Not all "facts" are as plain as the paper they are on.... CT was not successful at Palestine prior to coming back to WOS. Briles was not successful at Georgetown before landing in SVille. Dodge was not successful at NT. Success (wins/losses) are not the only indicator of future success, especially when there are many, many more dynamics at play. It's case by case.

Was looking at some mocks ahead of realignment in regards to how Crosby would fare if we stayed in D1 and it actually looks very promising. If we could win the district we would basically flip-flop sides of the bracket from where we played in D2 in 2021. Crosby would play in 9-5A-D1 so our bi-district would be HISD schools like the past two years in 12-5A-D2. If you played from the #1 position in the district you would avoid a potential district champ like Manvel or Cedar Park until the 3rd round. Manvel and Cedar Park are also the only two teams predicted to come back to the region that made it to the 3rd round last year with Paetow and FB Hightower moving to 6A. Long road ahead but with what we have coming through the program the next two years don't be surprised if Crosby wins four consecutive regional titles. I don't think there will be a whole lot of difference in competition between 2nd-4th round games in 5A-D1-R3.

[Hidden Content] No team would take Zeke with that contract! They overpaid him and did the same with Dak. They could have let Dak hit the market and no team would have given him 40 million a season. If you have access to game pass then you would see game after game where we have wide open guys for 1st downs and he goes to the wrong person. Then people blame the coach’s. Dak is inaccurate and can’t read a defense good enough. He plays well against bad teams. When we play average to good teams Dak puts us behind early. Then in the 2nd half when were down by multiple TD’s he gets on a roll. The people who know football knows why this happens. These teams are going into a prevent defense trying not to give up the big play. Dak holds onto the ball way too long. And why does this happen? Because he sees things way too late. So both Dak and Zeke got paid and their play has went down. Zeke dont have the burst he once had. I did notice on game pass that our offensive line was missing several blocks on run plays. And Shultz is terrible at blocking! And if we cant run the ball don’t expect Dak to carry us in the playoffs. He does good when the run game is going good and he can hit passes off of play action. The defense was missing a key guy yesterday and Wilson missed a few plays that Keanu would have made. They still played good enough for us to beat a very banged up Arizona team. No way should Arozona beat us with all of the players they were missing. It looks like we will get them again in 2 weeks.

Yeah, it's weird. BU had a really good showing against top level competition. Kimball lost 72 - 64 against ESD. That team then gets handled pretty easily by Dallas Carter. Oh well. All that really matters is who's left standing at the end.

I'll take Dville, BU, and (unfortunately) Faith Family out of those matchups. Beaumont United should be #1 in 5A now. If the Episcopal Saints of whatever they're called can take out Kimball, there's no reason to think BU can't do it again.

I once faxed a waiver (I think that was the document) to AT&T stadium for Dr. Cousins to sign during the State Championship games so a kid could play in a basketball game that night. So lest people think the uil only jumps for the Duncanvilles of the world, I can attest that at least on one occasion, the same treatment was extended to Beaumont Central.

I’m a WOS fan and I fully understand the strong concern for the right fit of the head coach and interest of all applicants. If the WOS supporters had as much interest in applicants when hiring a principal or other administrative positions, WOS would excel in more areas than just football. As someone said, there’s more important things than football.

The time to do that was before the guilty verdict. Would be interesting to know what type of bartering, if any, was going on behind the scenes. Having said that, she hasn’t been sentenced yet. Maybe negotiations are ongoing. I would be willing, if I were prosecutor, to make her a pretty sweet deal to blow the lid on the whole thing (and more specifically, those who were in bed with Epstein, no pun intended).

Not sure how the girls side is run. I know it’s fairly successful.. and I believe the coaches are pretty consistent. Are they not? I know that pretty much all successful sports in SeTx have pretty much had the same coach for a long time. You’d think that schools would notice that correlation. I know I have.
