  1. Blacks, women, whites , Mexicans any group you can think of uses a word or a phrase that was once used for hate amongst themselves. N word, b word,R neck, etc.. It’s just what it is. … I’ll use the n word around a specific group. Will never use any other word for other races. And I’m just fine not being able to say those words.

  2. Coming from a place of respect.... If the word doesn't bother, as evidenced by your usage of it, BUT it bothers you when a white person says it- you don't have a problem with the word, you have a problem with white people saying the word... that's textbook racial animus, my man. You have to see it for what it is... the word has been "taken" by the black community as their own for the sole purpose of bludgeoning white people with it. Personally, I don't care... but the fact that one person can be invited to the white house after making millions by slinging that word around in rap tunes (Jay-z), while at the same time another person is losing their job, marketing opportunities, etc because they admit that they did use that word back in the '80's (Paula Deen) tells you that you should re-examine every lie that you've ever been told about bias in the United States. Like I said... I think the word is repugnant and the idea that someone would laughingly joke around with it and claim that it was a term of endearment while it was probably the last hateful word heard by people like Emmitt Till is so stupid that it's hard to come up with comparisons. Do Jews laughingly throw up "Heil Hitlers" at each other as a term of endearment? Of course not.

  5. I don’t know if it is pathetic or hilarious or simply brainwashed that people that has some of them going off the deep end with Musk buying Twitter. To put it in simple terms, they are either mad that free-speech is allowed or they have no clue how repressive they have been with anybody that is not a robot. I have seen in this forum and several others, liberals, Democrats, etc. complaining of a conservative echo chamber. Have they looked in the mirror with Twitter? Talk about an echo chamber. It is like 50 million people get in there and repeat mantras like orange man bad, Republicans want dirty water, etc. but if a person says, “No we don’t”. in response we get….. HORRIBLE COMMENT!!! That person should be thrown off Twitter as he is trying to overthrow the country!! Many on the left are going out of their minds saying that this now opens the door for hate speech…. while not caring that much of what they call hate speech is protected under the First Amendment. BLM marches in the street chanting the police must die now and “pigs in a blanket, fry like bacon!!”. That is protected according to them and is not inciting violence or hate speech. If you respond by saying BLM is putting out hate speech, THAT is hate speech according to many on the left. How dare you criticize our sjw cause!? Again, I don’t know whether to think it is comical or pathetic or just downright disgusting.

  8. Could be wrong but I think he was referencing the hypothetical situation of LCM and Lumberton being tied after district play. LCM would advance to the playoffs in that instance because they beat Lumberton both times. Its a moot point now because LCM won last night and Lumberton can't catch them anymore. I believe you are correct in that LCM and Vidor would play a win-or-go-home game for 4th place if they end up tied after this week.

  12. Eaves started for OF, Bodin came in...in the 5th or 6th. I would say that OF played starters the entire game till the top of 7th...couple pinch-hitters (and it almost worked in their favor). It was a good game. Vidor hit the ball, pitchers made quality pitches, and made the plays that mattered. OF had chances but could not come up with a hit or make those one or two plays.

  18. If PAM is even semi-competent on offense this year they should be able to muster 40-50 points against KP's defense. They're very PNG-like where most of their good athletes play on the offensive side of the ball, they haven't had a decent defense since 2014. I think if KP finishes 3rd it's going to be because they're better than people are predicting, not necessarily because the district is worse. I don't think y'all will have much issue with Lee. I was looking through some of their stuff and didn't realize how much Trudell Berry impacted their outcomes last year. He was far and away their best player and signed with Vanderbilt after being recruited by Aston Walter. I love Lee's coach but they simply don't have enough at the line of scrimmage to consistently compete.

  20. These people legitimately believe that he's the 2nd coming. The idolatry behavior is disturbing and the level of mental gymnastics these folks have when it comes to Trump is amusing though. I hope they give all their retirement money to those scam artists Sidney Powell and Mike Lindell. Maybe they'll unleash the kraken before the aliens from outer space come to Earth and zap us. Lmao

  21. As crazy as the things are in the world right now with many things making no sense whatsoever, this is just another straw on the camel’s back. The desire from the left to stifle any opposition should be scary to everyone. The very founding of this country listed in the first amendment was a ability to speak your mind. I don’t have to like what you are saying but unless you are threatening to kill someone or cause some other breach of the peace , like the classic yelling fire in a movie theater, you should have the right to say it. People on the left are having a meltdown like Dorothy just threw a bucket of water on them because the other side is allowed to express an opinion.

  25. That’s where you’re mistaken. It’s widely accepted by black people that whites should buy and play their music, and even go to concerts. But the white person is not allowed to sing the n-word. I’m not even kidding. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] My point remains… if you believe that this group can but that group can’t… you’re a racist. It’s like me dropping F bombs all over the place but being violently angry if I hear a Virgin say it because they have no idea what it means to me. The argument is literally that stupid. Eff bombs are offensive… it doesn’t matter if the speaker has ever had sex. The n-word is either offensive or it’s not. The truth is that black people clearly aren’t bothered by the word… they just hate white people because that’s what they’ve been told to do… in the exact same way that racist white people taught their kids to hate others.

  28. Blacks use the N word toward other blacks, and it’s acceptable. Why? Based on what I hear, because it’s used it lieu of “guy-man-etc”. So let me enlighten those who want to point the racist finger at others. Most of older generation, coming out of the depression, used it not in a derogatory intent, but merely to identify one race from another. In lieu of “black-colored-etc”. In other words (no pun intended) much like it’s used today by blacks. So the meaning of words change. Take crap for instance. When I was young, we used it in lieu of the “bad” words. First time I used it in front of my G’kids, my daughter told me not to cuss in front of them. What? Cuss? That’s a safe word - Nope, not any more. So labeling all old white people racist who used the N word, Nope! Wrong! My generation was, for the most part, taught, NO N-word. I never used it in front of my G’kids, and have never heard them use it. But initially since no N-word, whites used colored. Nope, blacks didn’t like that. How about negro? Nope. What then? How about African-Americans? That was okay for a short while, then Nope. Go to word, black. That’s working so far, but tomorrow, who knows. Words mean things. We should all try to respect others unless they’ve done something to deserve our disrespect. So @wbfan make an effort. Don’t condemn everyone from Vidor over what a few knucklehead loons have done. Yes, there are racist in Vidor, as there is in every single town. Feel free to name a town/city that has no racist. Don’t judge a whole town over some 🐂💩 that happened 70 years ago. I could post stories of Beaumont that are just as racist and disgusting as Vidor.

  30. I think he does, he has Nash's back per his presser and seems to be ok with his other teammates. Almost beat the Deer last season without Harden and Headcase. I noticed in Kyrie presser he only named KD, the GM and who I believe is the Nets owner and "family members" around the organization in regards to returning and help "manage" (whatever the hell that means in Kyrie's world) 🤷🏾‍♂️ There's no way on Earth I give Kyrie a 5yr $247mil contract that I do know.

  31. I know and have known quite a few coaches. Unfortunately some have passed on. Dale Irwin is as fine a man as anyone could ask for to coach their kid. And no, he didn't win an elusive state title, lots of coaches don't. But he came damn close a couple of times. Hell once with a female kicker. So enjoy that retirement Coach Dale and maybe soon we can get back together for some more hunting trips!!!

  32. True story.... I was going to Lamar in the mid nineties and the OJ trial was ongoing. I was watching the news one evening and Marcia Clark was questioning that cop Mark Furman(sp) about if he'd ever used "the n-word." My dumb____ was over there like "N-word? I know the A-word, a couple of B-words, that C-word that women HATE... but I can't think of an "n-word."" I had honestly never heard it called "the n-word" before that. It just was what it was. When I grew up it was an insult as far as I was concerned. Probably worse than dummy but nowhere near an actual swear word. And before anybody starts throwing accusations around, of course I used it back then... just like everybody else. Or at least everybody else from this part of the world. Somewhere along the way I just decided that it's not acceptable for me to use... behind closed doors, in jest, or any other way. It's just not okay. I also try to spread that message and let people know how I feel. Don't say it around me, either, please... you're gonna hear about it.

  33. I was feeling like Baytown Lee would probably be the 4th place finisher this year but I think I’ll switch my prediction to Kingwood Park. I liked the sophomore QB they put in against Crosby and eventually finished the season with. I didn’t realize that #4 kid that played receiver for them had that great a year? He had 1,004 receiving yards on 62 catches with 11 tds on a not very good team. The thing I value most when making a prediction about a team’s season is if they have a returning QB. KP has that, IDK what their returning linemen look like but assuming they start Jaxson Sims(sophomore) they still have the 6’5” kid who started the season at QB and will probably be a factor somewhere else? KP may give somebody some unexpected trouble this year if they figure out how to make a stop or two during a football game.

  36. But that's not what you said... Disagree. It's the intent in which the word is said. For instance, my mom used to say to me, "Son, if you don't behave, I'm gonna whip your a$$ 'til your nose bleeds." Now, I would not call her a child abuser. The saying was really pretty funny, and we would usually both laugh when she said it. She would have died for me (and almost did), and I knew it. No harm, no foul. Words are not finite in meaning or intent. It's the power "we" give those words that make them what they are in the first place. Personally, if someone called me a cracker or a honky (my favorite) , I would laugh my butt off. I don't give those words any power, so they mean nothing to me, and they sound hilarious.

  39. A little story about the brothers Pat and Mark. One day in the weight room at the field house at Silsbee High School, Pat was about to attempt to break the school squat record. (don't remember what the weight was at the time). Several kids were getting all excited about it and gathered around to watch the attempt. Pat was successful and the kids erupted with joy. One of them ran outside and saw Mark walking by and told him his brother just set the new school squat record. Mark came in to join the celebration and saw the bar still set up with the record breaking weight. He walked up, got under the bar and squatted it twice. The coach saw this and asked if he would like to be on the power lifting team. The rest is history. Pat was a senior and Mark was a freshman.
