Just from his interview, he demonstrates a team concept and lack of ego that is needed by all head coaches. Crosby is blessed to have him. I, as a coach, love his success because he examplifies a successful coach who was hired with NO head coaching experience. Great job.2 points -
I remember years ago when PNG was playing Stephenville in the Dome. Stephenville made the loudest noise maker! It was 5 propane tanks filled with ball bearings mounted on a 2X4 and was handled by 3 students shaking that thing the whole game!😀 Crosby needs this2 points

PNG Coaching Change?
PN-G bamatex and one other reacted to AshlyHasBeen for a topic
He’s applied for other jobs in the past, which is pretty common. The last one being Lucas Lovejoy. That process was very public. He’s from Brownwood so moving to North Texas would’ve made sense. My only issue is we’re going on two weeks of people saying they have sources and know he is out. I’ve received messages saying he’s been forced out, been fired and been reassigned. I’ve even been told he notified the team. Yet he’s still there. Players haven’t been notified. Coaches haven’t been notified. People in the “know” have said it’s one guy. Then it became two. And I’ve been told around seven guys now. The story keeps changing. The superintendent says there are a bunch of bad rumors. Most coaches take time to consider their next step after the season. Just let it play out. Rumors aren’t helping anyone.2 points -

NO you will not be mandating anything to me. Apparently there's some confusion on your part about the relationship we have. You work for me. I'm not your servant nor your slave. I will not be talked down to, I will not be mandated to, I will not be forced to do anything against my will. You are my employee. It's not your place. Get it straight. - We The People2 points

I want to say this. While I still can… I have not always been a super big supporter of BF. I knew we needed change, and maybe because he was an outsider, I didn’t give him the Danny Malone chance. Malone had fire and was US from day one. I felt at first BF was not US. But if you look at the big picture, I think he has done a good job overall. I have seen some of the most exciting games under his coaching, as well as some of the most disappointing. But this year is an example of putting together a season that we overachieved. He has had his struggles with Nederland. But so did Matt. He has has 3 of the best QBs in our history, Doty, RJ, and Bost, and has made us respectable. He has taken kids like Morse, and Miller, and made them into good HIgh School quarterbacks. You hear about our defense, but if you look at demographics, we just do not have the talent, to be great on both sides. PAM and Lumberton moving down has hurt both us and Nederland with move ins. And our area is landlocked, and what used to be prime jobs, is mainly contractor jobs, folks moving in and out. Drive around and see all the trailer parks filled up. I think his goal was build a facility and get some guys in. But the indoor facility was shot down. We had turf first, but now everyone has it. So we are not on a higher level as far as facilities go. What I will say, is that he has won games we should not have one. Kept us in games we should not have been in, and lost games we should have one. But that’s the life of a coach. Overall he has done a great job. He will leave as the winningest coach in our history. And he made us relevant on several occasions. I think his 2 best coaching feats, was a loss to Manvel, which his play calling kept us in a game we had no business being in. And the win against WOS, that broke a long drought. A guy like BF will be hard to replace, simply because we are not the talent pool, booming area we once was. So if I was to rate him, as of today, he would get an A………. Anyone can read this and take it how you want. But I think we have been lucky to have a guy who made us a good offensive team, and made us relevant at times. Times change, people change, and high school football changes. The Todd Dodges of the world are hard to come by. I think the key, is to take ideas from the Dodges of the world, advance them, and keep Texas High School football relevant. Dynasty’s come and go, but the Friday night lights will always be a part of Texas.1 point -
They need to get scary if they want to have a chance at state, assuming they can make it. Lets see how it goes from here on out. I'm still not a fan of us taking out all 5 starters at once early in some games. Harris and Miller should be on the floor at all times outside of foul trouble and a little rest. The team should go through them outside of blowouts.1 point

That is a great question. If it is not illegal to do something while driving, and you do it but get in an accident...........does it then become illegal and the cause? If I'm driving and day dreaming and miss a stop sign and kill someone.......accident or negligence? If I'm eating and run that same stop sign with same result......accident or negligence? I honestly have mixed feelings about the answer...1 point

Looking at their performance on a different team playing against better talent helps give an idea of who was the better player at that position. I think it’s hard to compare era’s and stats just because there is so many different factors at hand. Including talent level on the team and the teams they played. But my point was watching the quarterbacks perform at that position at the next level could help us get an understanding of the ability of the quarterback. Not taking a shot at Roschon by any means, he may not have wanted to change to RB. But I do believe the position change helped focus on his strength which is running the football. And I also think putting him at that position helped him develop into a better player than if he would’ve stayed at quarterback.1 point

How did Notre Dame players find out?1 point -
Hearing that PNG and Nederland ISD are preparing to combine to form one school district. Admin building will remain in Port Neches and District name will stay PNG ISD. The school board will be expanded to 9 members with 5 dedicated to Port Neches & Groves residents and 4 dedicated to Nederland residents. The only allowed in-district transfers will be for athletes transferring from Nederland HS to PNG HS. All “star” athletes will be required to play for PNG. The new school district will split Nederland tax revenue among the whole district equally, but Port Neches and Groves tax revenue will remain with schools in the cities of PN and Groves. PN will be using the new tax revenue to build a massive Performing Arts center and new domed football stadium and practice facility. Hearing that Nederland will receive incentives from PNG board members to make all this happen including a restaurant, reduced rate rental equipment, advertising services, dental care, vip healthcare service, free bedtime stories, and a custom golf cart. Also, all midcounty madness games will be held at PNG. Sources say this is a done deal. Really solid sources. They heard it from the pool man of the dog groomer for the cousin of the workout partner of the college roommate of the ex-boyfriend of the daughter of the waiter at the favorite restaurant of the sister-in-law of the science teacher at the middle school of one of the board members best friend’s former co-workers brother’s daughter’s ex-bestfriend’s 3rd cousin’s pool man!1 point

This is perfect and absolutely correct! It is funny you see all these comments on this messageboard from the REALLY smart people (You know who you are and I DO TOO) blaming the admin and school board. You will for sure not see any of these people post on facebook because they will have to use their REAL NAMES. This same superintendent you are grilling received Superintendent of the year for the district’s successes under his leadership, including the passing of a Tax Ratification Election that negated a $4 million budget deficit. Also under his leadership, the district passed a $130 million bond election for replacing six elementary campuses with four new state of the art elementary schools. Another decision made by Dr. Gonzales and this board was the decision to keep learning face-to-face during the 2020-21 school year in spite of opposition. Keep being the keyboard warriors that you are!1 point

No doubt about Gholke! We will never see a defensive back hit like that in high school again. You will get kicked out of the game for hitting people like he did. He for sure was my favorite defensive player to watch. His attitude after he hit you was the best! When he would lay em out he would just stare em down. One bad dude!1 point

You're good Strattrax...I thought of Wilson Weber, Ted Brack, Mark Moss, Matt Burnett, Shawn Lang, Trayce Boudoin, and a few others. Shawn Lang was not the biggest guy, but he had a nose for the football and he would light you up with a mean streak. Excellent choice. No argument here. Wilson Weber...his jersey should be retired. Nothing more needs to be said. No one with any sense of PN-G history would argue the point. Another excellent choice.1 point

I never seen him play, but I have been told that Wilson Weber is by far the best LB to ever wear purple. That comes from men who are legends in this town, so I take their word. For me, Shawn Lang at LB. We have had a ton of insanely good book ends. So that’s a tough one.1 point

Just going with the years listed on pngindians.com they were on varsity, I knew Ky Walker was starter most games in '13, was'nt sure if he missed games with injury for Morse to play. I have no connection to any of the QB's or any disrespect to any. Just going on seeing each guy play & leading their teams in big games, I would take Long as the best passing QB.1 point
