I'll take Dville, BU, and (unfortunately) Faith Family out of those matchups. Beaumont United should be #1 in 5A now. If the Episcopal Saints of whatever they're called can take out Kimball, there's no reason to think BU can't do it again.

I’m a WOS fan and I fully understand the strong concern for the right fit of the head coach and interest of all applicants. If the WOS supporters had as much interest in applicants when hiring a principal or other administrative positions, WOS would excel in more areas than just football. As someone said, there’s more important things than football.

And ALWAYS well coached. Whitmire might be the most underrated coach in the area.

People want to know because they vote for these board members to make these tough decisions. For example, if coach "A" has a proven record as a leader and a winner, but is passed over for an inexperienced coach "C". Some would like to know the reason for the decision. BTW, only property owners pay taxes, but even they don't get a vote if they have moved out of the district. I know many members here don't reside within WOCISD. But that doesn't mean they don't still bleed blue and silver.

Some coaches who apply or think about applying don’t like their business out there. If they don’t get the job, then their existing school, admins, and team know they trying to leave.

Yeah, it's weird. BU had a really good showing against top level competition. Kimball lost 72 - 64 against ESD. That team then gets handled pretty easily by Dallas Carter. Oh well. All that really matters is who's left standing at the end.

I hope no one think it was even that close.there starters didn't play but 5 minutes the whole second half.

The thing that kill me is BU probably go down as one of the greatest teams to ever come through the Golden triangle.why teams that does have the chance slow the game down does spread the floor and use clock.there is no shot clock in high school.its the only way any team in our area has against them.they are that gud!!

As an outsider and a person who has always respected WOS you guys have one thing that will be there despite whomever they hire and its great genetics. That will still be there. College lineage NFL lineage. WOS will be just fine

I once faxed a waiver (I think that was the document) to AT&T stadium for Dr. Cousins to sign during the State Championship games so a kid could play in a basketball game that night. So lest people think the uil only jumps for the Duncanvilles of the world, I can attest that at least on one occasion, the same treatment was extended to Beaumont Central.

Agree there is more to life than football. Education has always been a top priority in my household growing up, and it continues today. My niece will finish in the top 6 in her class in 2022. I very proud of her. I’m’ only saying top 6 so she won’t get upset with me lol but it could be higher. Parents should be the ones who are more involved with communicating with principals and, administrators when there are problems at a particular school. IMO the decision has already been made as to who will be the HC at WOS next year. No matter who they may be, I will support them, and I will keep supporting the team. Change can be difficult for some people; I always observe first then make my decisions to approve or disapprove.

Yep it sure does help when you're able to recruit your players like the TAPP'S schools. Reasons like them are the reason teams like Faith Family Academy should haft to play in a TAPP'S district because their able to recruit. It's not fair to all the small towns schools.🤷🏻‍♂️

Zeke did what he had to do to get his money. Now that he’s got it. He is just going through the motions. I agree, trade Zeke while you can still get maybe a top CB opposite Diggs or a couple of high draft picks. I like Pollard and think he can be the lead back and pick up a quality back to spell him with one of the high draft picks you get for trading Zeke.

KOGT has been the only pipeline of local news with weekly visits with the judge, LIT Orange, county and city meeting minutes, police reports, local business promotions, charitable events, etc. Dang, as I’m listing them its becoming more evident that Orange County will hurt without KOGT. Furthermore, KOGT promoted many school events other than football. They broadcast, baseball, basketball, softball as well. These are programs that attract less attendance but still attracted a radio audience. It won’t take long after their closing to realize the true impact.
