Lol, it's ingrained in you deep huh? Don't worry, I'm sure God has a segregated place in heaven that's up to your suiting. Hopefully you get to check it out sooner than later? On a serious note, the brother-in-law hire is probably the best route for WOS. I highly doubt they have the lure/money to pull MLK Day coaches like Jahmal Fenner, James Williams or Jason Todd away from their programs.2 points -
Liberty County Quarterbacks
Mr. Buddy Garrity and one other reacted to oldschool2 for a topic
I seriously think you have no idea the level of physical maturity between a 13/14 year old kid and a 17/18 year old kid. Unless this 8th grader you speak of is one or two years older than his peers.. which would also explain why he was so dominant (I'm guessing that's what you're implying?). No offense, but when an 8th grader makes other 8th graders look bad it doesn't mean that they could start for any varsity team in the county. Don't get me wrong.. maybe the kid can play. But I wouldn't bet the farm on an 8th grade kid from Hardin being able to even remotely do well playing with or against the teams in Liberty, Cleveland, or Dayton's district.. Let alone starting offense. My thoughts, if that kid would've indeed been Hardin's starting quarterback last year.. he would've been running for his life against East Chambers, Woodville, Anahuac, and the others just like their actual varsity quarterback was. Besides.. we're talking about the AD's kid? That's what I heard anyway.. What are the chances that A)Hardin keeps the coach around long enough to see the kid graduate anyway? (look at their track record) B)if the kid is as good as you're implying, why not take him to a school where he'll get an opportunity to shine? and win? C'mon, guy..2 points -
There is obviously some kind of mental illness going on within the group. “White supremacist” seems to be the answer to any question that comes up. Is like some form of Tourette’s or OCD. Why does a Beaumont city councilman want to bring the Battleship Texas to Beaumont? White supremacy. Why does a substantial percentage of Americans not want to take the Covid vaccine? White supremacy. Why are Bidens poll numbers some of the lowest in history? White supremacy. Why did the Cowboys have about five penalties in the game that kept them from beating San Francisco? White supremacy. And so it goes…2 points

I have spent some time studying this subject and I can say with 100% certainty, every head football coach at any level, never held a head coaching position before he was selected the first time.2 points

Off-duty North Carolina deputy who killed man who police say jumped on his truck
thetragichippy reacted to tvc184 for a topic
Generally in Texas it is lawful to use force but not deadly force to protect property. Sometimes there is a misunderstanding of the words “force”. A law might say a person can use the force necessary. That is different than deadly force necessary. There are extremely limited reasons to lawfully use deadly force to protect property but they do exist. The nighttime criminal mischief is many times overstated in my opinion. Deadly force is not legal to stop criminal mischief unless “property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means”. (Quoting Texas law) If a person uses deadly force to stop teenagers from throwing toilet paper, that is probably murder. If a person is breaking your windshield wiper, there had better be a high risk of you getting killed by trying to stop him or again, it is probably murder. The law doesn’t talk about speculation either. It goes by what is known to the person at the time who is using the force. For example at 12 year old kid “could” have a pistol and “might” kill you. If 12 your kid is throwing confetti in your yard, you cannot shoot him and say well I thought he might have a pistol. If he produces the pistol, that isa different issue. If you’re 5 foot 110 pound woman and there’s a 6’2” 220 pound man doing something, that might be a reasonable belief. So far protection of property either from theft or criminal mischief the first requirement is it be during the night. The second requirement to make deadly force lawful is that there were not other reasonably means to stop theft or criminal mischief. If you could just yell at someone and scare them away, and that is what is “necessary”. Remember that when a person uses deadly force, that person might be in front of a jury trying to explain why he killed someone in the nighttime for throwing eggs.1 point -

I've been wanting to make the following comment for a while: Since you brought this up, now's a good time: Having CT advise is a double edged sword. Sure, his experience is invaluable. This is the good part. But -- there's also another side that is called loyalty. Coaches are a loyal breed. That can be good; can also be bad. The coach with the losing record hasn't been around for 9 years. Coaches on the present staff, who wishes to apply, will probably get the nod from CT. You know, out of loyalty they have shown CT.1 point -

I'm not gonna lie... I was completely surprised that we didn't have an announcement yesterday on MLK Day. Winning football games is nice, but when you have the chance to right the wrongs of the past 400 years, you hire the black coach. Sorry, Tow-B.1 point -
And it’s safe to say the referral and help from Cornel to hire the best is irrelevant also!1 point

Fair statement. Especially concerning southeast Texas.. CT was an exception but retired. All communities are stupid for not allowing THEIR CHOICE to at least see the 9th graders through graduation. Just my opinion, of course. But to be fair, the most consistently successful programs (no matter the sport) have consistent head coaches. People claim they want someone to build a program and/or change the culture, then don't allow them time to do it.1 point -

Another in the many things I can’t comprehend. Why would an immigrant from Mexico wave a Mexican flag? Think about it. You live in a 💩hole country so bad that you have to leave it. Then get to a better place and wave the 💩holes country’s flag. Makes no sense. If America got so bad I had to leave it, hell would freeze over before I’d be waving an American flag.1 point -

Unless there is just a mass exodus of students.. WOS will remain locally dominant at least I'm guessing. Newton went through two great coaches and is still Newton. The kids just traditionally have more than everyone else in their respective classification/area. WOS will do the same.1 point -

Dak is the best qb against bad competition in NFL history. Against quality teams he's an okay game manager, at best. I wish Romo had had the chance to play with the quality around him that Dak has. He would've won a ring, maybe more than one.1 point -

Michigan Democrats criticized after dismissing parents' role in public education
Hagar reacted to LumRaiderFan for a topic
[Hidden Content] I love it when democrats screw up and say exactly what they think...from the article: The Democratic Party blasted the idea that parents should have a voice in what public schools teach, saying in a Facebook post over the weekend that public education teaches kids what society "needs them to know." A Saturday post made by the Michigan Democrats on their official Facebook page criticized the parents who want to play a role in what public education teaches their children. The post was deleted Monday morning after intense criticism. "Not sure where this ‘parents-should-control-what-is-taught-in-schools-because-they-are-our-kids’ is originating, but parents do have the option to send their kids to a hand-selected private school at their own expense if this is what they desire," the post read. "The purpose of public education in public schools is not to teach kids only what parents want them to be taught," the Michigan Democratic Party’s post continued. "It is to teach them what society needs them to know. The client of the public school is not the parent, but the entire community, the public."1 point -

And if the teachers are Marxist, which it appears many up there are, they decide the kids need to know how great Socialism/Marxism are. As LRF said, “I love it when they say what they think”. Normally they hide their true thoughts/feelings under some soft soap 🐂💩, but their true agenda comes out occasionally.1 point -

The FBI now says that it is not only a terror attack but was targeting the Jewish community. It only took about 48 hours for what some people claim is the preeminent law-enforcement agency in this country, to figure out what everybody else took about 30 seconds to figure out. I completely understand that you don’t know something until you investigate it thoroughly. With the original statement that there is nothing to indicate the Jewish community was targeted seems rather disingenuous. If they did not want to commit out of political correctness, a better statement would seem to have been, we don’t know yet but it appears to have targeted the Jewish community.1 point

If the game takes place as has been mentioned Silsbee's best and maybe only chance is to force turn overs from Washington's guards. BT probably will run. Running is in their b ball DNA. HISD / Houston area 4A schools have watched Yates run amok for years and they want to run too. They prolly have some half court sets featuring Lewis' shooting. All this is down the road, maybe six weeks away. The focus now is district & LC-M.1 point

Yes by far. Nice to have a 6-8 contributing piece for sure. But Lewis, if that game happens, will easily be the best player in the gym. And he is more of a wing than a post. Will be the best shooter in the gym as well.1 point

Which is the intent of the United States Constitution and more specifically the Bill of Rights. A majority (pure democracy) should not be able to take away your right to an Attorney, your right to remain silent, your right to free speech, etc. Like the saying goes… Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner. Liberty is a well armed sheep contesting the vote.1 point
