  1. If this chaos ends with Jason Wilkins back on the sideline, Evadale wins.

  2. The off-court stuff definitely doesn't sound great, but it is usually the assistant coach's job to keep track of player fouls and let the head coach know about foul trouble.

They lost in the Elite 8 on Saturday night, what a ride that was. If you have a daughter that wants to continue to play basketball after High School, do not blow off Div 3 schools. Div 1 is obviously the big dogs, yes Div 3 does not pay “athletic money” but my daughter is getting an absolutely awesome education at a very very discounted price with grants and scholarships. She is having one of the best college experiences possible. My oldest daughter attends Texas A&M and tells us all the time that she wishes she was having the same experience as her younger sister.

Probably not, Evadale people are never happy. He did so-so with kids that were more talented than Tousha's boy. That's not gonna be good enough

  17. No, I was simply taking your logic and applying it to your views on football coaches. "It's like we are having a topic debate/discussion on high school bands. 95-98% of this forum, including me, has no first hand knowledge of playing in the high school band. So, for decent and somewhat expert opinions, I would defer to someone that has been involved in the band." This logic tells me that your opinions on here are invalid because you've never won a state championship as a head football coach. So, for decent and somewhat expert opinions, I will defer to someone that has been involved in winning a state championship in football. Like you, I have never been involved in winning a state championship. But unlike you, I don't have a meritless set of criteria that defines a coach's success that I try to shove down everyone's throats.

  20. Just heard Sen. Kennedy talk about the CEO of Disney. He said, originally, the CEO told the woke crowd that Disney wasn't getting involved that they were going to remain neutral. But, the gay mafia went into high gear and the CEO folded like a wet noodle. Sen. Kennedy said he doesn't see how the CEO can stand without a spine.

  24. Turf is good for football, but I absolutely hate it for soccer. The turf puts unnatural spin on the ball and the bounces are ridiculous. There really is nothing better than a nice grass field for soccer. I know this is a football thread, but just thought I'd make the point.

  27. There’s a previous post about when PNG took Indians as their mascot, there would’ve been some attacking them for it. While in the Army in the mid 60’s, I was stationed with two guys from South Dakota. I was bragging once about having 25% Cherokee (which I’m not sure is true) and they told me I ought not say anything about being part Indian as it was looked down on (where they were from). Being naive I was floored. I had no idea. Still I told them that in SETX it was a badge of pride. Maybe Chief Humpwoke needs to do a little background study. Quite possible some PNG players/fans, back in the day, were verbally attacked for using Indians. I’m guessing it’s not a popular mascot in the SD HS’s. One more comment for me, you can go to the bank if Woke is against something, I’m 99% sure I’m for it. These are vocal loons that exemplify “the squeaky wheel gets the grease”.

  28. Yes, but we have (mostly) a 2 party system. And the folks with the money get to buy their agendas through a political system of high dollar whores (our elected politicians) who will sell their respective souls to the highest bidders.

  30. Like ive stated before and will continue to state. I do agree with Scat_Trap to a certain extent. I just believe you have the people in power who don't care about football at BU. When Central/Ozen had good coaches, they were an area power, and was always in a quest for a District championship and at least 2 rounds in the playoffs. So now you telling me they combined and it gets worst?? hmm idk about that

  31. People can only relate to what they experience. Although in history books, no one reading this forum was there for slavery, Indian displacement and for most people, not even segregation laws in the 50’s and early 60’s. I will be 67 on my next birthday and I was 3 years old when the 60’s rolled around. Just like I wasn’t around for slavery, almost no one reading this was around for Jim Crow laws either. Yes times seemed better in the “old days” or maybe “better” is more appropriately described as “simpler”. Not locking your door, kids not coming home until after dark because their parents didn’t have to worry that they hadn’t seen you all day, some stores having blank checks at the checkout because you forgot yours and you were trusted to fill in your correct name and bank account number and so on. Some people (most?) even left their cars unlocked and many left their keys in the car. That includes the Black community. My best friend’s first cousins lived in Riverside in Orange and I used to go there a few times in the summer to play. We played hide and seek and other games with the Black kids living there and I don’t recall them being in before dark either. I don’t think their parents were worried about them getting stopped by the police for selling drugs or them being the victim of a drive-by shooting. It was a simpler time. Was there racism? Discrimination? Sure, but there was also a lot more freedom to move about without fear. Obviously there is now much more freedom technically/legally and merely acceptance. But is it better? Yes in a strictly legal and acceptance sense. When I first became a police officer in the mid-80s and even until the mid-90s, there was violent crime and n PA but it was mostly located in small pockets and they could easily be avoided. Now? There were no drive by shooting or violent crimes like robberies in neighborhoods. The local Stop and Rob convenience store? Sure and in those limited neighborhoods and I am not talking Black neighborhoods. There were several areas in Black neighborhoods in PA that I never went to for police services. There was simply no need. They were quiet and generally self policed. The violence was mostly concentrated in the areas of short Texas, Sally’s alley and a short strip of Houston Ave. I don’t think parents are less worried about their children today because it is different. Quite the opposite. Violent crime isn’t concentrated in a couple of small pockets of a city. People are not wise to leave their doors unlocked or even your car door if you are out of it for even a minute. I was probably in my late 20s when I first started thinking about locking car doors. So while it is easy for a 40 year old today to say it is better now, what is their experience time frame? A person turning 40 this year was 15 years old in 1997. That person has no direct knowledge of the “old days”. I could only guess but I think the Black kids that I played with in Orange who are approaching 70 years old, might long for the old days but without the discrimination. Maybe like, I wish it was like 2022 but back when I was a child in 1963. So yes things are bad now and they were bad then but for different reasons. It goes by a person’s experience. For all its faults, some of the previous generations had a much simpler life. It depends on if you look so the glass as half full or half empty. In my opinion….

  33. I actually like how much emphasis you’re placing on the gas/oil thing as if I said it was the only contributing factor. Any intelligent person would know that natural resources-jobs-population-money contribute to successes within the community. Including schools. Any intelligent person also knows it takes more than that (Sabine Pass). And that it takes more than numbers (Allen). But go ahead.. I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself. Relevant question: Is Phil Danaher “in the league” with Briles? I’m trying to get your exact requirements. Danaher has won more games than any Texas coach alive.. but not the last one. Or is that what it takes? There’s a lot of coaches nobody has heard of that won it all but never got close again. Even doing poorly afterwards. They in the league? Help me out so I know how to judge a good/bad coach.

Now, with that being said: For me to go along with this situation, I'd have to have 100% proof that the 2020 election was stolen. Until then, I don't support this.

A guy breaks into a house looking for money and guns and finds a couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair. While tying the girl to the bed, he gets on top of her, kisses her neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom. While he is in there, the husband tells his wife,” Listen, this guy is an escaped convict, look at his clothes. He probably spent a lot of time in jail and hasn’t seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex, don’t resist, don’t complain, do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is very dangerous. If he gets angry, he’ll kill us. Be strong honey. I love you. “ To which the wife responds,” He wasn’t kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked me if we had any Vaseline. I told him there was some in the bathroom. Be strong honey. I love you!”

  40. Man you got some bitterness going on with the Prairie. Did some ole country boy whoop your *** or did some cowboy from there steal "your" girl? You never even have anything of value to say, just some random broad stroke dis that I'm assuming you have dialed up for all of your "most hated" areas. Feel free to put some thought into your comments from time to time, assuming you actually know how to.

  44. Why did Disney think they could get away with this attack against these young students at PNG? Because they think they can do it with impunity. What's amazing, they attack these young innocent students but they are OK with have a gay/sodomite week every year. You see, if they stopped that, or didn't have this, they couldn't do it without impunity. There's no telling what the sodomites would do. So, my thought is that we need some of our elected officials contact Disney and demand an apology. And broadcast all over the news how these innocent students were treated. Which official would you think would have the most impact? I would be willing to go all the way to Cruz and/or Cornyn. We can't let this pass with no blow-back against Disney. Thoughts?!

  46. That is also up for debate. Truth be known, they’d rather be known by their particular tribal designation. An excerpt from Native Times, a self-proclaimed Indian publication in April 2015: ”As an Indian newspaper we must be very careful that what we call ourselves is not dictated to us by the white media (Native Americans). We have been Indians for a few hundred years and the name carries our history. Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull and Little Wound all called themselves "Indian" and they said it with pride. Should we dishonor them by saying they were wrong? Political correctness be damned: We will use "Indian" if and when we choose...”

Went fishing this morning. After a short while I ran out of worms. Then I saw a cottonmouth with a frog in it’s mouth. Knowing the snake couldn’t bite me with the frog in it’s mouth, I grabbed it behind the head, took the frog, and put it in my bait bucket. Now the dilemma was how to release the snake without getting bit. I grabbed my bottle of Jack Daniels & poured a little whiskey in it’s mouth. It’s eyes rolled back in it’s head and it went limp. I released the snake into the lake without incident and carried on fishing using the frog. Not long after I felt a nudge on my foot. I looked down and it was that damn snake…….with two more frogs. Life is good!

A Fireman was working on the engine outside the station, when he noticed a little girl nearby in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle. The girl was wearing a fireman's helmet. The wagon was being pulled by her dog and her cat. The fireman walked over to take a closer look and said, That sure is a nice fire engine. The little girl girl replied, Thanks. The fireman looked a little closer. The girl had tied the wagon to her dog’s collar and to the cat’s testicles. The fireman said, Little partner, I don’t want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you tie that rope around the cats collar, I think you could go faster. The little girl paused for a moment then replied, You’re probably right but then I wouldn’t have a siren.
