attendance is declining from the years past. A lot of people, after they graduate are moving away for better paying jobs then what they can here. Therefore we are getting people moving in either being transferred for their job or coming down here for construction work. Those people weren’t born and raised in the traditions of PNG so their kids don’t understand it. Therefore they don’t take interest in all of it. I was born and raised here and my family has had season tickets for over 45 years. These move ins don’t understand it used to be impossible to get season tickets unless they were passed down in families or someone was giving up their tickets because they either moved or passed away. Hate to say it but things aren’t changing for the good.

A second? I talk about timing all the time particularly and did so particularly when I was working. A car going 60 miles an hour goes approximately 90 feet a second. In 1/10 of one second her vehicle went about 9 feet. If she would have entered that space and 1/10 of a second earlier or 1/10 of a second later, she would’ve never been hit. When people get in a car accident and the other person ran a stop sign but maybe hit the back passenger door where no one was at, they will say something like, I was in a bad wreck but I did not get hurt or maybe got a couple of bruises. Yeah…… but if you had entered that intersection 1/30 of second earlier, we would be calling you a ride to the morgue. Life is literally that close in time.
