Hate to put Mrs. Brister on the spot. But, folks she is the one that made this MIRACLE happen for Coach Eric Peevey to come to LCM as the Athletic Director. In my opinion he is the same caliber of COACH David Williams. Thank you sooooo much Supertentant Stacey Brister. She is the best.

Some talk on other site Chapel Hill to roll over LCM. Like El Campo before them - like Kilgore was thinking about Chapel Hill, that kind of thinking will get you beat. They see Vidor beat LCM, and they beat Vidor, forgetting the fact that Vidor was 100% healthy when the Pirates beat LCM, and played CH with a crippled backfield and HC missing. Plus the Bears appear to be peaking. Methinks CH is in for a surprise.

Coach David Williams was an assistant in the 80s before making AD in the 90s. He was the one that last brought the Bears to the playoffs. Great coach, even better person.

Some of the stuff that is for sale I would either donate, find a friend that wants it or throw it in the trash. 🗑 Maybe they are just hurting that much for money and need something for Ramen noodles to eat for a week. If I was not in dire straits however, I would never bother selling something at that kind of price, period.

Heck if we both just make it to the 5th round together would be amazing. There’s not many small towns that can say they had the top 2 teams in the same city with our population that were on top of 4a D1 and D2. You were right. Same kids last year 1-8. They bought into Coach Peevy program. Also the OC and DC and assistants have worked there tails off!

#14 He's going to eat your secondary alive. Ask BH and A&M how hard it is to guard him. #10 will control the game and make the right decision all game. He makes the big play when its needed, either throwing or running. Also the big difference this year is Crosby is much more diverse an offense. It's not is Branch or Dunn going to run the ball. It's RPO, Counters, a Big play receiver, A crafty receiver, and a solid running game lead by an exceptional quarterback. You don't have 3 picks in a season without being an elite decision maker. I took a double take when he threw one in the A&M game because it just hasn't happened this year. We won't have a player on the offense that isn't threat to take it to the house. Every receiver can make plays, every back you'll see can make plays. I think you are going to see a better offense than you did last year but not as explosive of an offense.

He was definitely a nice guy. He was just full of hot air and had no idea how to coach a football team or lead an athletic department. FYI I only played basketball and baseball at LCM, but I had several buddies on the football team and heard countless horror stories from them. Enough negativity - I am now a homeowner in the district and am floored at how quickly Peevey has turned things around here. I've never seen anything close to the amount of school spirit thats been exhibited these past few months. Its truly incredible.

Peevey is from Orange, his wife is from Orange, his family is from Orange and the everyone involved (School Super, Board, Principle, Booster Club, Fans) is behind him. He'll get what he needs from the community.

It was one or the other because I see the time of the 911 call was about 5:15 PM. It is getting very dark in the woods about that time. The likely scenarios are that she was hunting nearby and he stupidly fired or because it was getting dark, they were getting out of the blind to head for the car or camp and something went wrong. I am usually adamant about unloading my firearm when moving around like getting in and out of a blind. I might walk with it loaded, particularly in the dark. I almost always at least open the bolt before I move.

You are 100 percent right about the Dawg D. No body knows why they played that game like they did. All I know is China Spring did what no other team did in two years. China Spring out played us on both sides of the ball. This game will determine who plays in the state championship.

I've talked to a lot of folks in Bear nation that didn't make the El Campo game that will be in attendance for this one. Expect a loud and rowdy crowd.

Crosby has scored over 50 in 9 of the last 10 games. Texas High hasn’t scored 50 all year. I agree that Texas will have to keep the Cougars short of that mark to get the win. I think this game may still go to the wire. Maybe it’s a 44-41 game. Take Crosby since all the playoff luck has followed them over the last 11 months.

I picked CS in my pickems. I don’t have a problem with anyone who believes something, but I’ll always point out when someone was wrong when they speak in absolutes and certainties. If he’d come on here and said “I think… because…” I wouldn’t have called him out. But he basically said “this will happen, and anyone who thinks differently is dumb.”

I remember earlier in the year AAW had the audacity to get on here and apologize for not getting some game threads up in time, smh. It took everything in me not to go old school 14.2 and say, “Good, these ex-prima donna welders on here deserve to have to find their own information for once.” Probably a little biased but we definitely have one of the best few moderators on the boards I’ve seen . . . and y’all know I’ve checked.

I watched both games. I think Crosby had the better defense against PNG. Hard to measure since both dominated, but against Crosby my sense was nothing we could do would work, while against TH the sense was if we would execute we’d be staying in the game.

I wouldn't put too much stock into that particular game as I stated in a previous thread few weeks ago, I believe it's safe to say their internal issues have been resolved.

A Rivalry Game in the purest sense. Not the magnitude of Mid County Madness but a close second for Football is king in Texas. A win by Westbrook will have this site buzzing with happy haters. A win by United will have this site in Cricket mode for the most part. Should be a great turnout with fans from both schools and others who want to watch tradition rich basketball programs with winning Head Coaches. Throw out the records and rankings this should be a Chest match between coaching styles. Boutte vs Green. This will be a doubleheader. Westbrook girls 11-0 will challenge upstart 2-6 Shewolves. About 30 years ago I was playing tennis at the YMCA in Port Arthur with another officer. We were running around quite a bit, I was lunging for balls and play pretty aggressively. At about the time we finished the other officer told me, I think it’s the first time I’ve ever seen you without a gun. I then lifted up my T-shirt and showed him the .380 that I had strapped inside my shorts. His reaction was like… WHAT!? You played all that tennis with a gun on you? Yep…
