Back to the original topic…. You have to be a special kind of stupid to even remotely compare Pearl Harbor and 9-11 to the protest on January 6. 2021 or… your party is in a desperate situation and you were hoping that much of your base has no clue what you were talking about and accepts your lies as fact. It should be relatively simple because many people of voting age today were not born when 9-11 happened or were too young to recall it. I doubt you could get anywhere past single digits percentage of the population to explain what the attack on Pearl Harbor was to anyone under 35 years old and probably older. So let’s go back and make a comparison. I think in 1937 The Japanese invaded China in order to take over the country. Prior to that they invaded and conquered Korea in 1910. United States and others protested the killing and slaughtering of millions of Chinese including women and children. The Americans put economic sanctions on Japan to stop the slaughter of millions and for that the Japanese performed a sneak attack on the United States, a country that they were not at war with and had diplomatic relations, with the intent to cripple the American Pacific fleet and keep the United States from interfering with their slaughter of more Chinese. In Hawaii a little over 2,200 people were killed. What is not often mentioned in history is that the Japanese also attacked other American bases around the world including in the Philippines, Wake Island, etc. It was not merely an attack at Pearl Harbor but it’s several other United States military installations. The attack on Pearl Harbor was the biggest that drew the attention of the public. So we had a foreign government kill several thousand Americans in several sneak attacks. On 9-11-01 a sneak attack was performed by at least 19 foreign nationals. These attacks killed over 3,000 people. Apparently the current administration wants to compare those attacks by another country or y foreign nationals to a protest that occurred on January 6, 2021. In that protest, which was by American citizens and not a foreign government or foreign nationals, the protesters killed…. well they didn’t actually kill anyone. The sad part of it is not that they disgustingly compared those two attacks with the protest. We can likely understand even insane politics. The really sad part is that they are probably 30-40% of Americans who don’t understand it and probably believe it’s true. “Well, Kamala Harris said it’s just like Pearl Harbor so it must be really bad…..”.5 points

Might be willing to make a deal on some of those colonies…. Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland…. We might take a wait and see on Virginia and Pennsylvania. Right now North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia can get a pass.4 points

Mr Reagan, this is pretty simple. You've obviously, stated your dislike of Toby due to what you perceive as failure in the win/loss columns. If you are a resident of the WOS district then make your feeling known in the community. Spend your dime on promoting who you'd like to see in there. If you aren't, then why are you so concerned? You know the community wants Toby, if they are wrong, then, it's on them. If the sup/SB go a different route, then I'm not sure that the other coach could EVER achieve the level of success it would take to appease the constituents. That's just real talk. I've said all along I think it should go to the most qualified individual. From what I know of those who've applied, Toby is it, hands down, when you apply the standards the district has posted publicly COMBINED with the fact Toby is home grown. He stands alone in either facet. If you're an outside fan, get behind the community because I have a feeling it'll be Toby unless something more sinister is involved. And, if your not, pray your right and you have something to look forward to for the next few years. Lol3 points

At this point they SB/S, should just let the community know. No matter what I am a Mustang for Life! No matter whom they choose they will have my support. Now I think people should put some respect on coach's name from Toby to Coach Foreman. Yes!2 points

Harris describes Jan. 6 alongside Pearl Harbor, 9/11 as dates that 'echo throughout history'

I think you missed the point of the post. It was not a comparison of those events, it was to highlight that the same dunces that bought into the other lies also believe that the Jan 6 mess was an insurrection led by Trump.2 points -
January 6th was theater. The people that push back on that fact believed Jussie Smollett’s attack, Bubba Wallace’s noose, Adam Schiff’s claim to possess evidence, and 14 days to flatten the curve. People supposedly planning to overthrow the government don’t buy round trip plane tickets.2 points

Both sides are wrong as usual. Trump/Rudy sent the horde down the street to stop the certification of electoral votes. You can't get a more textbook insurrection than that. You can't compare that to looting foot locker. I'm sorry, but they aren't the same. As is often the case, the Dems are betting the house that harping on "the insurrection" will win them elections. It will not. Nobody cares anymore. They're more concerned about inflation and Covid. The longer they keep mining the same ground over and over, the worse the outcome will be for those pushing the investigations. People are sick of it on both sides of the aisle. I'll say the same thing that I said in 2016.... If Trump wanted to win votes, all he needed to do is pardon Hillary and say "we all just need to move on." Biden could do the same thing now for Trump and fix his own popularity issue.2 points

I found them on maxprep, they are from Huntsville Alabama, they are the generals in division 5a and rank #1 , they are 14-2 for the season and their roster consist of a 6’6 , 6’5 and 2 6’3 , 6’0 and so on, and one of their lost is to the team from South Carolina that’s in this tournament. Go to maxprep and type Lee high school and look for Huntsville and the logo with large green L . Zip 35811, United without Arceneaux is going to have their hands full but should be a great game.1 point -

Caywood is good, but will need help. Losing very good players on Defense like Beck, Kotz, Lopez, Fuselier, Stoker, Bougeois & Replacing with inexperienced players is always a tough task for any team. I believe 3 starters return at WR, that should be a strength. Biggest question mark imo is at QB & OL. Neither QB mentioned has varsity starting exp. at the 5A level. Either QB will have to step up & learn under fire in a tough new district. Nederland coaching staff is known for finding the right players to put in starting positions & putting a competitive team on the field.1 point

Wow..."an intellentionally timed attempt to destroy the very fabric of our government". That is some fantasyland description that could only come from Hollywood. Even those liberal sheeple are thinking "I wish I could have been so imaginative as to come to this nonsensical conclusion." Maybe you should write a move script based on your disillusioned and fictional characterization of the event. Hollywood hasn't produced a good fictional comedy in a while.1 point

Your stereotypying is making you look even more stupid than I thought possible. Who would I rather vote for: A New York former Democrat turned partial Conservative or a Southeast Texas blowhard who is not very bright but insists to the world he is intellectually superior? In this case, I would vote for the New Yorker in a heartbeat over the Southeast Texan. You try to rail against this board because we didn't vote for a stereotype. And you, you...you stereotype so much that you fell in love with a geriatric imbecile because you fell for all of the negative and false stereotypes thrown at Trump. And you try to say "we" got fooled. Seriously, how are you not embarrassed with yourself? I almost feel sorry for you.1 point

I don't have a problem with a rowdy protest at the capitol. I'm not as concerned if the breach of the capitol occurred at any other particular time... that's a just a badly conceived protest. What happened on 1/6/21 was not a protest... it was a intentionally timed attempt to destroy the very fabric of our government. But when that horde went down to stop the peaceful transfer of power that has been the hallmark of our democracy for almost 200 years.... it's a whole different situation. You can say "but... but.... but...... people burned cop cars all over the country in the spring!" It's not the same. Not even close.1 point

I too suffer from leg cramps, just like my dad. I'm gonna try that one and I'll let you know if it's really mind over matter. Another thing I've been told is for hiccups. Say the word cow and it'll stop. Sometimes it does. But when it doesn't, I resort to saying calf, bull, Longhorn, beef, brisket, t bone, filet mignon. The trick is you have to believe.1 point -
New Manhattan DA to drop sex crimes, armed robbery, etc., to misdemeanors
WOSdrummer99 reacted to Hagar for a topic
Okay, so a few Liberal Loons get this Defund the Police started. Most have no idea how bad the repercussions are, so fine. Now with crime soaring, especially homicides, anyone with at least a double digit IQ can see the Defunding isn’t working. O K A Y, let’s stop for a moment. Take a deep breath because here’s where they lose me. If the Defunding isn’t working it means we need to fund more Police and get tougher on crime, B U T what do liberals do - double down - we won’t prosecute the criminals. Is there a word that means ‘more idiot’ (idioter?). These Democrats are giving humanity a bad name. Where did this DA get his degree? New York Institute for the Incredibly Stupid? Since I’m on a roll, I’ve got an analogy for this Defund/don’t prosecute. There’s this aluminum boat. Somehow it’s taking on water. The Captain, a Democrat says, “I know what we’ll do - drill a half inch hole in the bottom of the boat to let the water drain. Done! Oh hell, more waters coming in. The Captain says, “Drill more holes but make them one inch so the water will drain faster”. So the question is, do people devoid of common sense become Democrats, or when you become a Democrat do they suck the common sense right out of you?1 point -
